The sounds of animals stomping on the grass and the wind heavily blowing all around Y/N usually would've woken up our traveler, but it seems like it's going to take a bit more than that to wake them up this time.

After suffering through that horrendous fall from the top of Mt. Aozang, hitting several rocks and tree branches on the way down, Y/N lay unconsciously the ground by the body of water at the foot of Huaguang Stone Forest. Y/N being the resilient traveler they are, somehow remained conscious after falling and landing in the water, and was able to safely swim onto the shore before passing out.

"U.... ugh...."

I slowly open my eyes and look around me. I freak out wondering where I am and look up to see the cliff I fell from. I never realized Mt. Aozang was this tall. Never looked over the edge since I'm scared of heights. But for a brief second I think I can see a figure peering over the edge.

Is it...

"Ow..."

I suddenly feel a jolt of pain travel up my body. How did I survive a fall from that high up ? This plot armor must be thick...

But shelter ! I need to find a place to stay for the night and try to regain some strength. Maybe I can tear off some fabric from my clothes and use that to tie a rock around my leg as a makeshift cast since, I don't think this leg is gonna work like it used to.

I try to waddle myself into a cave I found nearby. It was filled with crystals and other ores but also had a Geo Vishap in it... great. There's no other nearby caves for me to stay in, even if there was these broken legs couldn't get to them... if I had my vision I could maybe kill it and—

*bloop*

Is that my vision floating in the water ? How'd it get there ? I could've sworn I left it in the tent... maybe he...

! Now I can probably beat this monster if I play my cards right. When I was training with... uh... I-I found out that Geo Vishaps can dig underground so maybe if I make fire come out from under and around it, it won't be able to escape and I can finish it off by making fire erupt from under it. Yeah that should work !

I quickly try to test out my plan and I was able to successfully light a fire underneath it.

But maaaaaaaaybe I should've tested how well I could control my elemental power before doing this cuz now I realize I'm too weak to create any fire pillars and now I've gotten the Geo Vishaps attention...

Shit.

I try to run away but again, these legs don't work like they used to before.

And all I can manage to do is walk a few feet away from the cave until the Geo Vishap caught up with me just by doing one jump. Welp. I guess this is the end ! Honestly after falling from that high up I don't fear death anymore so wOOp dEE dOo iMma gONna DIE !

It's not like someone will just magically save me from this. I'm doomed ! And quite frankly, I'm not too worried anymore, I had my moment of 'Oh never mind~! I want... to live !' When I was falling from that cliff.

So might as well accept my death.

The Geo Vishap... is laying on my body... dead ?!

I closed my eyes preparing for death but I guess Lord Barbatos has other plans for me. Oh well, I'm not gonna waste this second chance I've been given so I quickly get to work.

I go back to the cave and make myself a cast for my leg, it's not much but it'll do. I find a long stick on the ground and decide to use that to make a spear with this kinda pointy rock I found. Now I can control my Pyro better !

First things first, kill a boar and eat it so I have some more energy. And then after that... uh... try to survive ?

Oh wait ! If I remember correctly if I walk north from this cave and go past Huaguang Stone Forest, there should be some Millelith patrolling Nantiannmen !

But there's probably like tons of monsters and what not and uGHHHH why is this world so cruel ??

No matter, I will push forward and find a way out ! No matter what ! I must explore all of Teyvat and die with no regrets ! So I can't give up here !

I know I was sooooo ready to give up like a few hours ago but people can change in a few hours alright ?

Man being alone for so long really has made me get all loopy huh.. I've been talking to myself this whole time ever since that Geo Vishap died on me.

Agh oh well, nothing a good ole 8 hours of sleep can't fix. Might as well just go to bed and think about what to do in the morning.

But first ! A sip from this river that I hope I did not pee in while I was unconscious last night...

Ahhh tasty river water. Man, I really should get to sleep, I'm kinda going crazy now hehe. Uh. Did- did that shadow just move ? Nahhhh, probably just some dude or something. Wait... some dude ?

I stand up and run to the shadow I saw move.

"Hey ! Could I get some help ? You won't believe it but I fell from the top of Mt. Aozang and survived ! Ain't that crazy ?"

As I think I was about to reach the shadow, it was replaced with a green flash. A green flash I knew all too well.

I guess even now, you still care about me huh.
