It was finally Saturday. You stood with the other swim club members in front of a huge stadium, wearing your official jacket (which you intensely fangirled over). The stands were already full of people who cheered on the outside yet watched and harshly judged your every move. You couldn't shake the nervousness that slowly consumed your thoughts as you waited for the events to start. Soon, a man over the speakers called for the backstroke participants and Makoto was off! Green eyes glowing with enthusiasm. As they swam, you couldn't help but think, 'So many beautiful muscular guys here. I would fangirl if I wasn't so nervous!'
Makoto finished second, then Nagisa also finished second in breathstroke, when it was your turn. Sure you swam comletitively before, but not as a dude!
You took a deep breathe as a beep signaled start and you dove in. The rush of water against your skin, the cheers of your team mates, and the burst of adrenalin pushed you as fast as you've ever swam. 'So this is what Haru feels' you thought, savoring the moment as the turn came, offering you another spurt of speed. All too soon, it was over. And you got first place.
Nagisa yelled out, "GREAT JOB (NAME)-CHAN!!!" Causing the surrounding people to look at him weirdly. You were greeted by the hugs (mostly Nagisa's) and cheers of your team, and Gou informed you your time almost broke the world record. After getting settled, everyone prepared to watch Haru swim. The familiar beep sounded and everyone jumped in. While analyzing Haru's form, you realized Nagisa was spot-on when calling Haru a dolphin. The graceful yet powerful Stokes carried him through the water as you cheered as loud as possible. In the end, he placed first as well. While everyone was walking to the vehicles, the team met up with Rin and Nitori and Nagisa suggested a celebration, which no one minded. Today's competition was a great accomplishment after all, for both teams. It was just hanging out at Haru's house again, which was totally fine. You pulled out your phone and scrolled through countless songs until you found the right one. "Now guys, you shall learn the wonder that is, Am I wrong by Nico & Vinz" Causing Makoto to smile as Rei said, "Oh please, we already know."
