I just finished reading this and let me just say, this is the best story I've read in a while! This story is 110% charming and beautiful, and I encourage everyone to give this one a read right away!
My first impressions of this story were that it captures it's Victorian theme really well. The author clearly knows what they're talking about with the style of writing that they chose. The language is spectacular and it's just a smooth and sultry style of writing that I wish I could possess.
The characters, Harry and Louis (I didn't realize this was a fanfic until about halfway in when I saw someone's comment!), and other sweet side characters, are so well written and well developed. I found both of our main characters so painfully endearing! The way they interact with each other is nothing short of beautiful.
The plot threw me for a couple loops - and I mean that in the best way! So original, so well thought out, and so properly executed. There were a few plot-twists and a few intentional misdirections that genuinely had me guessing what was going to happen next! I haven't fangirled this hard over a story in a while.
The language and grammar is, as I said, absolutely spectacular. I am so in love with this story and the beautiful use of language is partly why. This story truly is a work of art, and while you can most definitely read it without being a fan of One Direction, One Direction fans, you to check this out!
Please go give this a read! If I could describe this story in a few words: A sultry, romantic . No wonder it won a Watty Award!
