Okay Okay OKAY

I'm going to try to address this as nicely as I can because I know no one is TRYING to be rude or TRYING to backseat my story BUT that's what's happening.

So in I NEED YOU (9) Madison is having a breakdown about her sexual assault, and begs for Corpse to come be with her. He ends up coming to the OTV house, even though it makes him incredibly uncomfortable, but he does it for her. He even explains to her how it wasn't handled correctly, helping her work through what had happened.

I thought that in the following chapter, it is explained in detail why she was freaking out the way she was, but some readers still feel the need to invalidate the emotions and feelings that come with dealing with trauma.

Here's the thing: everyone handles trauma differently. Madison is written in a way that is very straight forward FROM THE BEGINNING. She is working on herself throughout the book; its called character development. Without it, this story would be so boring and poorly written. She attaches herself to Corpse because that's what she's used to. She has poor coping mechanisms, and doesn't handle stress well. That's explained and shown so many times in this story, but somehow people still feel the need to have a problem with it.

People have also commented on them being "toxic" for each other, which in some ways, they are. They are both working through their own issues while trying to be together, so yeah, they're going to have issues. Some situations wont be handled well, some arguments will seem pointless, because that's REALISTIC when you're working through a very new relationship.

So yeah, some view it as toxic or cringy or whatever else, HOWEVER, that's what makes this story keep going. I can't just write fluffy chapters all the time, and I'm not going to start throwing in irrelevant characters and family issues when that's never been mentioned in this story. That'd be a waste of your time and mine. They're working through their issues, and that's how the story goes.

Anyway, I'm so incredibly grateful for all the reads and votes on this story. I never expected it to blow up the way it has.
