Chloe's mom came upstairs around six to get the girls for dinner. She smiled when she saw the picture in front of her. Beca was laying on the bed with Chloe laying on top of her. Beca's arms were wrapped securely around the redhead while Chloe was snuggled deep into Beca's neck. She didn't want to wake them but it was time for dinner.
"Beca, Chlo?" Cindy said as she came closer to the two girls.
"Girls" she said a little louder as she shook Beca's arm.
Beca stirred in her sleep and her eyes began to flutter open. Mrs. Beale smiled down at her.
"Time for dinner" she said and Beca nodded.
"Okay. We'll be down soon. Gotta wake this one up" Beca said gesturing to Chloe.
"Okay" Cindy said leaving the room.
"Chlo, Chlo wake up" Beca said shaking the girl.
"No" Chloe grumbled as she buried her head deeper into Beca's neck.
"It's time for dinner and I'm hungry so wake up" Beca said shaking her again.
"Ugh fine" Chloe groaned as she rolled off of Beca.
"You act like it's the end of the world. It's not like I deny you from cuddling" Beca said chuckling.
"But you're so comfy and you always leave and then I can't sleep." Chloe whined.
"How bout this, after my meeting tonight I'll come back here and spend the night with you." Beca suggested and Chloe nodded quickly making Beca laugh.
"Okay now that that's settled, let's go eat" Beca said getting up and leaving the room.
After dinner Beca left to head home and tell her parents that she's staying at Chloe's.
"Dad! Mom!" She'd yell as she walked in.
"Living room!" Her mom yelled back.
"Hey just so you guys know I'm staying at Chloe's tonight" she said walking in.
"I don't like you spending time with that girl" Her Dad said.
"Why? Because she's bi?" Beca asked defensively.
"Yes. That's a sin Beca, I don't want it rubbing off on you" he said.
"It's not a disease or habit that can be passed along. She didn't choose to be Bi, it chose her. Why can't you just accept her. She's the same girl I grew up with" Beca said getting angry.
"She is not! She's a disgrace to humanity and I forbid you from spending anymore time with her!" He said yelling.
"Dad! She's my best friend!" Beca yelled.
"Honey think about this, Beca grew up with Chloe. You can't just stop them from being together" Beca's mom tried.
"I can and I will, I forbid you from ever seeing or spending time with that girl! She's bad news Rebeca!" He yelled.
"I fucking hate you! Your not stopping me from seeing my best friend. I'm going over their whether you like it or not!" She yelled running up to her room.
She packed a duffle bag and headed back downstairs to hear her parents arguing.
"I'm tired of this Greg! Just accept the poor girl and stop turning to alcohol every time you and Beca fight!" Her mom yelled.

"I'll never accept that disappointment and you know that!" He yelled back.
"That's it I'm done!" Her mom yelled.
"Beca come on we're leaving" her mother yelled up the stairs.
"What why? What's happening?" Beca asked scared.
"I can't deal with your fathers bullshit anymore. We're leaving" she said grabbing Beca's hand and leading her out the door.
"Leaving forever?" Beca asked.
"You can still see him if you want but I can't deal with it anymore. I want to divorce your father" she said as they got in the car.
"Wait really?" Beca asked surprised.
"Yes. Don't worry I won't take you away from Chloe, I'll try to find a house as close as possible so you can stay close to your friends." Her Mom said.
"But Mom, I don't want to lose you, I don't want to lose Dad" Beca said, tears brimming her eyes.
"You won't lose either of us hon, I promise to never leave you" her mother said as she pulled up to the Beale residence.
"Okay" Beca said in a whisper.
"I love you" she said kissing Beca's head.
"Love you too" Beca said as she got out of the car.
She grabbed her duffle bag and headed towards the tree. She watched as her mother left before climbing the tree and knocking on Chloe's window. Chloe approached with a smile face but it soon fell when she saw the tears in Beca's eyes.
"Bec? What happened?" She asked as she climbed in.
"I got into a fight with my Dad. When I ran up to my room to get some stuff my parents started arguing. When I came back down my mom yelled that she was done and we left. She told me she wants to divorce my father. I don't know what's gonna happen but would you mind me staying here for a few days? Until things settle down?" Beca asked.
"Yeah of course. You always have a place here. Can I ask what you and your dad were fighting about?" Chloe asked carefully.
"You. I told them I was coming here tonight and he snapped. Yelling that spending time with you was a sin and that you were gonna rub off on me. He tried to forbid me from seeing you again. Mom tried defending me by saying that we grew up together. He can't just break us apart like that. Then things went south and now I'm here." Beca told her as she played with her hands.
"I'm sorry Bec, I'm tearing your family apart." Chloe said moving closer to Beca.
"You didn't do anything Chlo, it's my Dads fault. I need to call Jason. I don't think I can go to this meeting in my state of mind." She said getting up and walking to Chloe's bathroom.
"Jason" Beca said into the phone.
"What?"
"I can't do the meeting tonight. Mom and Dad were fighting and Mom wants a divorce. I won't be able to focus in my state of mind. Could we do it tomorrow?" She asked.

"I'm really sorry about that Bec, does Jesse know?" He asked.
"No, ever since you turned me Jesses been spending more time out as a wolf because he doesn't have to hide it from me anymore." Beca explained.
"I'll break the news to him then. I'll just come talk to you at some point tomorrow. Don't worry about the meeting."
"Thanks Uncle J" Beca said before hanging up.
Once she emerged from the bathroom she started looking for her tennis ball.
"Chlo, where's my tennis ball?" Beca asked looking around.
"In the drawer with all your other stuff" Chloe said from the bed.
"Ah found it." She picked the ball up and started throwing it up and down as she paced the floor.
Beca picked up the habit from her father. Instead of getting angry and hurting yourself or others, throw a ball around. Now she's got tennis balls stashed everywhere.
"Beca calm down" Chloe said softly.
"Calm down? How the hell am I suppose to calm down. I was turned into a Werewolf without my consent, my parents are divorcing, my brother rarely spends time with me anymore. I acted like a dick to all my friends. My life is falling apart at the moment and you want me to calm down" Beca said angry.
"I know it's hard but everything will be okay" Chloe stood up and walked over to the brunette.
"You have no clue what the hell I'm going through" Beca said throwing the ball once more.
"Then tell me, explain to me. Help me understand what's going on inside that head of yours." Chloe calmly said as she took the brunettes hands in hers.
"It's just so hard" Beca said defeated as she let Chloe pull her to the bed.
"Just talk, I'll listen" Chloe said as she sat the both of them down.
"Now being a Wolf I have so much more responsibility. I have to learn all these new things. I never wanted this but Jason did. My parents are splitting because of something as stupid as the sexuality of someone not even related to them. Jesse doesn't hang around with me now that Theo and Luke are here. Stacie, Amy, Emily and Benji won't answer my texts after I was a dick to them. And to top it all off, I think I have a crush on a girl" Beca said defeated.
"Wait wait wait wait, you have a crush on a girl and I'm just now finding out about it?" Chloe asked, playfully being offended.
"It just happened a few days ago Sherlock I didn't even know what was happening" Beca said sarcastically making Chloe laugh.
"Who's the girl?" Chloe asked.
"You know that new girl who just came to our school? Brittany?" Beca asks.
"Of course she's the only other redheaded girl in the school." Chloe said with a chuckle.
"Well we got paired up in science as lab partners. We've been talking and I felt things for her I've never felt before." Beca explained.
"Do you know if she's into girls?" Chloe asked.
"She wears a gay pride wristband so I'm hoping that's for her" Beca said with a smile.
"Tell me about her." Chloe asked.
"She's beautiful Chlo, her smile is so bright it could light up a room. Her laughs on of the most beautiful sounds. I love her hair, redheads always seem to be hot." Beca laughed as she felt Chloe smack her arm.
"I think if she had your eyes, she'd be one of the most beautiful girls in Barden." Beca said and Chloe furrowed her eyebrows.
"My eyes?" Chloe asked.
"Yeah, Chlo your eyes are the most beautiful thing in the world. Someone could get lost in those for hours." Beca said and Chloe blushed.
"Is she into the same things you are?" Chloe asked.
"Yeah, she loves music. Plays the guitar and piano, she also sings. She's into basketball. We have different likes too but she's almost perfect." Beca said and Chloe's heart stung at how love struck the brunette seemed to be.
Chloe's had a crush on the brunette since they were freshman. Beca's actually how Chloe figured out she was bi. She always hid her crush from Beca and their friends because she didn't know how the brunette felt and didn't want to ruin their friendship. It hurt Chloe knowing that Beca could have been hers but she was too late.
"You should try asking her out" Chloe suggested.
"You really think that's a good idea with everything that's happening." Beca said, referring to the wolf thing.
"It'll be a good distraction from it. Once you trust her fully then you can tell her and see what happens." Chloe says.
"Yeah maybe I'll ask her to the movies tomorrow" Beca said with a small smile.
"Good. Now I'm tired, can we cuddle and go to sleep?" Chloe asked.
"Even if I said no you'd still cuddle me." Beca said with a laugh.
"Well I need all the cuddles I can get before you have a girlfriend and can't cuddle me anymore." Chloe said.
"Chlo even with a girlfriend you could still cuddle me. You'll always come first" Beca said as they both got ready for bed.
"You say that now but when the time comes you'll pick your girlfriend over me" Chloe said.
"I'll never pick a girl over my best friend. Your too important. I might not spend ever hour of everyday with you anymore, but I won't let you think I've forgotten about you." Beca told her seriously before laying down, where Chloe laid on top of her.
"I just don't want to lose you. I could barely spend this past day without talking to you, let alone the rest of the year." Chloe said.
"You're always gonna be my number one Chlo, forever and always" Beca said before kissing the top of Chloe's head.
"Now the time has come Red, for us to go to bed. " Beca said turning off the light.
"Okay Dr. Seuss. Goodnight" Chloe said.
"Goodnight"

Viceroy's Pride
This story could be about the Tellask Empire, ruler of a thousand suns and faced with imminent peril at the hands of the Orakh hordes. It could be about Paltai Amberell, the scion of a noble elven House, fallen upon hard times and seeking to find the key that will restore his family's name and save the Empire itself. It could be the story of his voidship, The Viceroy's Pride, powered by magic and crewed by a team of crack marines as they search for adventure and the solution to the Empire's myriad problems. Instead, this is the story of Daniel Thrush, human electrical engineer, befuddled researcher and survivor of the debacle that was first contact with a spacefaring civilization. Due to a combination of luck, magic, hard work, and more luck he is thrust into the center of events as Earth is shoved onto a much larger stage rife with semi-immortal elves and magical kingdoms that predate the Earthly invention of agriculture. Earth is outnumbered, and we have precisely one wizard. Dan. He's not very good at it, but he's going to have to learn in a hurry or watch everything he knows get torn apart by massive spacefaring empires straight from the pages of a fantasy novel. ---------- Some readers have noted that the MC tends to be weak willed and pushed around a bit. A significant portion of the story is his character growth into not being a pushover (i.e. him being passive is in the early chapters on purpose). I'm just including this caveat/warning to make sure that readers aren't surprised/upset and that they stick with it until he learns to stand up for himself. His arc begins to crystallize around chapters 25-27. If that's too long to wait, I get it, I'm just trying to do my due diligence and warn you that the character development is a bit of a slow burn. This is NOT a harem novel. Nothing against them, just not what it is. --------- Updates Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday Feel free to bother me on our discord- Discord!
