《A Beautiful Nightmare》Part 22

"Kushi" ASR's voice boomed, shocking every employee.
All of them waiting for the blast.
Before Aman could figure out what was happening, he saw ASR downstairs, standing next to Kushi.
Did that man fly?
How did he get there so fast? So eager for a fight?
Goodness!
Aman rushed out, hoping to extinguish any fight that would most probably break out now.
Arnav stared at her furiously as he saw her picking up the broken glass pieces.
"Are you crazy?" He blasted and Kushi flinched slightly hearing the booming voice.
"ASR. You know how clumsy she is. She bumped into me and even ruined my shoes" Pam said, remembering how angry Arnav was with Khushi for ruining Liza, the model's fur coat.
She very well knew that it was not because he was concerned about Liza. He simply wanted a reason to fire at Kushi. And now, he got it again and they surely will have something to entertain them for at least a day, Pam thought gleefully.
Arnav glared at Pam and Pam gulped
"Did I ask for your opinion, Miss Pameela?" Arnav asked, stressing her entire name fully, knowing how the woman hates being called by her real name.
"Uh sorry ASR" Pam apologised feeling embarrassed at getting rebuked in front of the other employees.
Arnav turned again to see Kushi was still holding the glass pieces in her hand.
Stupid woman!
Her fingers are so delicate. What if the glass pieces pierce through that flawless skin?
"MP" Arnav called out loudly.
Madhu Prakash, the Prakash brother who is working in AR as a peon, came rushing towards them.
"Ji Arnav bhaiyya" the man said feeling breathless
"Clean this mess" Arnav ordered
"I caused this. I will clear it" Kushi, ever the stubborn said, and bent down to pick up the remaining glass pieces.

"You crazy woman. You will get hurt" Arnav thundered and quickly held Kushi's hand before she could touch the next piece of glass
The employees stared in wonder as the great ASR bent down next to Kushi Kumari Gupta and took the glass pieces from her hand and placed it back on the tray.
"Mr Raizada, I said I can manage" Kushi said stubbornly
"Yes of course. You are a wonder woman. There is nothing you cannot do." Arnav said sarcastically and pulled her up along with him.
Aman stared without blinking as ASR kept holding Kushi's forearms.
"Mr Raizada-" Kushi began to say something, but Arnav cut her off in between
"Is it necessary to argue over everything, Kushi? There are people who are being paid to do these works" Arnav said arrogantly, making Kushi frown.
"I am also being paid to do work like this, Mr Raizada" Kushi said and shrugged off Arnav's hold from her arms.
"What do you mean by that?" Arnav asked with a frown.
"Uh ASR. She is the new temp. She just joined today morning" Aman said hurriedly, totally confused by ASR's behaviour
Was that concern he heard in ASR's voice?
How could it be?
"Is it?" Arnav asked with a smirk making Khushi glare at him.
"Seems like you are not offering enough jalebis to your devi maiyya" Arnav said, in a teasing tone.
"What do you mean by that?" Kushi asked with a confused frown
"Why else would she take my side?" Arnav asked smugly making Kushi more furious
People stared open-mouthed.
Was ASR teasing Khushi Kumari Gupta?
Did ASR go mad?
Or is it them who went mad?
Kushi realised that they have quite an audience and this laad governor is behaving so out of character.

If she lets it continue, people will make up their own stories.
She once let this man ruin her reputation. She had to run away to Delhi. If he does that again, she wouldn't have another place to go.
"Mr Raizada, Madhu ji cleared it. Shall I get back to my work now?" Kushi asked
"Come to my cabin. I have something to discuss with you" ASR said, turned around and walked away without waiting for her response.
"Laad governor" Kushi mumbled under her breath and glared after his retreating back.
"Kushi. Go" Aman nudged her, not wanting to ruin whatever good mood ASR seemed to be in.
"Kyun devi maiyya. Am I not offering enough jalebis like he said? Why are you taking his side all of a sudden? He doesn't even believe in you. I am your ardent devotee. You should always be on my side" Kushi complained, looking heavenwards.
"Kushi, go" Aman hissed and Kushi stomped her foot before walking towards the lion's den.
"What happened to ASR?" Sim exclaimed, once both ASR and Kushi were out of sight.
Aman turned to glare at Pam
"You did it intentionally right? You hired her so that you could bully her?" Aman asked furiously
"You passed the papers, Aman" Pam said
"Well, seems like your plan just backfired, Miss Pameela" Aman said, with a smirk irking Pam more
"It's Pam. P.A.M. Pam. Don't call me anything else" Pam said furiously
"You didn't seem to mind when ASR called you that" Aman said and walked away leaving a fuming Pam behind
Kushi hesitantly knocked on Arnav's cabin.
"Come in" she heard him say, and walked in
"You wanted to say something?" Kushi asked, as soon as she went in.
Arnav leaned back on his chair and simply looked at her.
She was wearing a red colored salwar suit, with ghotas attached to it. Her hair was braided.
"You should leave your hair open, Kushi." Arnav said, making Kushi stare at her in horror
"Ji?" She asked, wanting to make sure she heard right
"You have such beautiful hair. It is a crime to confine them in a braid." Arnav said and Kushi's eyes widened hearing his talks.
What the hell has gotten into him?
"You said you wanted to say something important?" Kushi asked again, not responding to his comment verbally, though a reddish hue had spread on her cheeks in reaction to it.
Arnav was satisfied seeing that blush on her face
"Couldn't stay away from me, Kushi?"
