《Sarafina De Luca》Chapter 38

We continued to walk and reached a door and without wasting more time we pulled it open but the moment we did. We found ourselves standing in front of armed men with several guns aimed at us,
Well shit.

I analyzed each face that had a gun pointed towards us,
"Damnit!" I heard Xavier mutter under his breath,
I sighed quietly as I already expected being in a situation like this.
Suddenly, heavy footsteps were heard from a far but it got louder and louder each second until a figure appeared as the armed men moved to the side to provide space,
I held a blank and emotionless look as I saw Samael stand in the middle with a cold calculating glare that he always had on,
I noticed a faint bruise at the side of his jaw and I would have smiled proudly if we weren't in this situation. I saw the mysterious figure tense as he stood at the right side from me and I noticed he took a small step backwards.
"Did you have a nice nap?" I asked, loudly.
I saw his jaw clench but I saw a smirk form on his face and I slightly raised a brow,
"I see, you still haven't learned your lesson," He replied "Maybe I should give you a short summary about the previous lesson, what do you think?" He asked and I glared at him.
I scoffed, quietly but before I could say anything anything, the sound of gun reached my ears and I watched with shocked eyes as one by one each men fell to the ground with a bullet,
I didn't waste a second and lifted the gun in my hand and aimed it at the men.
Soon, the whole place turned to a whole war zone and for a millisecond my eyes connected with Xavier's and he gave me a slight nod as he had his gun aimed in the air.
I found myself covering behind a huge wooden box and soon noticed there were more of them all around this place, it looked similar to Antonio's warehouse.

Screams and loud gunshots were heard, I took a second to check the number of bullets I had left and grit my teeth when I found a single bullet.
Suddenly, my left hand shot upwards and I got hold of a dagger that was aimed for my right eye as I looked up.
I found a figure dressed all in black as it approached me and I gave him a smirk as I spin the dagger in my hand.
I stood up and immediately saw a fist thrown at me but I dodged as it took me with surprise,
Why so impatience?
Another fist was thrown towards me and I dodged that as well as I brought the dagger and stabbed him on his right thigh before bringing it up and stabbing in on his left shoulder in one swift motion and I watched as he fell backwards holding his shoulder.
I brought the gun that I held firmly with my right hand and aimed it towards him before shooting him on the chest with an emotional look.
I threw the gun away as I spin the dagger with my left hand before shifting sides. I watched as more figures found their way to my direction.
I saw as the first one made his way to me but before he could make a move, I punched his throat then quickly stabbed him in the chest and without hesitation I pushed him towards another figure with full force,
One of them pointed a gun on me as his fingers pulled the trigger but before he could pull it, I grabbed his wrist and pointed the gun upwards as it fired then I brought my legs and kicked him where the sun doesn't shine,
He fell to the floor then with the dagger I stabbed his neck.
I closed my eyes as I felt the familiar red liquid splattered to my face and in the next second my eyes snapped open as I turned around bringing my left feet up, kicking the gun out of the figure's hand before harshly kicking him in the stomach with my right feet,

He fell behind and after a second or more the dagger pierced through his heart.
I stood there, motionless as I was met with nothing but silence.
"Sarafina!" I heard a familiar voice yell and I turned around and I wasn't surprised when I saw Antonio, Gavino and Leonard.
I quickly made my way towards them,
"Are you okay?" Leonard asked and I nodded my head in reply,
"Samael. Where is he?" I asked, looking at them.
"Looking for me?" I suddenly heard his voice and I saw my brothers quickly point their guns towards him but his eyes were on me,
I found myself staring at him with the coldest look and he stared back at me with a slight smirk,
"It wouldn't have ended like this, if you had just given me what I asked for," He said, looking around at the dead bodies.
"And what exactly did you want?" Another voice cut through the deadly silence and I watched as he turned around and even my eyes moved towards where the voice came from and my eyes slightly widened,
I squinted my eyes as my mouth slightly opened,
"Jason," I whispered quietly,
He stood there with an arrow pointed at his father and his eyes held a deadly look, I saw his eyes move towards me and I stopped breathing as he held eye contact but that was the thing, his eyes looked dead and lifeless.
"All I wanted was my son back," Samael said and Jason's eyes slid back to him and he smirked,
"Which son?" Jason asked and Samael took a step forward but before he could lift his other feet up I saw a red dot appear on top of his forehead,
My eyes moved up and I found Lorenzo with a sniper gun and I heard Samael chuckle,
"So, you want to kill me? Then get on it already!" Samael said and I saw as Jason tightened his hold on the bow,
"I'm not going to kill you, Samael." Jason stated,
"I'm going to give you something worse than death," I watched as an object was aimed towards Samael's neck and I realized it was sedative as Xavier stood there holding a small gun.
He fell to the ground as he sat on his knees and I saw Jason walk towards Samael and the moment he reached him, he threw a punch which made Samael fall down, unconscious.
Finally his eyes met mine and he took a step towards me and I felt tears form in the corner of my eyes as I made my way towards him and without saying a word, I wrapped my arms around his neck as I felt a tear trickle down my cheeks.
"God, I missed you!" I whispered and I felt him stroke my hair,
"I missed you, too." He whispered,
"I looked everywhere for you," I said,
"I know," He said back,
"I couldn't find you, I tried so hard but I couldn't! I thought you were-" I stopped mid-sentence as another tear slipped out of my eyes.
"I know," He says and I unwrapped my arms around him before I lifted my hand up and slapped him,
His face flew to the side and I wiped my tear away,
"Ow," He whispers and I roll my eyes,
"You deserve it." I said,
My eyes moved around before it landed on a familiar figure and I made eye contact with familiar gray-blue eyes,
He gave me a nod and I gave him a small smile in return and after a moment of silence I turned around to face my brothers,
"I'm craving Ice-cream a lot. Can we go home and buy some on the way?" I asked.
Hey guys, I'm back with the second last chapter! I know we have come a long way and this book has finally come to an end!

Kind’s Kiss
MAGIC DOESN'T KILL, NOT BY ITSELF. IT NEEDS A LITTLE HELP. Jessica DeRidder is a substitute teacher and mage in hiding, her daughter Ellen a killer on the run. Their next job lands the mother-daughter team in Hellhole, a small town in the middle of nowhere. All they need to do is their job. For Mom to identify the problem, and for Ellen to... fix it. Easy. Simple. But not this time. The pair find themselves caught in the struggle between the Man-in-White and the Wicked Witch of the West. A mysterious image and the theft of a deadly flower lead the pair to a score of dead prisoners, magical drug dealers, and red-eyed assassins falling from the sky. And somehow it all seems to be related to Ellen's murky past. All Ellen wants to do is do her homework, eat ice cream, and protect her newfound friends (not necessarily in that order). She'll go all-in, guns blazing. But when the smoke clears there may be nothing left but a stranger's past and a lonely future. --- 'Kind's Kiss' is a light, modern-day fantasy, easy on the magic, heavy on the snark. Though complete it is still a work in progress. One reviewer described it as 'Buffy meets Sabrina, as done by Tarantino'. I'm still not sure if I should consider that a compliment or hire a hitman :-)

The Systems of the Multiverse - A Guide for the Multiversal Traveler
The Systems of the Multiverse have their issues. I, an observer from outside the multiverse have made it into my mission to tell you, the multiversal traveler about those issues and dangers. This is a relatively low effort NaNoWriMo and Writhathon project. I want to test myself if I can manage 55k words in a month, likely updating every single day until the end. This story is told in the form of an in universe book. Well, I say story... While this definetly won't be great, I still hope it will be enjoyable. I do my best to avoid grammar mistakes and spelling issues, but won't promise anything. Corrections are welcome, this is also an excercise to improve my writing from a technical standpoint. Not from a worldbuilding and character standpoint however, for that you need time. Oh, the keyboards (and computers) that the observer destroys are not real and only exists in story to have an excuse to easily end this story at the end of NaNoWriMo. I also personally like reading LitRPG stories, so this isn't meant to hate them. It might come over that way, but many of those issues are simply fun to think about: what would really happen if the world is so, seen through a lease of negativity :-) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
