《Senior Year》The Homecoming Dance

It's now Saturday, which is the night of the Homecoming dance. You couldn't wait to get all dolled up and dance the night away. You got up to fix yourself some cereal. When you walked into the living room, your parents were watching the weather for the day. Storms are supposed to be coming through the area all day. You didn't let that ruin the day of the Homecoming dance.

You fixed yourself some cereal. As you were eating, it started to rain. Really hard. You texted Kendra and Gwen in the group message, cancelling the pictures at your house and the three of you came up with a plan B. When you meet up with them at Outback, that's when you guys will take pictures. It won't be the best, but it's better than nothing. After eating breakfast, you got dressed and your mom took you to a spa to get your nails done.

After that, you came back home and waited for older cousin to come over to do your hair and makeup. She always helps you get ready and she loves doing it for you. You laid out your dress and shoes on your bed. While waiting, you ate lunch and watched Netflix. As the minutes turned into an hour, the rain started to come down even harder.

You heard the sound of a car driving up to the house. That meant that your cousin was here. She and her husband came in with bags and wet raincoats.

"Hey girl. Are you ready get all glammed up?" she asked.

"Yes." you simply said.

You and your cousin went into your parents' bathroom. Or should you say Homecoming salon.

After about over an hour, she finished doing your hair. It was like she braided all around the top of your hair, then the rest of your hair was curled.

Now, onto the next part...makeup. You didn't want something too heavy. All you got was a little color of your cheeks. The eyeshadow on your eyelids and the mascara on your eyelashes made your eyes pop. For your lips, you wore a light pink lipgloss. Finally after all that, your cousin sprayed a liquid on your face to set your makeup. You got up out of the chair and look at yourself in the mirror. You looked beautiful.

There's still about two more hours until you have to get dressed and go to dinner, so you just sat in the living room and watched TV with your parents, cousin, and her husband. It was mainly reports about the weather. It's supposed to get worse as the day goes on. You're still not gonna the weather ruin the last Homecoming dance of high school. When it was about 4:30pm, you decided it was time to get dressed. Your dress was a teal, Chiffon dress with lots of gemstones and.

After looking at your complete outfit in the mirror and admiring how beautiful you looked, you came out into the living room. Your parents took some pictures, and you and your cousin took a selfie.

You and your parents got into your mom's car to go to dinner. You texted Kendra and Gwen to meet at Outback. All three of you had a booth and had dinner. After you all finished eating, it was time to go to the dance. All three of you made a run of it through the rain. You guys gave the attendant your tickets and went into the cafeteria. It was definitely gonna be a night under the stars.
