《MY Sweet Interlude》Part 32 - Sunrise

There was silence in the house as Aliya tiptoed towards the bathroom to prepare herself for her sunrise watch. She woke up thirty minutes in advance than she wanted to and after all the failed effort she did in going back to sleep, she gave up. She can hear the boys snoring as they slumbered. She didn't know what time they had gone to bed because she had waken up a couple of times and heard their voices at the other side of the living room as all six of them drank together. The women all had decided to retire early since it's been a long day after all.

She was disturbed by the boys sometime during her sleep. She opened her eyes to find them looking down at her with amusement. They were already tipsy and were making fun of the fact that she's sleeping so quietly now.

"What the heck?" She told them as she pulled the blanket over her head.

"We were worried that you might not be breathing anymore because you're so quiet." Taehyung, who was sitting next to her, said as he pulled the blanket off her. "Seems like the surgery worked."

"Why didn't your surgery work?" Hoseok asked Namjoon who pushed the other guy playfully.

"I had surgery in my sinus." He said.

"Maybe you should get your tonsils removed too." Jimin joked and that started an unending bickering.

Taehyung laughed at Aliya's frustrated look for having to get wakened up. "Hey, I know you're doing your sunrise watching tomorrow I'll come with you like before."

"You don't have to Tae, you have Jia to think about now." She replied.

"She knows it's our tradition." He said lying down next to her pushing her back so that he'd have space. She yelps when she starts to get squished.

"Go to your room and sleep there, we can't fit here."

"Ha, maybe you should start losing weight then." He told her.

"Are you telling me I'm fat?" She squeaked.

He turned to her with a smile. "I didn't say that, you did."

"I can smell the alcohol in your breath. Be sure to brush your teeth before you go to bed with your wife." She chided.

"She loves me just the way I am."

"Good for both of you."

"Why are you so grouchy?"

"Gee, I wonder why? Wait, I was in the middle of my sleep when I got awakened by 6 drunk guys that's why." Aliya said.

"Drunk? Who's drunk?" Jungkook asked hearing their conversation.

"Not me." Hoseok said which was followed by another and another until all of them had said it.

"Oh god, please, either drink some more so you'd all pass out and leave me alone or go to sleep." Aliya said.

Taehyung laughs as he stood up kissing her at her forehead. "We just miss bugging you like this. Go back to sleep and I'll see you tomorrow."

Aliya can't help but smile as she recalls it. She is all set and still had thirty minutes left before sunrise. The hill where they watch it is a good five to eight minute walk so it's best to leave early. The house is still quiet, no sign of Taehyung yet, it is still early so it's ok.

Fifteen minutes passed and still no sign of Taehyung. Did he forget? She wondered. I'll wait five more minutes, she told herself maybe he's just late.

Seven minutes later, still no sign of her best friend. She decided to leave. She knows her way there anyway, she can go there by herself. She stood up and grabbed the extra blanket she readied last night because the early morning air is still quite chilly. She can go by herself, she's done this a lot of times and she just had to accept the fact that times have changed and she can't expect her best friend to do things they used to do specially when he is already married.

She hurriedly walked towards the door, putting her sneakers on before making her way out. She throws the blanket around her as her walk turns into a hurried stride. The sky is still grey but the pathway is already visible so she didn't need extra light. She takes in a deep breath loving the same fresh air which brought her back to her childhood walking at the same path with her dad. He'd hold her hand as they walked, then ends up carrying her over at his shoulders because she'd complain how tired she is as she walks up the steep slope. Walking through it now, she realized it's not that bad at all. Of course, she was still a child back then so everything seems bigger and harder for her to do.

Doing this makes her relieve her dad's memories. Even if it's been years, she'll never forget their happy times together. She wants to preserve those memories. He once told her that no other boy can love her more than he does and she can't help but smile over this thought. Nothing is reliable at all, even her dad who loves her left her though it's not his fault.

"Ya, why are you walking so fast what's the rush?" A voice spoke from behind her that made her jump back up just as she started to sit on the grass.

Aliya gasped as she watched the figure of the person who just spoke come into full view as he walks towards her. She chuckles as she watched him in his black sweats, plain white shirt and a pair of black slides. He looks half asleep as he rubs his eyes which is being covered by his hair. He folds his arms before him rubbing them to warm himself up as he stops in front of her.

"What are you doing here?" She asks.

"Following you just in case you fall somewhere or something. I first thought you were sleep walking but after seeing how fast you were going, I know you're awake. Since I am the only one up, I thought I'd be responsible in following you."

"I didn't mean what are you doing here at this spot, I mean what are you doing here in Korea. I thought you're staying in Japan until tomorrow." Aliya couldn't believe her eyes as Yoongi stood before her.

"The design had been approved and there's nothing much to do other than golfing and site seeing. I've been around Japan a lot of times so I made a pass on that and I suck at golf so I skipped that too. That's why I'm here." He said his voice still sounding raspy from sleep. "So why are you here this early again?"

"Awww, you didn't have to get up for my sake. Sit down and I'll tell you." She tells him as she pulls his arm so he'd sit next to her. She then takes the blanket from her shoulders then opens it so that it'll cover them both. She points at the horizon across from where they were. The sky is turning golden yellow in that area. "I always watch the first sunrise whenever I'd visit this place. It's a tradition I used to do with my dad. When he passed away, Taehyung always comes with me but uh, well, things are different now so I came alone."

She exhales as she watched in amazement as the sun slowly shows itself. She takes her phone out of her pocket and started to snap pictures of it. She is a bit disappointed over the fact that Taehyung didn't show up even if he promised he would. She just has to accept the fact that it's not the same anymore. Just like accepting the fact that her love for him should just be for a bestfriend and nothing more. She smiles in spite of everything as ths sun comes in full view. Sunrise is a symbol of a new beginning, of hope, her dad told her that.

"Isn't it beautiful?" She turns to Yoongi who she finds resting his forehead over his arms while his knees were up to support his head. He must've dozed back to sleep.

He looks up at her. "What? Oh yeah, yeah it is."

Aliya hesitated before she reached out and pulls his head towards her shoulders. If he pulls back, it'll be embarrassing so she hopes he won't.

"What?" He asks her when he feels her hands over his head.

"You can lean on to me. I am kind of responsible why you are here and disturbed you in your sleep. Feel free to sleep while I watch. I won't stay long I promise and then you can go back to sleep in a comfortable bed." She tells him.

He smirks though his eyes were closed. "Not very comfortable and not to mention no privacy at all because everyone's walking around you." He did move towards her though letting her guide him towards her shoulder.

Aliya smiles to herself as she felt him put more of his guard down towards her. She looks back towards the sun as she recalls every moment with her dad then with Taehyung doing the exact same thing admiring the natural wonder that unfolds before their eyes. She's grateful she has company right now because it makes her feel not left alone, even if he is sleeping.

She reached out to gently shake his shoulders to wake him. "Yoongi, time for us to go back." She whispers.

His eyes were still closed but she could see a naughty smile on his lips as a hand went underneath her sweater cupping her breast through her bra. "Uhmm, I think I'd like to stay some more."

"Stop that, someone might actually see us." She whispers.

"I'll hide then." He says as he slides inside the blanket laying his head on her lap before unhooking her bra to release her breasts. "Bend closer to me." He tells her which she found herself doing before she felt his mouth close on one nipple sucking on it while his tongue teased around it making her moan. "You like this don't you?"

Aliya moans again in response before biting her lower lip trying not to make any more sound, her eyes scanning around the area just in case someone comes. They're all drunk and probably asleep but one can never know. Maybe just a little more, she told herself as she let him move to her other breast.

"Yoongi." She managed to say which he responds to with a soft hum. "We have to stop. Someone might come."

"Will that someone be you or me?" He asks with a chuckle as his head comes out of the blanket. He is referring to a different kind of come of course. He hooks her bra back. "Ok let's go, I'll just try to sleep this off." He said as he stood up before helping her up. Aliya has to admit she needed that help because her knees were still shaking after what had happened underneath the blanket.
