"Hey," Sweet Pea said as he sat next to you and Toni. You smiled at Sweet Pea, sadness pinging through your body. You guys had been broken up for a couple months now. The reason you guys broke up? You were a northsider, Cheryl's closest friend. The two of you got into an argument and you chose to leave with Cheryl.

Your head was held high as you walked through the hall. Cheryl had her arm linked with yours as you two made your way to the lockers. Sweet Pea watched with sad eyes, the bags under his eyes getting worse with each day. He smelt of beer but no one dared say anything to the towering figure.

"You aren't over her, are you?" Fangs asked as he looked at the boy next to him. "No," Sweet Pea muttered as he looked across the lunch room at you. You and Cheryl were sitting together, laughing. Sweet Pea and you locked eyes. Sweet Pea thought back to one of the first days he transferred to Riverdale High. Sweet Pea had started an unnecessary fight with Reggie and a group of Bulldogs. You stormed up to the group and yelled at both of them to get them to stop.

Sweet Pea rolled onto his back and stared at the ceiling. He wiped at his teary eyes and remembered back to the time you and him were together. Slowly, he passed out. His dreams shuffled through all the happy times you had. When he woke up, there was the stench of sweat and alcohol in his room.

You sighed as Cheryl sat on your bed. Tears escaped your eyes as Cheryl looked at you. She got off the bed and pulled you into a hug. "It'll be okay," she whispered. More tears fell as you thought of Sweet Pea and how he would hold you when you cried.

Sweet Pea walked into the woods and sat where you guys used to cuddle. Little did he know, you were hiding in the bushes. He shouted and hit the ground, letting all the pent up emotions out. As he did that, you cried. Once he left, you cried for hours.

Weeks passed and both of you noticed the other trying to get better. Hopefully, you both would become happy again.
