《Invasion, Part One, Chapter One》Epilogue

The palace was quiet, the staff reflecting the sudden change in the mood of the Dark Lord now that the fleet had departed to the Galaxy called K113. It was the 23rd Dolmas and they knew that the attack in the galaxy occupied by The Kingdom had taken place. The Dark Lord had gone very quiet, almost morose and the Ladies reflected His mood.
In the office of the Steward, Garda reminded his staff to be cautious and respectful when dealing with both.
“Just be respectful and act normal around them all. Give them some space and deal with them as normal.” With a nod from Garda, the staff went about their day.
A fraction later, Special Assistant Anis Le Brackel stepped back in his door. “We have a request for an audience with Him, it’s from the Findus Embassy.”
“Findus? What do they want, did they say?”
“It’s a courtesy call by one of their princes, Prince Viacumb. He is connected to the royal family although very unlikely to succeed to the throne, however he is next in line after the current Kings family.” Anis explained. “I asked if it was an official visit, they said no, the Prince was here on business.”
“Tell them probably yes, but we will have to confirm it.” Garda sat back. “Findus is a power in their galaxy, indeed the whole sixth cluster. I wouldn’t want to upset them.” As Anis turned to leave, Garda continued. “I will contact the First Councillor and inform him, he will want to know. Then get back, we will have to tell Him.”
*********
“So you agree, I should meet with this Prince?” The Dark Lord arched an eyebrow.
“Yes sire, we do.” The Head Steward replied, with more confidence than he felt.

“And the First Councillor agrees?”
“He does, my Lord.”
The Dark Lord fell silent for a fraction. “Very well, set a time and advise me. I think that later this morning will be best.” A thoughtful expression crossed His face and He stood. “Sabra Boon is from Findus, is she not? Have her attend on me at the same time.” The Dark Lord spoke with a slight smile. His brown haired companion gave him a sharp look. “Last, Head Steward, contact both the Admiral of the Legion and the First Councillor, I wish to see them both together early this afternoon.”
“Yes my Lord.” Both Anis and Garda bowed and left. As they did so, they heard one of the Ladies say, “Well, are you going to tell her?”
A soft laugh in reply was all they heard.
