Today was finally the day of meeting White Widow. Benji found a long sleeved dress for Courtney. It was black and was covered with sparkles. Courtney's arm didn't hurt that much, and it didn't have the bandage on anymore, so she was able to fit into the piece of clothing. It was a bit tight at the waist but it was the only thing Benji liked. The only problem was that it was smaller than the size she wore.

August seemed to like it too. She was forced to wear it for the whole day. She really did like the outfit. She just hated the way it was tight at the waist. She complained about it to August a lot of times.

"Auggie." She said, looking directly in front of her.

He looked at her, sighing. "The dress is tight, isn't it?"

"How did you.."

"Know what you were going to say?"

She nodded.

"You've said that at least 20 times. Where exactly is it tight?"

"Waist."

"Don't move and keep your eyes focused on mine."

She looked at him, a little bit confused and worried. "Please don't hurt me."

"Like I've said before, I won't hurt you. I will never hurt you. Good teammates don't hurt good teammates."

"What about Ethan?"

"He's a bad teammate. Bad teammates intentionally hurt good teammates."

"What would the good teammate do?"

"A good teammate will always tell other good teammates what has happened. Then the good teammates can defend themselves against the bad teammate."

"Really?"

"Really."

As he was talking, he gently placed his hands on her waist. She didn't notice this. She just kept her gaze on him. She didn't know he was distracting her so he could feel how tight the dress was around her waist.

"How about this: we can get you a new dress."

"But I like this one."

"We don't know where Benji got it, do we?"

"N-No..."

"We can find one like that in your size."

"But it won't be the same."

"It won't be the same because it won't be tight."

"Fine... but you aren't paying."

He raised an eyebrow. "And why is that?"

"Because I have money of my own."

"Courtney."

"August."

"I'm paying."

"You're not."

"I am."

"You aren't paying."

"If you don't let me pay, you don't love me."

She stayed quiet for a few seconds.

"That's just blackmailing!"

"Shhh..." He covered her mouth, letting go after a few seconds as he felt bad. "S-Sorry."

"It's... alright." She sighed, looking down. "I'm used to it."

"You shouldn't be used to it, Courts."

"Why?"

"I... I.."

"You what?"

"Look at me."

She sighed and looked at him.

"You, my favourite little woman, are a very brave lady."

"How?"

"You've been through a lot. I get that. I understand it more than anyone."

"You understand it?"

"Of course I do."

"Why would you understand it?"

"Because I've been through a similar thing as you, Little Cutie."

"You have?!"

"Shh... shhh." He stared at the wall. "I really don't want to talk about it."

She held his hand, smiling sadly. "I told you about my personal thing. You tell me yours."

"Fine..." He sighed. "I... I... I can't do this."

"You can. Believe in yourself."

He opened his mouth as if he was about to speak.

Knock... Knock...

"Who is it?" Courtney asked, a bit curious.

"Benji... Benji Dunn."

She opened the door and looked at Benji.

"I... umm... found the dress in your actual size. I realised that I bought you a size that was a bit small." He said, giving her the dress.

"Thank you!" She smiled and took it from him, closing the door.

She looked at August, sighing sadly. "People always interrupt at the worst times, don't they?"

He didn't reply.

"Auggie?"

Nothing.

"August... stop ignoring me."

Still nothing.

"What did I do wrong?"

He sighed. "Nothing..."

"So you're finally talking?"

He nodded quickly.

"Can you at least tell me about this personal thing?"

"N-No."

"Why?"

"Because..."

"Because why?"

"They told me I'm not allowed to tell anyone."

"August..." She sighed. "They just want to win. You said that a good teammate will always tell other good teammates what has happened. Then the good teammates can defend themselves against the bad teammate."

"That was a lie!"

"Calm down. Take a few deep breaths. Also, don't look. I'm changing."

He sighed and took a few deep breaths while she changed into the new dress, back to him.

It was a relief to her. She hated having her body being visible to the world for personal reasons. She just... hated it.

She, of course, was self conscious. She blamed it on her father; the father that abused her; the father that did almost anything to hurt her. Everything that made her different would be blamed on the sick man that abused her.

August stared at her. She had tiny scars scattered around her back and loads of bruises. The backs of her arms were covered in scars and bruises. Every inch of her visible body was covered in scars and bruises.

Courtney didn't know August was staring at her but she could feel eyes staring at her back.

August continued to stare at her. He couldn't help it. He was starting to get a bit worried and concerned. He stared at the wall just as she was finished. He didn't want her to know that he was staring at her.

Courtney sighed and sat beside him.

"Where do I start?" August asked, looking at her.

"Wherever you want to start." She replied, looking back at him and holding his hand tight.

"Alright..." He sighed. "My family... they... they..."

"They what?"

"They abused me."

"Your whole family?"

He nodded. "All of them. Well, not all of them. My grandmother didn't do it. My father didn't do it. One of my siblings didn't do it."

"What kind was it?"

"Physical and emotional."

"Wait... what?!"

"I know how you feel. Shocking, isn't it?"

She nodded.

"My brothers didn't do it until my mother told them to do it. They were always caring for me... or so I thought."

She sighed. "Are you terrified that it will happen again?"

"No. Are you?"

"Well..."

"Just tell me the truth, Courts."

"I'm terrified that men will do it to me."

"So yes?"

"Of course."

He sighed sadly.

"Will you ever hurt me like that?"

"No. As I've said before, I have never hurt you nor will I ever hurt you."

"Really?"

"Yes, really. Have I hurt you before?"

"No."

"I won't hurt you, okay?"

She smiled slightly.

"Can I ask you something, Courts?"

"Sure."

"You know those scars on your back?"

"What scars?" She asked, realisinghe had looked at her body.

"You don't know what I'm talking about, do you?"

"N-Not really..."

"Do you mind if I touch you?"

"No..."

He gave her a small smile and pulled the dress up from the back. She was nervous, very nervous, and bit her lip.

"I'm not going to hurt you, alright?"

"A-Alright."

"You're nervous, aren't you?"

She nodded as he moved her hair out of the way.

"So... you actually don't know that you have scars and bruises all over your back?"

"Well, I know I do. I just didn't know I had loads of them."

"Well... now you do." He wrapped his arms around her waist, making her shudder. "Don't be terrified of me. There's nothing to be scared about."

She smiled slightly and looked at him.

"Courts, how many scars do you think you have?"

"I don't know... loads."

"I need a number."

"53."

"Can I touch one?"

"Touch one?"

"I won't hurt you, Little One."

"Fine..."

He looked at her and picked her up, making the front of her torso face him. She wrapped her legs around his waist, arms around his neck, and stared into his eyes.

That's when he kissed her passionately and gently rubbed her back, touching her scars. It was a very slow kiss. But, since they were dating, it was more enjoyable.

August, being August, wouldn't try anything inappropriate on Courtney unless she was ready for it. He understood what had happened in her life and was prepared to keep her safe. That was his objective: keep his girl safe until the end. If they weren't dating but were still teammates, he would keep her safe. He knew she was used to it. What made him like her? Why did he want to date her? Thoughts began to run through his head.

I was running late for an interview with my boss but, as I was getting prepared, I could hear someone fighting. I looked out the window and found a girl, who looked about 18, fighting off drunk men. Why did it have to be her? Well, she did look very cute from the window.

Once I was ready, I ran out the door and walked to the elevator. I couldn't be bothered to take the stairs down to the first floor. When I got outside, that girl was being cornered. Did I recognise her? Probably not. The men started to touch her innocent body. I couldn't bare the sight of it. She defended herself by kicking a man in the gut and punching men in the chest.

'What do I do?' I thought to myself.

That's when I stepped in to the weird conversation.

"Hey! Leave her alone. She didn't do anything to make you touch her."

The men stood there like statues made of stone. It was like they were attached to her like glue.

"You heard what I said! Get away from her!"

The girl looked at me and sighed. "You didn't have to do that."

"I know... are you alright?"

"I'm fine. But you still didn't have to do what you just did."

"You're lucky that I got here on time, Miss.."

"Jenkins." She interrupted. "Courtney Jenkins. And you are?"

"Walker... August Walker."

That name sounded familiar. Courtney... Jenkins. Wasn't she a spy? Didn't she work for MI6 or ASIS? I don't remember.

She started to shiver.

"Here." I took my jacket off. "Put it on"

"Are you sure?" She asked, blushing lightly and moving closer to me.

"I'm sure."

She must've known I was warm because she kept asking me to cuddle her. She was cold and scared so I didn't decline.

It was a good thing that I had called a taxi an hour before I noticed her. She didn't want to walk in the cold and I was exhausted. She did look cute in that jacket.

The taxi arrived after a few minutes so we didn't have to wait outside in the cold for long. I allowed her to get in first as I was kind of being a gentleman. I got in afterward, closed the door and gave the driver the address.

I looked at the woman beside me. Now that I think of it, she looked around 20. Maybe she was 18 and looked 20. I don't know. What if she was 19? I had no idea.

We made it to the headquarters a while later and Courtney was confused about why she was here. My boss was waiting at the reception and was curious on why there was a random girl with me. I explained that she would be perfect for the job. Sloane nodded.

I signed her up, asking her if she wanted to do this. She agreed but she was a bit worried on where she would stay. Sloane suggested that she could stay with me. But we had only just met.

"She'll be safe with you, August. Trust me."

"What if we don't get along?"

"You seem like a perfect match for her. She seems like a perfect match for you."

Courtney and I got along like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle when they're all connected. We seemed to like the same things. She got put in my department and was my partner in crime.

After a month of getting to know each other and befriending each other, I began to develop feelings for her. I don't know if she felt the same.

Two years later, I woke up to her cuddling my arm which was kind of cute. A few days later, we worked with IMF. Ethan hurt her.

Another few days later, we had our first kiss and I found out about her personal stuff.

The same day, she fell asleep on me and we had another kiss.

The next day, we started dating. Ethan hurt her again. And now, we're kissing while I'm rubbing her back.

It's surprising how you can spend two years with someone and make your relationship grow bigger with them. I must've gotten lucky for a change.

Normally, my love life is a few months long and doesn't work. With Courtney, it feels like it will be longer and will work. I guess I'll just have to see what the future brings.

Courtney eventually pulled away. She couldn't let him continue. She just couldn't. If she did, she would be allowing him to be in control. But she did say that every time they kissed, he was in control.

She sighed. "Can you pull the dress down?"

"Fine..." He pulled the dress down, smiling slightly." I'm counting the scars later."

"No! That's just pointless and a bit weird."

"Okay, maybe it is a bit weird."

"Auggie, there's something about the abuse that I wanted to do."

"Talk about it? Report it?"

"Well... yeah. But, what would you do if you were being abused and it didn't stop until you were... like... adult aged?"

"Tell a person that I actually trust and report it to the police."

"The thing is, I didn't do that."

"Why?"

"Because... I didn't know what to do, okay? I thought it was a good thing to be quiet and not be heard but, as usual, I was probably wrong."

"Courts, we can easily get that evil, sinister man to jail. You just have to tell me about it. And you're not wrong. Nothing you do is wrong. You just didn't know what to do at the time."

"Really?"

He nodded. "I can report him. I can help you, only if you help me."

"What about your... thing?"

"What do you mean?"

"Did you ever tell someone?"

"As a matter of fact, I did."

"Who?"

"My grandmother... and my dad."

"How many brothers do you have?"

"Three."

"What were they called?"

"Eddie, Jack and Daniel."

"So they all abused you?"

"Well... not all of them."

"Who did it then?"

"Daniel and Jack."

"What about Eddie?"

"He looked after me."

"When age were you when it stopped?"

"17..."

She stayed quiet.

"Anyway, back to you. What would you do about your abuse?"

"You'll hate me for it."

"Just tell me. I won't hate you."

"I ended up trying to hurt myself."

"You... hurt yourself?"

She sighed sadly. "Well, technically, I tried to commit suicide."

"What the fuck were you THINKING?!"

"I don't know!"

"If you died, you wouldn't have met me."

"But..."

"No buts." He grabbed her hand. "Promise me something."

"Fine."

"Don't go near ANYTHING that can hurt you." He ran his other hand through her hair. "You promise?"

"I promise."

"Good." He kissed her cheek, making her blush.

Knock... knock... knock

Another knock on the door. It always happened in their moments, didn't it? August mumbled a few swear words. Courtney sighed and got off of him, smiling sadly. Instead of her opening the door, August did it for her. It was Ethan.

"Is she alright?" He asked, sighing.

"She's fine." August replied.

"Did anything inappropriate happen?"

"No."

"Good. I'll be waiting at the front door. Tell her to hurry up."

The door closed again. Courtney stared at the ground.

"Are you alright, Courtsey?"

"Mhm."

Silence filled the room.

"What do I wear with... this?" She asked, sighing.

He smiled slightly and gave her a pair of black heels; ones that he knew she would be comfortable in.

"What are you gonna wear, Auggie?"

"Probably the thing that Benji got me. Please don't look."

"I won't." She looked away, realising that he felt uncomfortable.

Feeling bored, Courtney started to hum a tune. She didn't even know August was staring at her. When she did know that he was staring at her, she looked at him to find him smiling at her. That made her blush.

She looked at her heels and finally put them on. She looked in the mirror and ran her hands through her hair. She stared at her lifeless reflection and began to think about her own life and why she hated the way she looked.

You would think that as a 21 year old, I would like the way I look. Well, you're wrong. I hate the way I look. I've been told many times that I shouldn't hate myself. But I do. I always have. Well, not always. If it wasn't for my father, I would've loved who I am. But, thanks to his sick mind, my father abused me.

One day, when I was 11, he took me to a mirror and told me to stand in front of it.

"What do you see, Courtney?" He asked, smirking.

"Me." I replied, smiling. "Why?"

"Listen to me, what do YOU fucking see?"

"Umm... a beautiful girl with a happy life."

"Well, guess what?"

"What?"

"You aren't BEAUTIFUL! You're the ugliest child I've ever seen."

And then, he slapped me.

"You don't have a happy life. You never did! You should be dead. Go kill yourself."

That made me want to cry. I couldn't cry in front of him. He left the room and locked the door. That's when I started to cry. I've never cried before. Well, I have when he wasn't there.

I hate showing how I feel. I've always hid it. But he, August, seems to understand it. I would've never thought that he went through abuse. I guess I'll stick with him since he seems to like me. Well... I hope he does.

August, who was ready for White Widow, wrapped his arms around Courtney's waist, bringing her out of her daydreaming zone.

"You ready to go?" He asked, cuddling her.

She sighed and quickly put dark red liquid lipstick on her lips. Then she was read to go. August held her hand tight and opened the door for her. Courtney smiled and walked out of the room.

"When will we be back, Auggie?"

"I don't know, Cutie."

"So Ethan hasn't told you?"

"Nope."

"I thought he would. He seems to tell you more things than me." Courtney started to raise her voice. "All I get from him are scars, bruises, wounds, anything that could hurt me. You probably don't even care!"

"Calm down." August sighed. "I've cared about you since the first day we met. I've done everything I could to help you. I kind of act like a therapist and a counsellor to you. I care about more than your sick minded father; I care more than our boss; I care more than anyone we've encountered, if that makes sense. I can tell that you're not in a good mood. You don't have to do this part of the mission if you don't want to."

"I'll have to do it." Courtney looked at him. "I'm not making myself look bad. I'm forced to do it anyway."

"But..."

"But what?"

"Do you even want to do it?"

"Not really. But it's for the mission."

"But..."
