"Right, y/n, we need to lie you on your back" Nikki said helping me lie on the floor. "Tom, you kneel behind y/n so her head can rest on your knees". Oh shit, this was real. The pain was unbearable. "Where's Harrison?" I sobbed. "I'm here darling, I'm here" he cried grabbing my hand. I gripped it really tight. Tom was stroking my hair while holding my other hand. "Right sweetie, on your next contraction, your going to push okay?" Nikki said to me. She was going to deliver my baby girl. I nodded.
"FUCK!" I screamed as a contraction came. I gripped tightly onto Harrison's and Tom's hands and pushed. "That's it! Keep going! I can see her head!" Nikki said smiling. "I can't do this" I whispered. "Yes you can. Just think, any minute now, your daughter will be in your arms" Harrison cried while talking to me. I squeezed their hands again when the next contraction came. "That's it y/n. Her head is out! Now, I need you to pant for me". Suddenly Mum came rushing in. "Oh my god!" She cried. I started panting. "Well done! You're nearly there. Keep go... oh my god!" Nikki gasped. She was here. She had arrived. "Y/n!" Tom said kissing my head. My little girl was here and crying. "Y/n, congratulations. She's adorable!" Nikki sobbed while swaddling her. She passed her to me. I was crying uncontrollably. "You did it sis. You did it" Harrison cried while kissing my forehead. I did it.
A few minutes later, the paramedics turned up. They took me to hospital to check me and my beautiful daughter over. Thankfully, everything was okay. Harrison came with me in the ambulance and everyone followed on behind.
"She's gorgeous y/n" Harrison said gazing into his niece's eyes as he held her. "Just like your mummy" He cooed. We had to stay in for a couple nights so the nurses could help me. I didn't want anyone else but Harrison and Tom with me, but Tom thought it would be best just Harrison and I. He stayed with me for a couple hours then went. "I love you both loads darling" he said kissing my forehead. "We love you too" I smiled. No one else had held her or seen her properly yet. I just wanted to get to bond with her first before everyone came charging in. "Knock knock". "Come in" I said moving up the bed slightly. It was Ruth. "I heard you were here" she said with a smile. "So come on, can I have a hug?" She asked me. "Of course!" I said. Harrison got up and handed her to Ruth. "Oh y/n. She's beautiful" she said gazing at her. "Have you got a name?" She asked me. "I do. But I'm not telling anyone yet until I get home" I responded. "Fair enough. Oh darling don't cry. Shall I hand you to mummy?" Ruth cooed over her. She handed her to me and she immediately stopped crying. "I'm on call so I better go. But congratulations again" Ruth said before waving and leaving. She began to cry again. "I think she needs feeding" I whispered looking at her. "I'll leave you to it. I'll go and call Mum and everyone and tell them how you are" he said while smiling at me. "Thank you Haz. I love you" I smiled back. "I love you too". He left and it was just me and my daughter. I kissed her forehead and whispered, "I love you Elodie Rose Osterfield"
