Nathan's POV:
The fact that I bumped into Ariana yesterday with the boys ran through my mind. How did they know her? Was Justin right? That Ariana could be the girl that we all fell for?. Oh god. I mean, how is that possible? For all 3 of us, how did we meet the same girl? I know I just met her, but I think I'm in love... She seems different, she's not like the other girls I've met, I mean she's actually nice, she's very caring and thoughtful, and so sweet! Yeah, I'm in love...
Justin's POV:
I can't believe I ran into Ariana yesterday, and how in the world did Jai and Nath know her? I thought I was the only one, when she said "Hi!" with that beautiful smile of her's, I didn't expect the boys to respond, usually they'll just wander off when someone greeted me that they don't know of. Ariana's beautiful, she's such a down to earth person, so nice and thoughtful. All I know is that, I'm in love with her...
Jai's POV:
Bumping into Ariana was probably the most awkward thing ever. First of all, I had no idea Justin and Nathan knew her, what a surprised. I was so confused, I mean how in the world did they know her, and how was a possible that we all met the same girl and fell for her. How, just how?. Ariana greeted us with that cute little smile of her's, and that little laugh she does. She's adorable. I'm in love with her...
Ariana's POV:
I saw Justin, Nathan and Jai while walking out of the grocery store, my heart was beating so fast, like I don't even know how to describe the experience. It was so awkward. I mean they all just stood there with confused looks on their faces, they all just kept staring at me. We all didn't really speak, I mean we said our hi's and hello's but other then that, nothing. Nathan seemed shy, Justin was acting all cute, and well Jai, he seemed shocked. Which was fairly weird.

Since this kept replaying in my head, I decided to meet with them. I had nothing to do today so why not? I took out my phone and remembered I never got Jai's number. Oh well, I could probably ask one of the boys for it. since they all know eachother. I dialed Justin's number and called him.
CONVERSATION:
Ariana: Hello?
Justin: Hi.
Ariana: Hi, so um would you like to meet up at Starbucks with me @5pm?
Justin: Sure, i'd love too.
Ariana: Okay. By the way would you mind asking Jai if he wants to tag along? I kind of forgot to get his number.
Justin: Uh, sure.
Ariana: Thanks. See you later.
Justin: See you.
END OF CONVERSATION.
Justin's POV:
So, Ariana just asked me if I would like to meet her at Starbucks. I was kind of happy until she asked me to invite Jai. I know he's my best friend and all but, why does she want him to come? I'm so perfect and she's perfect, we'd make beautiful babies. Just sayin.
I did what Ariana asked me to do. I quickly punched in Jai's number on my iPhone.
CONVERSATION:
Justin: Hey dude.
Jai: Hey.
Justin: So, are you doing anything today?
Jai: No why, do you want to "hangout" again?
Justin: Kind of. Ariana asked me to ask you, if you'd like to meet us at Starbucks @5pm.
Jai: Sure. But, do you have to come?
Justin: YES, BITCH.
Jai: UGH FINE. BYE
Justin: BYE.
END OF CONVERSATION.
Ariana's POV:
Now it's time to call Nathan. Ugh, too much work. Yes, I know I'm lazy, but that's what makes me, me! So deal with it. This time I searched for his contact and pressed it.
CONVERSATION:
Ariana: Hi Nathan.
Nathan: Hi Ariana.
Ariana: So, I was wondering if you'd like to meet up with me, Jai and Justin at Starbucks.

Nathan: Sure, what time?
Ariana: @5pm.
Nathan: Okay, see you there.
Ariana: See you, Nath.
END OF CONVERSATION.
I got of the phone with Nathan and went straight into my closet to get changed. I wore a cute floral dress. I checked the time it was only 4pm. So, I decided to sit on the coach and watch cartoons. I was watching Adventure Time. I set an alarm on my phone, just in case, so I'll be able to keep track of time, I don't want to be late, plus Adventure Time is my favourite cartoon, I practically get sucked into it.
The alarm went off. It was now 4:45pm. I quickly got up, turned off the T.V and walked out the door. I finally arrived at Starbucks with 2 minutes to spare. I walked in to see Justin. He was the first one here. I went up to him and took a seat.
END OF POV.
Jai's POV:
While I was on my way to Starbucks to meet Ariana. I bumped into Nathan.
"Hey Nath." I said.
"Hey Jai." He said.
"So, where you of to?" I said.
"To meet you, Justin and Ariana at Starbucks." He said with a laugh.
"Oh, well let's walk there together." I said with a smile.
"Okay." He said.
We walked into Starbucks to see that Justin and Ariana had already arrived. They were talking and laughing. What were they talking about I wondered. Me, jealous? Haha, NO. I mean, maybe a little. Okay, A LOT. We walked up to them sat down and started talking.
END OF POV.
Nathan's POV:
Me and Jai walked into Starbucks. I saw Ariana laughing at what Justin was telling her. We sat down and talked for a while. I learned that Justin was telling Ariana stories about us. I was kind of mad because some of the stories were quite embarrassing, oh well.
We were all kind of the thirsty so I bought us drinks, on me. We sat back down and started talking about how we met Ariana. I guess she was the girl we all fell for. Well, she fell for us, literally. Jai was the first to meet her. Ariana fell on him and got ice cream on his shirt. Justin met her second. They met at the mall while he bought a new hat. And I met her last at Ikea. It was just like today but this time, all the boys were here.
I looked at the clock to see it was already 8pm. Wow time flies, when you're having fun. We quickly finished our drinks and it was time for us to leave.
"It's already 8pm? I better go now." Ariana said.
"Me too." Jai said.
"Let's meet up again tomorrow?" Justin said.
"Sure." We said in unison.
"Bye." I said.
"Bye." They said in union.

Shadows in the Dawn Mist
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] - Winner November 2020 When a young woman is lured back to her homeland for the opportunity of a life time, she must face old fears. But never would she think that facing up to her past would change everything. Is History written by the victors, or by someone or something else...? *** I started writing this a few years ago and eventually fell out of love with it. I never finished it and my newer books are being written in different writing style, and genre with a more planned process. I decided to revisit it for the writathon and found that it wasn't as hopeless as I'd come to think. Hopefully, I've improved as a writer since them so the consistency may vary. Its been good to revisit and analyse my writing which I feel used to have some clunky and obvious dialogue which I'm trying to fix. This will always be my first novel and I hope, with a little exposure, I may come to like it again. Thanks for reading!

Daily life of a cultivation judge
Tired of those cultivators who think it is righteous to eliminate a sect or clan root and stem all in the name of revenge and avoiding future troubles, fights over treasures that end up destroying cities with no consequence whatsoever to the culprit, these psychos whose aim for the peak always involves a trail of carnage and bloodshed in its wake for some reason. Then look no further than the daily life of a cultivation judge. Yang Qing, is a young genius cultivator from a low-tier family whose only safe choice to get resources and hopefully lead an easy life led him to the courts of the Cultivation Order Society. Author’s disclaimer: Hey there this is my first novel so any criticism will be well taken though beware I’m a million-year-old monster who has cultivated the way of the sword to the peak. The daily life of a cultivation judge will be true to its name so it will be heavily on the slice of life lane with a bit of action here and there.Meaning we will see the life of Yang Qing when he clocks in and out. Hopefully, it will be one of those novels you read if you need to relax or are in a slacker mood like one of those otakus who listen to the noises of cicadas in the summer famously used in most animes. And it is in the slacker spirit that chapter release will be on Wednesday,Thursday and Friday. Sank yuuu Cover art by Conny Schneider on Unsplash
