《Cut Deep (Eren x Reader ft. Titan Eren)》~ Chapter 13 ~

After a long hard day of training, I stumble up into my bedroom where I begin to write a letter to my parents. Out of all the soldiers in the Scouts, I'm in the small percentage that is fortunate to have both of my parents happy and alive, and every Monday we are allowed to post mail to friends or family.
Dear Mother, I begin to write,
I hope both you and Father are doing well. I am enjoying my time being in the Scouting Legion, and am happy to say I will be visiting you shortly on my week break at the end of the month.
It's this time of the year again where they are hosting a Scout Ball, except this year, you have to pick a dancing partner. The boy I like, hasn't asked anyone yet, so I'm hoping he will ask me before the night.
I love you both endlessly, and miss you very much.
Lots of Love, (Y/N) xxx
I look over my writing and shrug off the stupidity of it. I seal it in an envelope and quickly rush down to the front office so it can be posted. I rush because I don't want any of my friends to see me, as they aren't as lucky as me to have parents and I don't want to feel guilty for it.
I slip my envelope into a box at the front office, and am caught by none other than Eren Jaeger himself.
My heart sinks and my pupils dilate at his sight.
"Good evening, (Y/N)." He smiles politely.
"Hi...E...Eren," I stutter nervously.
"What are you doing?" He questions, his teal eyes looking deep into mine.
"Just...just...posting a...a... letter," I mutter guiltily.

"Who to?"
"My...my... parents," I choke. I hate feeling so bad for having my parents alive.
"Oh, okay." He shakes the question off. "Bye," Eren walks off back to his room.
After dinner I wander outside, for some fresh air before I go to sleep. Jean is probably asking Mikasa out at this very moment, I think. I saw him going up to his room to probably freshen up before coming back down to the food hall to ask her. He showed me what exactly he was going to ask her on paper, and it was very poetic and deep to his heart.
I take the short route to the pond, where I bump into a few other Scout members going for an evening walk. Just as I'm about the reach the pond, I hear a familiar voice and freeze in my tracks.
At the pond's edge stands Eren, his chestnut hair messily brushed back and Mikasa, her crimson scarf attached to her neck. The sun sits at the horizon, leaving a glow on their cheeks.
"What did you want, Eren? I need to go speak to Jean," Mikasa slowly speaks.
"That horse face can wait," He chuckles lightly. "Mikasa, there is something I needed to ask you,"
"No," I quietly choke, fat, salty, tears forming in my eyes.

Synergy
Dear Inspector, Please accept this letter as my formal resignation from being a Player. Hey! Laugh all you want, but I had to try. With no rules down here, who's to say that I can't resign? Anyway, my reasons are simple: I'm neither a gamer nor a hero. You got the wrong person for the job. Sure, the pay is decent and I could pretty much live like a king if, you know, I wasn't so busy trying to survive. I have major concerns about the demonic dagger bound to my soul too. Come to think of it, I've never asked to be transported to this fantasy land either and would like you to return me home, thank you very much. I don't want supernatural powers, I don't want to complete quests after quests, and I don't want to be your test subject anymore. What? I'm not whining, you're whining. Stop making excuses and let me leave already. Thank you for your understanding, and I hope you'll find a better replacement after I'm gone for good. Sincerely,Randel, the Mad Painter What to expect from Synergy: --> Some GameLit elements are presented subversively. If you want the protagonist to “play the game” properly, this might not be the story for you.--> No filler chapters; the story's structure is already plotted out. It's going to have six story arcs.--> Character development happens slowly, over many chapters. Don't expect a perfect protagonist right off the bat.--> Some romance, but it will never be the main focus.--> Humor and dark elements in equal measure, but not to the extent that I’d label this story as “Comedy” or “Grimdark”. ... and lots and lots of Author's Notes. See you on the other side of the portal!

Homecoming | A Chronicles of Ascension Story
When Jethen was captured by slavers, his childhood was torn from him and left shattered half a world away. When he finds himself back home decades later, by methods he does not fully understand, he finds that the life he has lived has changed him far more than he knew. In a home he no longer knows. Places and people at the same time familiar and foreign, he must decide - stay and help with his parent's business, or return to the land that remade him and the family he made there. --------- Homecoming started as just a short story to break an episode of writers block. It has since morphed well beyond that into a novel in it's own right, and may well end up with a sequel. The writing of Homecoming became a bit of a self induced challenge to improve my initial, first brush, writing quality. Each chapter was written raw, given a once over read and edit, and then posted. In this way I am forcing myself to write better from the start. I do hope you enjoy the story and will leave a comment or review, and if you see an issue, feel free to let me know as well. I know it is not nearly perfect, and it will get a full and proper edit once I am done. Never hurts to fix things along the way though. As an additional note. The story has undergone a structural rework and has been reposted in an updated structure and sequence of chapters. If you have read this story already, I invite you to do so again in this new structure.

A Beholder's Path
Hello, it’s me, Aether. As a beholder, curiosity is the driving force of my existence, which is why when I found a new world close to mine, I just had to tear a passage through spacetime to explore it. The rest of the demon world may or may not have used this passage to invade, but I am sure all the sentient races of that world would agree a demon apocalypse is definitely in the top ten best things that could happen to them.
