《How To: Survive Teenagehood》23/ It's Not Worth Your Tears

I don't know if this is just me, but I seem to obsess over things that I do wrong in life. I beat myself up about things that I've done, and I'm well aware that I don't need to be so hard on myself. There are always times in life where we're always too hard on ourselves, and we upset ourselves by chiding ourselves.
I've made a few big blunders in the past few days to do with my GCSEs (including missing out a whole section of my geography GCSE), and I've sobbed and weeped about them. 'What if I had...' runs through my mind all the time, and I have to physically stop these thoughts from engulfing me.
And that's what we have to do. We have to push our mistakes in the past, and only learn from them, as cliche as that sounds. In a few months that mistake you made yesterday won't mean anything, and you'll barely remember making it. You can't change the past, nothing can, and you have to look ahead. Why focus on past mistakes when you can stop yourself making future mistakes?
If you flunked that test, said something weird by accident, even did something as trivial as play your music out loud when you didn't mean to, don't overthink it. Acknowledge that you didn't want to do that thing, and move on. You will only feel terrible if you focus on the past, trust me. A few days ago I didn't think I could even sit in the exam hall again after making the biggest academic mistake of my life, one that could potentially affect a big part of my life, and I walked out my physics exam today already thinking of tomorrow.
You can't cringe about your past mistakes forever. It's easy to, but don't sink into that pit.
So rule twenty three of surviving Teenagehood: put it in perspective, people have probably made way bigger mistakes than you.

Reinventing the Struggle
The (sort of) original working title for this was "Reincarnated into a neo-feudal world of mecha knights, I will reinvent the panzerkampfwagen and mess up the social political order!" or something along those lines. And honestly that's a good enough synopsis given the nature of isekai titles. This story is unapologetic trash but at least it's the least cringe stuff I have written so far, so here it goes.

I post at least once a week. I cannot promise you a story you enjoy reading, but I can promise you a story I enjoy writing. Thank you. ------------------------------------------ The sword is greater than a simple weapon; an answer to life's questions. An extension of thine master's hand, guided by wrist. Care it not whether guilty or innocent blood shed, for be it a mere edge, a weapon. For blade that forgets or refuses to cut be shameful, meaningless, disgraceful. Nay, be it considered a tool at all? What dost the weapon do when the steel hath no guide, that the master hath mingled far? Doth it Stay? Perhaps quiver at possibility, the loss of reason for existence? Or does it go forth into the unknown, guided by merely the wind and the edge? A wandering sword, a phantom blade- A lone Samurai. ------------------------ Credit to Nicklas Gustaffson for the image. Re:Eclipse
Felix, an elite soldier, died in combat. He was one of the millions of people murdered every day by an unstoppable foe, who pushed mankind on the brink of extinction. His consciousness was stored in a secret bunker, but, by mistake, the transfer into a new body took five hundred years more than expected. Sadly, the only one available was of a short and weak teenager who died many years before. Many things changed in the meantime: magic, dragons, and other creatures that were once thought to be of fantasy are now common, and a new system rules on everyone and everything, allowing a person to enhance his body past human limits. He'll start again from scratch, trying to master it, but his time isn't infinite: mankind's worst enemy is yet to be defeated, and it's getting ready to finish the job once and for all.
