《Triumph Book 1》Chapter Nine

It was an 8 hour drive to the earth kingdom, we only had a little money to get us there and even when we got there we had no where to go.
Willow slept nearly the whole way to the earth kingdom, we stopped a few times so I could feed her and help her go to the bathroom. She needed my full assistance the entire time she was awake, I was very afraid for her life.
When we finally made it to the borders of the earth kingdom I sighed a sigh of relief, I was so exhausted. "Passports" a tall man in a earth wolf warrior uniform stepped out of the border toll, he held his hand out waiting for the passports.
I grabbed them from the glove box and handed them to him, I waited anxiously hoping he wouldn't figure out they where fakes. "Alright, go straight and you will hit the town in 5 miles" he tells me and steps back in to the booth raising the bar so I can go through. I take a deep breath a giddy feeling came over me, I'm so excited to start over and we are finally here.
When we got to the town I stopped at the nearest store, I'm hoping to find a tent or something for me and Willow to sleep in until we can get a place.
The store we pulled up to was called Marty's, I havent ever been here so I was unsure if they would have it. Luckly they did, I also got food for us and sleeping bags. I park the car lake side by the park so my car wouldnt get towed, "Willow honey I need you to come with me we are going camping" I smile at her as she wakes up.
Me and Willow go deep in to the woods so no one can bother us for a while, I had to get willow healthy before I could get a job.
2 Weeks Later
Since Willow was a cub she healed a little faster than a human child would but it still hurt to see her like this, she got better everyday I tried to make camping fun even if we where homeless.

I have been searching the papers for jobs. I had a phone interview 2 days ago and I was waiting for them to send me paperwork to the UPS 2 blocks from where we where camping.
Ring* Ring*
I looked down at my phone it read *Library* I answered it excitedly, this was the position I had applied for a while ago. I was so suprised to get a call from them because it had been over 2 weeks.
"Hello?" I said in to the phone, An elderly voice spoke up on the other end "Miss Johnson?" She asked "this is she" I say, She cleared her throat "I'm Mrs.Andrea from the library" she pauses "I apologize for not getting back to you sooner, I had a personal emergency and couldnt contact you" she says "we would like to offer you a job if you can start tomorrow" she says.
I almost burst from excitement "definitely!" I exclaim "I'm just curious do you offer childcare?" I asked hopeful, "for the rest of the summer we have a free program if you have children" she says "thats amazing I have a little almost 4 year old girl named Willa" I say "so will we see you tomorrow?" She asks "yes Ma'am" I say smiling from ear to ear.
When I got off the phone I was over joyed I hugged Willow tightly, I had finally found a job. It was awesome that they had a free summer program, I thanked the goddess for the good luck I just had.
"Guess what sweetheart?" I say to Willow as I get her ready for bed, "what?" She says looking up at me. Her little face was finally starting to fill back up, she finally didnt look like a walking skeleton. She was still having a lot of emotional trouble, she would cry for hours because of the nightmares she was having.
"I got a job, and you get to have some fun in their summer program" I say smiling at her, "will there be kids my age?" She asks excitedly. "Yes as far as I know there will be" I tell her as I tuck her in to her sleeping bag.

She fell asleep fastly and for the first time in a while she was excited for something, I lay down in my sleeping bag and fall asleep quickly.
I wake up to my phones alarm, I get out of the sleeping bag and wake Willow up. Getting ready that morning we where excited for something a little more normal, Willow was the most chatty she had been since we got there.
We take bathes in a natural spring I found a week ago, its really cold but we where happy to get clean. I charge my phone every day 2 times a day at a gas station by the park, where we park the car and I let Willow play in the sand, she really hadnt been strong enough for anything else until 2 days ago.
I'm glad I got the job when I did my phone service is almost out, I'm not sure if I would have found a job if I lost my phone. I cooked eggs for breakfast and we sat there happliy eating them when all of a sudden I got super nauseous.
I tried to ignore it, but in the back of my mind I couldnt help but think how strange it was because I've never been sick. We didn't even make it to the library before I had to stop and puke, I got back in to the car and pushed through I knew I had to make it to my first day.
By the time we got to the library my nausea had passed, "are you excited?" I ask smiling back at Willow "yes!" She says excitedly. I get her out of her car seat and we walk in to the library, the summer program posters where hanging off to the left. A woman in her 30's came in to view, "Hello! I'm Daisy the Library summer program Leader"
"Hello Daisy, Im Angel and this is Willa, she will be joining the program while I work" I say shaking Daisys hand.
"Nice to meet you both" she says and smiles bending down to Willow's eye level. "We are excited to have you here, do you like art?" She asked, Willow nodded "Yes" she says shyly. Willow happliy goes with Daisy to work on art, its so good to see her talking with other people.
I walk over to the front desk, a older woman was behind it on the computer. "Good Morning you must be Angel" she says when she notices me "yes ma'am" I say as she gets up. "Im Mrs.Andrea" she walkes over and hands me papers "this is the paperwork for the summer program" she hands me even more paperwork "this is for the employment" she smiles "you can fill them out and we will get started once you do".
I sit down at one of the library tables and get to filling them out. It didnt take me long to finish them, once I had them finished I gave them to her. "Great, lets get this started going to show you the ropes" she says the rest of orientation went pretty fast, by the end of the day I was confident I could do this job.
When I went to pick up Willow she was having story time with about 10 other children, she jumped up and ran to give me a hug "did you have fun?" I ask "yes!" She said excitedly.
On the way home she told me all about her day, she told me about painting and reading. I was so happy to listen to the cute little stories she had for me.

The Spark
Michael Locke was a normal student, who went through his normal day in a normal fashion, until the day became... unnatural. Shot into the country of Aldemar and thrust into a new world alongside his many classmates, he agrees to work for the king in exchange for shelter and to learn magic. Fate however, is indifferent to his wishes, as he quickly realizes that he may be a hero, but his purpose in this world is quite opposite. Suddenly surrounded on every side, Michael must work to survive, and if anyone finds his secret... He's as good as dead. The Spark is meant to be a murder mystery style isekai, focused on the existence of basically an anti-hero, with every one of the large amount of heroes attempting to discover who the traitor is. This isn't made to be a lovey dovey easy going isekai with an OP mc, it's made to stir around an emotional story, with many dark tones. Still, the goal is to stay fairly light hearted as well, and the perspective will pass around to several characters throughout the story.

Master of Dungeons
-This is my first attempt at uploading a story I created. It is not a fanfic, but uses several systems from other stories I've read. I hope you enjoy, and feel free to leave comments or criticisms as appropriate. Thank you.-Edwin Cast was your (mostly) regular guy living and working in Kentucky. He had a knack for working, and was always bouncing from job to job as fancy took him. Insatiably curious, he was always on the look out for new or interesting information or things to do. You could say he was a 'hard-work fanatic'.But with an ailing mother and the inability to realize that he was being shunned by those considered his 'betters', he met his mortal end at the hands of those people who he replaced. Beaten to death on the same day his mother died, he's soon pulled from the void into a world beyond his own imagination. Reborn into a fantasy world as the last 'Demon Lord', Edwin is expected to rule over a vast number of races, each of which are considered 'monsters' and demon-kin by the zealous human kingdoms of the world. And if that wasn't enough, the only way to progress and make ends meat is to build and control 'Dungeons' for the righteous humans to invade!Edwin will have to give it his all in a world he never expected even existed, and will have to learn to survive with his wits and growing power in order to establish something resembling peace in the war-torn lands of Eternia.-NOTE: I'm still in the process of working on the storyline, characters, and abilities that will be presented. A large number of themes are planned, and mature/adult content is planned. The story may also be a bit slow in some cases, so please bare with me. Thanks again!-NOTE: People have been mentioning the rough grammar and spelling errors that come with my posts; and while I've said so in the forum comments, I'm going to post it here as well. This is all basically a rough draft. I post the chapters as I write them, with only a spell-check for accuracy. None of the chapters are proofread. Once people point out blatant errors, I try to correct them; but otherwise I'm more interested in writing. If anyone wishes to proofread my work, shoot me a PM on the forums! Thanks again.
