《MY TYPE | KTH ✓》13

The whole weekend Minah was aiding to Bree's every need, trying to remind her that her life does go on, and that she's got to get up off her ass and go out into the world again.
Which was why that Monday she left the house to go to her morning lecture, against her initial urge to just stay home.
Professor Kim had apparently come back from London, and he was teaching their class again.
Everything was back to the way it was, before, well.
Before she met Taehyung.
Tears threatened to fall, but she shook her head, taking a paper from the pile being passed around for their pop quiz - which they were to complete and hand in and then leave - before passing it to the guy on her left.
She pulled up the front of the hoodie she was wearing to cover half her face, taking in the smell. The one thing that Minah allowed her to do was wear Taehyung's hoodie and the necklace he had given her.
And it still smelt like him.
She filled out the pop quiz quickly, it was relatively easy for her, before passing it to the person on her left to mark while she marked his.
When she got her paper back, she looked over at it, only one question wrong.
Reading what it was, her eyebrows furrowed.
"Hey, uhm, I think you marked this wrong, you're definitely meant to pair Adenine and Thymine together."
She turned to the person next to her, and he looked up, brushing the hair out of his eyes and lifting off the hood from his head.
Her eyes widened, and she couldn't stop blinking.
"Says who?"
She was confused, she was mad, she was happy, she was a mix of emotions but the only thing she could do was stare back at him.

Then she stood up and walked out.
"Bree, wait."
"What are you doing here?"
"I, uhm-"
"What about America?"
"Well I explained that I really didn't feel comfortable leaving one of my best students behind - after all she desperately needed my guidance. And I made it very clear that if I was so valuable to them that they should be more than happy to wait 3 years for my student to graduate," he explained and she raised an eyebrow. She had been an emotional mess this whole week, she was sick of crying.
"And that worked?"
"Ahhh, no, they redacted the offer on the spot and called me ungrateful," he shrugged.
"Wait... so you gave up America for me?"
"Uhm, no, your grades are fine, the student struggling here is Nakyung."
Her tears started falling as she slapped his arm, "What is wrong with you! Why would you give up such an amazing opportunity fo-"
"Bree, I love you, okay? I don't think I'll ever find a love like this anywhere I go..."
"But what about what you said about types? About finding the right type for you so you're not stuck doing the wrong thing or being the wrong person."
"I stand by it. I've found my type, and it's you."
She pursed her lips together, eyes twitching an urge to start sobbing arising.
"Because we have chemistry," he added, pointing at her with finger guns.
Slapping his arm again, she spoke, "You're so dumb, Tae, so stupid."
--
"Oh God, you're finally back I thought you were actually going to stay in America you were gone for so long," was the first thing Jimin said when the two of them walked into his apartment.
"Wait? You knew he wasn't going to take the offer? Then why didn't you say anything!" Bree erupted, making Taehyung and Jimin both laugh.

"Bree," he deadpanned, "Taehyung would never leave me and move to another country, he just can't."
"Hmmm, yeah," Taehyung nodded, taking a water bottle from the fridge, "Can't stand being away from my Jiminie."
"Speaking of being away, I gotta get to practice," Jimin said, checking the time, "See you two later?"
"Bye man."
"Wait," Bree started when Jimin had left, "You went all the way to America and then came back?"
"Uh, yeah, what did you think?"
She slapped his arm again.
"Ow!"
"You're," another slap, "so stupid! You wasted so much money!"
"A worthy cause," he winked at her.
"Tae-"
"Bree, seriously, stop, okay? It was my choice, I could have very easily stayed there, but I didn't. It was my decision and I don't want you thinking it's your fault."
"I just-"
The truth was, Bree had never had a person in her life make a big choice like that for her.
She didn't feel worthy enough.
Shaking her head, she had to agree to disagree. She would never feel worthy enough.
"You're really all I want, baby," he smiled, snaking his arms around her waist and hugging her tight, "All I ever need."
"Hmph, I thought you only ever needed Jimin."
He chuckled into her hair, "Sometimes I have to lie to him to make him happy, you know?"
"I love you, Kim Taehyung."
"I love you more, Bree Anderson."
They both laughed at them calling each other with their full names, leaning back, Taehyung pecked her on the lips, "And I always will."
His lips left butterfly kissed on her cheek, down her jaw, and around her neck before he pulled back and lifted her up, taking her to his bedroom.
Despite the moment being filled with desire, Bree couldn't help but smile at him lovingly.
So she thought, fuck it. Maybe I was born to be loved by this man. Maybe it was okay to let him make these big decisions for me. Because, maybe I am worthy.
--
"So now that you're staying here," Bree asked, they were in a cafe getting their breakfast before going to classed, "What will you be doing?"
"What do you mean? I'm finishing my honours year this year, and doing my PhD next year, the same thing as before I got the offer."
"Wait, you're graduating this year, oh wow," she grinned, "Wow."
"That's right, your boyfriend is going to be a graduate soon, aren't you lucky?"
"Yeah," her tone was serious, making him look up from his coffee sharply at her. "I'm so lucky."
He smiled softly, "Me too."
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
And the pair spent the rest of their lives believing that their stars had been aligned so that they were born to love each other, and be loved by each other.
Taehyung graduated that year, as a top student in their honours class and Bree couldn't be more proud. Her boyfriend was so nerdy but was so humble about it, she couldn't believe he was even real.
Bree was going along well, graduated her degree the next year, also with grades to compete with Taehyung's.
Minah and Hoseok went on their first date, and the unexpected became reality when they totally hit it off. Their personalities balanced each other's out, and they became the cutest couple Bree had ever seen.
Jimin had won the state championships for his dancing together with Hoseok and they made their way through university also with flying colours.
Bree was so thankful, she didn't know how much she needed all the chaos and liveliness her new friends brought her, and now that she knew, she never wanted to go back.
