We walked in the living room and my brother looked at us suspiciously and we sat on the couch, far apart. I don't want Dylan to know me and his best friend are together, just yet.

"So are yall like a thing?" he said as I face palmed myself.

"Man, that's your sister.. which I just found out.. If me and her got together-"

"I'd be alright with it, just don't hurt my little sister man." Dylan said looking at Jacob, "Or else..." 

Jacob raised an eyebrow and got up and went off somewhere and then Dylan came and sat beside me. I cut the tv on and played a movie and then Dylan turned and looked at me.

"Yall are together, aint yall?" he said as my eyes got big.

"How'd you-"

"Taylor, you really think I'm stupid. Yall just didn't want me to know because you were scared that I was gonna say something. Well as long as he don't hurt you like your stupid ex did, then we'll be ight." he said.

"Who hurt you?" Jacob said as he came back in.

Oh no.

"Taylor has an ex and he-"

"Broke my heart over and over!" I said hushing Dylan.

"No, he-"

"Broke up with me for another girl, remember?" I said looking at Dylan with pleading eyes.

"Taylor, I ain't hiding it from your boyfriend. He'll find out eventually, right?" he said making a point.

I really took in when he called Jacob my boyfriend. We may have only been together for a couple of days, but I'm falling for Jacob and I'm falling hard and fast.

"Well..." Jacob said looking at me.

"Okay, when I was 16, I dated a guy named Michael. He was amazing but then things started going downhill when he started drinking. He'd come home fro work and beat me if I didn't have him cooked or the house cleaned. I really thought I loved him and I moved in with him.." I said remembering everything.

"The first time he did it, he came home and seen there was nothing cooked. I was on the couch watching a movie and he came and snatched me off the couch and threw me in the kitchen and demanded me to cook for him.

After I cooked, I didn't eat because I was very upset with what he had done. I never had experience with that type of stuff so I didn't know what to do in that situation. Anyways, he jerked me up by the arm and dragged me to the bedroom and threw me on the bed. He tied me up to the bed and raped me.

I had to go to the hospital at one point in time because it got so bad. He threatened to beat me if I didn't tell them exactly what he said to tell them. I had to tell them I fell down a flight of stair but even they knew that it was a lie. I think everyone knew because of the way he looked at me as I spoke.

Anyways, the next day, I had bruises everywhere and I came here for a little while and Dylan came over and seen them. He knew something was wrong and I told him that I fell a couple of times but of course, he knew better. I went back to what I called home and he was already there.

He asked me where I had been and I told him but I didn't tell him that Dylan knew something was up. So he let it go and started drinking. He started being sweet and I flinched every time he touched me because I didn't know what he was capable of. 

He screamed at me and once again, he beat and raped me. He only raped me because he knew I wasn't going to give him any because I was wanting to wait til marriage before I ever had sex. So I kicked him and ran out and went to the neighbors house and told them. They called the police and they came and arrested. I remember the last words he said to me and the look of hatred in his eyes." I said wiping my tears.

"What did he say?" Jacob said as he comforted me, the whole time I told the story.

"When I get out, I'm gonna hunt you down and kill you, you slut." I said as my voice cracked at every word.

I didn't want to tell Jacob because we just got together and I figured if he knew I got raped then he wouldn't want anything to do with me. 

"Taylor, I'm so sorry. I understand completely why you didn't want to tell me. You're scared I'm gonna do the same thing..right?" he said as Dylan sat forward.

"Well, yeah and because I thought you'd never look at me the same way." I said as I cried in his chest.

Dylan came over and I moved over to him and soaked his shirt so he just took his shirt off and gave it to me and I wiped my face and calmed down.

"How long has he been in there?" Jacob said.

"A year, I think he gets out in 2 more years." I said, "I'm not quite for sure."

"Well he ain't gonna get to you, I promise. You have me and Dylan. There is nothing to be afraid of. I'm gonna be here to protect you and so will Dylan." Jacob said as Dylan agreed.

"Besides, he's scared of me." Dylan said smirking.

"Well I'm gonna go to bed. Goodnight and I love you both." I said as I hugged Dylan and then Jacob. 

The boys said goodnight and I went to my room and closed the door. I crawled in bed and covered up and curled up into a ball. I started crying because I kept having memories of the story I had just told my boyfriend, and babysitter.

I wonder how my parents are going to react to him being my boyfriend. I can't even imagine what they'd say. Maybe they'll approve, I hope.

I dozed off and then I felt the right side of my bed dip in and I turned over and seen Jacob smiling at me and he wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead.
