《Senior Year》The Note from Three Years Ago

After the slideshow ended, the screen was brought up and you guys went back on the stage. You wiped your tears that were rolling down your face. It was nice to have all of the summer memories on a slideshow. The interview came to an end and you guys went back to the rental house.
You took another shower and put on your pajamas. You sat down on the couch and pulled out your phone. There were a lot of Instagram notifications. As you were clearing out all of the notifications, your eyes were getting heavy. And, staring at your phone screen while you're already tired doesn't help.
Everyone else came into the living room with their pajamas on.
"Are you guys hungry?" Will asked.
"I'm still full from the picnic. Chick-Fil-A always fills me up." you said.
Everyone else felt the same.
"So, did you guys like the slideshow?" Wes asked, sitting on the couch.
Everyone responded with out of sync answers. You checked your texts and your ex hasn't texted you since Thomas's warning message.
You remembered something.
When your ex broke up with you, you wrote a list of things down on your Notes app of everything that you want in your next boyfriend. You went to your Notes scrolled all the way down to the bottom of the folder. Just then, Thomas sits next to you. He has a cup of tea in his hands.
"What are you looking at, love?" he asked.
"I just remembered that when my ex broke up with me, I wrote a list of things that I wanted in my next boyfriend." you explained.
Everyone else was looking at you when you said that.
"Well, do I fit the criteria?" Thomas asked.
You started to read the list. It was long, but that's all the things that your ex didn't do. As you read each thing, Thomas was counting on his fingers to see how many things he already does for you.

-Loves me for me
-Better be ready for my crazy family and friends
-Supports me in my activities and I'll do the same for him
-Respects rules and boundaries
-Not have the same incident that I had with my ex
-Comforts me when I'm mad or upset
-Ask me out in person, NOT through the phone
-Take me on dates
-Be by my side no matter what
-Doesn't get frustrated at the littlest things
-Doesn't make excuses
-Wants a normal relationship
-In the future, gets down on one knee
There was a little side note at the bottom of the list. You were about to read it, but you stopped yourself.
"What?" Kaya questioned.
"At the end of the list, I put a little note and I stopped myself from reading out loud." you explained.
"What is it?" Ki Hong asked.
You were embarrassed to read it. All eyes were on you. You exhaled and read the sentence.
"When all else fails, just give me Thomas Brodie-Sangster."
They all busted out laughing. They laughed for a good five minutes. They were wiping tears from their eyes and holding their stomachs.
"Okay. Okay! OKAY!" you yelled at them to stop.
"Well, love, I fit all that criteria to be your boyfriend and you have the Thomas Brodie-Sangster, so you have nothing to lose." he said.
You smiled, knowing that you couldn't have asked for a better guy to be your boyfriend. Your best friends and parents have always told you that there was a guy somewhere out there just waiting for you.
And he was!
