《Encore, Alexandria!》Return to Sender

And so, that Wednesday, Marie went back to work at Daedalus Incorporated, answering a staggering amount of calls from angry customers of the much more successful company. The desk had turned from Marie’s music studio to Jones’ writing studio. They accompanied Marie’s work with the rhythmic clacking of the keys, getting considerably fast at a remarkable rate. It was only a few days into this that Jones ran out of things to transcribe, having to come up with brand new material for their book. They described how it felt so much longer when they were writing the entire thing by hand and thanked Marie for introducing something that made the act of their art very much faster.
“Have you never had a typewriter, or any other kind of keyboard?” Marie asked after this statement regarding speed.
“I had a little laptop computer once.” Jones explained. “My best friend gave it to me when we were both in high school as a birthday present.”
“What happened to it?”
“One day, I was heading home from school when a bomb hit the Washington Monument. The impact caused the ground to shake and I fell into the pool in front of it. The whole area is concrete now, probably including that laptop.”
“I’m so sorry. Did it have anything on it?”
“Nothing important, y’know.” Jones lied, and then got the sudden notion that they should tell the truth. “Just the first one.” Jones said.
“The first what?” Marie asked.
“The first book I tried to write. I only got about 50 pages into it.” Jones looked up at Marie’s expectant eyes. “I bet you’re wondering what that one was about.” They said with a smile. Marie nodded. “My first book was about a vampire. I was really into monsters back then. This vampire, the main character of my book, really doesn’t want to be a vampire, because he’s a pacifist. He decides to live his life in quiet solitude, feasting on the wild boar and deer within the forests surrounding his small town when someone comes to his door.”

“Who?” Marie asked.
“The postman, of course!” Jones said, gesturing. “The only person that someone like that is guaranteed to see every day! I thought I was so clever. That’s about when I stopped writing the thing, when my laptop fell into the pool at the Washington Monument.”
“What was it called?”
“‘Return to Sender’ or something trite like that.”
“I’d very much like to read it.” Marie said, getting up to get a glass of water. “Maybe when you’re done with ‘The Unbeatable Foe’, you should rewrite and finish ‘Return to Sender’.” This caused the rhythmic clacking of Jones’ keyboard to stop as they considered something for a brief moment.
“Why do you care so much?” Jones asked. “About my writing, I mean. I’ve never been particularly great at writing. If you’ve noticed, I can hardly string a sentence together when I’m talking with people, let alone when I’m writing it down. So, I’m just asking, why? Why did you bring this goddamned heavy thing all the way from your father’s home just so that I would have something to write on?”
“I saw it and I thought of you.” Marie said. “I can’t really explain it other than that. I saw it and the first thing I thought of was the fact that you were writing that superhero book and what the moral of it was. I’ve read what you’ve had to write before and I think that it’s beautiful, but it’s that moral that really kept me going when I was at my father’s house.”
“Thank you.” Jones said. “I really appreciate that.”

Harmless Sweetie (Rewritten)
*UPDATES EVERY MONDAY AND FRIDAY, SOMETIMES MORE IF I DON'T HAVE SCHOOLWORK. **This is tagged as comedy but I have a really stupid and peculiar sense of humor so yeah. "That's an eldritch horror." "No it's not, it's a frog." "Why does it have ten eyes and eight rows of teeth, not just that but why does it just perpetually scream with the voices of the ones whose mind it has eaten." "I'm just not that good at anatomy." *** Clailip Diancia, the tiny boy who dances along the threads of fate woven by a wicked witch. Not knowing of the plans of the witch that once scorched the lands, and unknowing of the abyss that beckons him forth. This harmless sweetie watches the stories of those around him. Ever unconscious of the turning loom of fate, always oblivious of the stories, legends, and tapestries of heroes that revolve around him as he goes, as he dances, and as he prances, leaving myths and rumours wherever he might set foot in. But as he is unaware of those whose fates have intertwined with his, he is also blind to the soul-piercing stares of the Abyss, ever calling to him.

It was then did John use a dark magic that did he got them out of that situation. But in exchange for the princess's safety, John Sarvod was exiled from A'vetheas for using 'demon magic'. What will he do after the life he knew was uprooted and taken away from him? Will the 'demon magic' that caused his exile from the Elven Tribe bring him into a slow descent into madness? Book 2 description: Having found a life for himself outside of A'vetheas, a family, enrolled to a good school, and a potential romantic partner, John Sarvod continues on with his life the best he could, carrying himself forward, until... He messes it all up again. This time, however, it isn't because of his magic. It was by his own demerit. What is the cause of despair? Find out in Consignor Book 2. Old description (Without spoiler) John Sarvod, user of the most powerful healing spell [Heal], the rare ability to heal and recover all injuries, is the only human that lives in the Elven Tribe. Though he was gifted with [Heal], he could not cast any magic other than his one and only [Heal]. Aside from his current training to become a royal scribe, he is known to all elves as the ‘Healer of A’vetheas’ and had gained a certain amount of respect from them due to how much he works. But life for him in the Elven Tribe, A’vetheas wasn't never always like this. Because he was human, and that the Elves have isolated themselves from the outside world, his presence initially was not welcomed by the elves that thinks highly of him today. It was all thanks to the Elven Queen who brought him in, and the Elven Princess, Raina Valindra Eridi, that he could reach this day. But things changed when the Raina that he so adored used the teleportation device for a small date with him, where they met with danger that the [Heal] that he relied all this time could not save him from… In his desperate attempts to save Raina, John ended up committing a taboo of the elves. As for his punishment when he returned to A’vetheas? That was just the beginning of him, continuing the path that he had inevitably taken prior to the life he had before he lived in A’vetheas. This is a story of a not too average person end up becoming something that he could have never imagined. A monster? A demon? A god? Only time will tell. It is just a matter of time that John Sarvod would embrace his true self. Content Warning because I want to have flexibility, and maybe it gets overwhelming at times. I have a backlog already, this story won't be dropped. Edited: romance tag to action tag, story has more or less of both, but yeah. There's slice of life tagged in because my story progresses not too quickly (by my opinion) I like to take things slow, I suppose. :3
