Trollex had been hoping for a chance to catch his breath after such a long journey as well as have the chance to really get to know what these hybrid trolls were all about. By now every troll had experienced each other's music but to be born into two types of music was a completely new thing. Trollex fully understood why the hybrids wouldn't want to be involved with any of their problems since in the last year they had been invaded by the rock trolls, had their strings stolen, had their strings destroyed, found harmony only to lose it again with the blank string, and now were once again trying to save their music. It was a mess, and the hybrids had lived peacefully through all of it.
Trollex rolled over on his bed to try and go back to sleep when he heard a knock on the door. Trollex sat up and found what he can only assume was a hybrid pop and techno troll standing in his doorway. "Time to get up, the sun has risen. Are all mono trolls this lazy?" She asked
"Not usually, erm?"
"Lotus." She replied, "I gotta say I'm intrigued to see a full techno troll. Everyone hear in a mix of something."
Trollex hovered into the air and follow Lotus outside who was gesturing impatiently for him to hurry. She lead him to where the rest of his travel group was waiting. Branch looked as impatient as Lotus was, crossing his arms. "About time," he said after Lotus had left them to join up with some other trolls collecting water. "We need to discuss our next move."

"Next move? I though the plan was to have the hybrids harmonize the blank string and all the music trapped inside." Trollzart said while flapping his wings, hovering on the spot.
"Well I doubt that is going to happen. You saw how hostile they were towards us. What makes you think they will actually help us?" Branch replied.
Trollex frowns, Branch had a valid point but what other options did they have. And as if Branch had read his mind he said, "We need to convince them that helping us is their best option. I know Poppy, and when she gets an idea into her head nothing will stop her."
"Witnessed that firsthand." Trollzart muttered under his breath which earned a growl from Branch. Trollex betted that Branch was still hurting over the whole thing with Poppy teaming up with Barb. They did after all have feelings for each other. Before Trollex could repond to that, the yellow troll, also the leader, trotted over to them. "Ah, I see you still remain in our village."
Branch crossed his arms tightly, "problem with that?"
"Yes, most certainly yes." The leader said and crossed her arms as well, although she seemed to cross them tighter than Branch which Trollex didn't think was possible.
Branch opened his mouth to speak but Trollex didn't trust him to maintain a calm conversation and stepped in before a word could escape his mouth. "Look, we understand why you don't want to help us, but if you don't help us now then Barb and Poppy will come after your village next if they're not already on their way. Please help us harmonize the blank string and then I swear to you that we will never bother you or your village again." Trollex explained, praying internally that his words were enough to convince the hybrid leader.

The hybrid leader sized him up for what seemed like hours then finally let out a sigh and leaned over to look at Branch behind Trollex. "You sure are lucky you have sensible friends. Follow me." She said with a slight smirk and led the group through the village. They eagerly followed her and Trollex even shot Branch a warning glance to keep his mouth shut while they were lead to a tower like structure in the middle of the village. A spiraling staircase wrapped around the outside which they used to climb to the top. At the top they were greeted by another harp on a pedestal. Laced through the center was a single string, multicolored with every music genre. A hybrid string.
"Whoa," Branch said while also breaking his vow of silence.
The hybrid leader paid him no mind, simply walked over and gently removed the harp, giving the string a flick with her finger. The melody released was a perfect blend of all the music genres. She smiled at the familiar sound. "This string is a harmony of all music. A representation of who we are. It will be able to neutralize your blank string and reharmonize the music. However I cannot allow it to be taken from the village borders."
Before anyone could speak a scream erupted from below, followed by another and another. The group raced over to the edge to identify the crisis. Below them all the hybrids were racing for cover and trying to find safety while a pack of all too familiar piranha shaped ships stormed into the village.

From rural Austria, pre-World War I astronomer Gustav Silber has located the singular, finite "origin point" from whence all that exists once emerged. Emil Weiss, the apprentice of Gustav Silber himself, doubts his mentor's theory, believing it might be Silber's attempt to proclaim himself a god.

On a lush planet known as Bhar, Verun is now the leading nation in the development of the rivaled schools of Magic and Science. Having brought forth an era of peace and prosperity for themselves through the development of Magitech, The High council was eager to spread their knowledge and beliefs to the furthest reaches of the continent, with the goal of ending senseless conflicts and prioritizing advancements in Magitech and improving the quality of life. This ambition, however, is not without opposition. Most followers side with one school or another, believing it is superior in nature. This conflict dates back to the very beginning of civilization itself, where it is believed by both sides that their gods descended from the heavens, bestowing upon them the knowledge that would bring the world into a new age. And though some took great interest in their differences, others would seek to convert each other through any means necessary. That being the case, The High council, leaders of Verun, had made the necessary preparations to handle threats and attempt diplomacy between the remaining opposers. Talented volunteers were hand chosen to be among the military, tasked with protecting the nation from both internal and external threats. And although non-biological creations have improved quality of life, they are not yet capable of replacing the military. The necessary research and development for such a thing was thought to be decades away, until Councilman Eranor encountered an anomaly in his facility…
