Harley sat up in bed, breathing heavily, and her whole body was shaking. It was normal for her to have nightmares after her years of abuse with the Joker, but since she had been with you, they didn't happen very often. She realised she must have accidentally pulled away from you in her sleep. Tears that had been welling up in her eyes started spilling over and she felt around for you in the bed. "(Y/N)? (Y/N), w-where are ya?" she asked. You woke up as you felt her hand touch you, as she tried to find you and you heard the panic in her voice.

"Harley? What's wrong?" you asked, sleepily.

"N-Nothin'. I just couldn't find ya but I have now. Go back to sleep," she sniffled. You frowned, hearing how upset she sounded, and turned on the light on the table next to your bed. She was shaking and you felt really worried.

"Harl? What happened?" you asked. Tears were still running down her cheeks.

"I-I had a n-nightmare," she whispered. You sat up and wrapped your arms around her.

"Was it about... Him?" you asked, gently. She just nodded and buried her head in your shoulder. You rubbed her back gently as she sobbed into your shoulder. "Shhh. It's okay Harl, you've got me," you whispered, soothingly. You stayed like that until she eventually stopped crying. She rubbed her tired eyes and wiped the tears away.

"I'm tired, (N/N). Let's go back to sleep," she yawned. You nodded and laid back down with her, after turning the light back off. She cuddled up to you. "I love you," she mumbled as she drifted off to sleep. You smiled.
