All My Dreams Come True
February 11, 1995
Dear Parents,
I have been collecting things for my new house – a big bucket for the bathroom (to store water in, because sometimes the water suddenly stops for hours at a time), a fan and big framed pictures of Rama and Swami. Lately I have been so happy and feel as if all my dreams have come true. Living in a beautiful forest in a little cottage, giving all time to remembering the Presence, seeing nice and devoted people, and receiving attention from Jnaneswari. Just being in her presence is enough – one is swept into a world of love and Light. Now – to make the experience everlasting, every second!
I am still going to the Library daily. The children are so good and sweet. It seems as if the Lord is finally Blessing me with seeing His Reality (a bit!) in all – whether kids or grownups. New people or known, I feel affection for them as if I am seeing God Himself. God is good – and He is everywhere!
May all be constantly immersed in the Light and Love, the Joy of the Lord!
Loka Samastha Sukhino Bhavantu.
Love,
Divya

Ramayana Readings
March 7, 1995
Dear Parents,
Now that Jnaneswari has discovered I know typing, she’s put me to work typing the ‘ashram news’ for the monthly journal from here. One man does the translation from the Telugu journal, then I type it up correcting small grammar and spelling mistakes. Then it is sent to the press for printing. It is only a job of two or three days, once a month.
Jnaneswari started reading the Ramayana some days ago, reading it aloud to devotees in her spare time, instead of listening to them gossip and relate their problems. When she found out I had Sathya Sai’s Rama story in Telugu, she asked to see it. After a sample reading, everyone demanded the other book be stopped and the “Sai Ramayana” be commenced! Yes, Swami does write so, so sweetly and in an attention-getting way. Needless to say, I am thrilled to hear her read Swami’s book. Truly a feast of bliss for me! Jnaneswari says this is the first time she ever read the Ramayana, previously she only heard about it.

Fragments of Glass
before the 1939-1945 War, most churches in England had stained glass windows, but despite local people's best efforts many of these windows were smashed in the bombing. What could be repaired was repaired, but in many churches all they could do was reassemble the remaining fragments randomly, with extra bits of clear glass added to eke them out to fill the windows. That is what I imagined for my collection of short stories: fragments of stained glass, bits of robe, bits of faces, all sorts of odds and ends randomly stuck together. And with quite a lot of clear fragments among the coloured ones. Just broken pieces of stories that anyone can look through.
