March 15th, 2005

On a UH-80 'Hawk' helicopter that's upside down after getting shot down.

Sonata got up and heard a firefight going on down below so she pushed the deceased body of the helicopter's crew chief off of her.

She leaned out a little and fell out and she landed on her hands.

Sonata saw Private Mackenzie Rose's gun jam and a VC soldier charge at her doing a bayonet charge only for Sergeant Mitchell Waterson only to knock the guy down like a freight train and filled him with lead.

Three P-113's flew overhead and they chased the VC away but they soon came to a trail.

Sonata being Sonata went right while the squad went left. Sonata had to walk down and hide in some grass where she drew her combat knife where quickly took down a VC soldier, threw her combat knife at another, and quickly fired her assault rifle at the other few VC soldiers.

Sonata then kept walking but she saw another three P-113s (UH-1) fly over. But she could hear gunfire coming from a village above her but she kept on going.

In the village.

Fireteam Harmony was getting shot at by Vietcong soldiers but they were no match for the marine squad not adding Sgt Mitchell radioed for a helicopter gunship due to the final hut was fortified with a machine gun.

The helicopter gunship destroyed it but the squad saw Sonata walking around in the valley down below and saw that she opened a bamboo hatch and enter an underground thing. They also went through the destroyed hut and found a concrete bunker.

Sergeant Waterson opened the steel door and they entered it.

In the tunnel.

Sonata climbed down but a piece of the wooden ladder broke and she fell down landing on her back. She got up and drew her Phoenix Pistol where she brought out the current magazine and put it right back in to see it had ammo.

Sonata walked around for a bit until she heard something and heard a rock being kicked and she was whacked in the back of the head with something knocking her out.

***

A couple of hours later.

Sonata reawaken.

Where am I? Sonata thought, Where the fuck am I? I'm in a bamboo cage. I'm in a fucking bamboo cage! Seriously where the fuck am I! The only thing I see are two bamboo towers, several bamboo huts, and several bamboo cages with POW's in them! I also see some APCs! But where the fuck am I! I also see that this place is surrounded by trees!

A mile away at a ruined temple.

A UH-80 Hawk came and a woman with auburn hair color, short hair just minimum at the military requirement, and in an ERDL camo uniform. Of course, a few other soldiers with her are in tigerstripe uniforms.

"Mitchell," said the auburn hair woman, "How can the IA help?"

Sgt Mitchell replied, "Star. Welcome to the jungle. Well, we got a POW Camp down the road and wondering if the IA has anything useful on how we can get in undetected?"

Star replied, "Honestly if I knew it'll be above my paygrade. I'm sorry. I know you and my daughter have a special connection and all that. But I don't know anything. The last recon report I know of from reports I read that last recon of this area was back in the Spring of 1971. Besides that, I don't know. Don't shoot the messenger,"

"It's fine," said Sergeant Mitchell, "Well we can find a way to raid it,"

Sergeant Mitchell and the rest of his squad went to go and assault the POW Camp. But IA Agent Star wanted to help and they provided air support, where the helicopter's tri barrel minigun helped out as the 7.62mm high-explosive and incendiary rounds, did the trick.

The three teams which form one squad did what their fireteams are called with the Base of Fire Team just suppressing the VC, the Assault Team just assaulting the VC and flanking them, and the Machine Gun/Anti-Armor team helping the Base of Fire Team to keep the VC suppressed.

While they did assault the camp they also freed the Prisoners of War. Some have been there since the late 1960s. Sonata was rescued from the bamboo cage she was in by Sergeant Mitchell and he handed her, his Grandfather's M1918A2 B.A.R and she joined in on the fighting.

The other Prisoners of War also joined in on the fighting using captured weapons and fought back.

It wasn't long until the POW Camp was cleared but the UH-80 'Hawk' only can carry eleven seated soldiers not adding the two crew chiefs and pilot and co-pilot.

It had to take several trips though back to Charlie Base.

"Hey Sergeant Waterson?" asked Sonata, "Why did you join the military?"

Sgt Mitchell replied, "It's a family tradition for the males to join the military. Been in my family tradition for centuries and I mean it's been in my family since 100 AD in a country called Germany. Well, Germania but you know what I mean."

"Yeah I know what you mean," said Sgt Sonata, "How old are you?"

Sgt Mitchell replied, "Truthfully or lying?"

"Truthfully," said Sonata

Sgt Mitchell replied sheepishly, "I'm actually fif...fifteen, Heck we're all underage here and lied about our age to join in the war. I know that if they find out our real age we're in big trouble. But after all, just being in school was very boring as Hell!"

The UH-80 came and the squad including Sonata got onboard and they were the final ones to get on and go back.

Back at Charlie Base.

Marine Engineers were busy rebuilding the damage from the previous battle.

"So you're actually fifteen?" asked Sonata

Sgt Mitchell replied, "Yup. Born on January 17th, 1990 in South Bronx, New York City and I have dual citizenship of the United States and Little Bird. I'm fifteen. Only if my mom was alive then she would've had a heart attack,"

"What happened to your mom?" asked Sonata

Sergeant Mitchell looked down in sadness and replied sadly, "She was killed. While walking through the woods. It was on my sixth birthday. It was me, her, and my stepdad. and my baby sister Twilight. We were ambushed by wolves and I was told by my mom to take my sister and make a run for it... that was the last time I ever saw them. Me and my sister have to live with our aunt and uncle who treat my sister as their daughter but me I was always beaten, starved, and all so I quickly learned how to defend for myself. Of me living with them it was more or less child abuse 24/7. But my commanding officer in the Thirty-Ninth Airborne Regiment she more or less took me in and my girlfriend's mother did the same. Of course, my CO and my girlfriend's sister are sisters well half-sisters with my CO being a child by rape and they don't know their fathers."

Sgt Mitchell took a sip from his canteen.

"Star's father. He died while he and his wife crossed the Berlin wall back in late '71 escaping East Berlin but they had enough money and resources to emigrate from East Germany to NYC." Sgt Mitchell continued, "And my OC she never knew her father because someone raped their mother and she was conceived from it. Also, my girlfriend. She's the reason I'm out here. I want to protect her from the evil in this world..."

Sonata replied, "She's pregnant?"

"Yeah. Well Star she kept filling her only child's head to have a bunch of babies," said Sgt Mitchell, "And well several months ago well you'd know you're an adult. Heck back home my friends made a betting pool on who'll be my girlfriend either Private Fleur-Dis-Lee who's 16, Private Mackenzie Rose who's also fifteen or Cadence. Let's say it's not the first to. But in my family, they're the 'Sink or swim mentor' type. To them to train or learn it's better to face that danger! Heck my uncle Bobby said 'Mitchell. You have it in the heart to be a great firefighter one day' of course I did bottle up my fears and did run into a burning apartment building and saved four people before the FDCL got there."

"FDCL?" asked Sonata

Sgt Mitchell replied, "Fire Department Town of Clearlake. Alright time to tell me about you. How was your childhood?"

"Could've been better," said Sonata, "When I was four to twelve my mother passed me around with other men in the Almighty Believer religion to have sex with. Heck, my mother even had the priest even try to have sex with me but five-year-old me just punched him in the gut very hard! When I became eleven years old my mother tried to have me marry the same priest try and wanted me to marry his third son I more or less told them to fuck off,"

Sonata then had to spit,

"In the Almighty Believers religious cult," Sonata thought, "When a man and a woman gets married. The woman is more or less a fucking slave of just cooking, cleaning, popping out babies, and doing as their husband says and can't say anything. I do want to have children but I'm not going to be a fucking baby factory! Of course, when I became twelve my mom kicked me out of the house for coming out as bisexual and I had to go live with my sister. Of course when I became fifteen one of the priest's son who is an adult came with a trio of singing people and he wants to marry me! I drove him away each time and the first time I just slammed the door and got the sawed-off double-barrel shotgun and that scared him and the trio off!"

Sergeant Mitchell gave a chuckle

"I hate people like that," Said Sgt Mitchell, "But when my mom and later my Aunt Orange dragged me to church. Well, the Priestess she's cute but her niece wanted to be with me but I said no but we're friends. But my Aunt Orange did force me to go to Baptist camp. But at said camp. The Camp's Priest was sexually abusing her and forced me and me to stay quiet until she killed herself because of what was going on. But I hate people like that! Sorry for interrupting. Please continue."

Sonata replied, "My mother even after disowning me and kicking me out and setting me up on random dates with men who are adults while I was a pre-teen and teenager! Not adding the men she set me up on dates with just more or less wanted and wants a housewife slave who'll do as they say no questions asked! I'm not going to be someone's slave!"

Sonata then rubbed her eyes.

"My mother was and is a total bitch!" said Sonata, "She wanted me to be like her and just be a mindless drone but my dad wasn't a member of that cult so she did what she wanted to!"

Sgt Mitchell replied, "Your mother should be locked up in a mental institution!"

"Yeah she does but she's in prison which is better than her being a free woman," said Sonata

Sergeant Sonata Jackson and Sergeant Mitchell Waterson got to know each other better and became fast friends and she even gave him a kiss on the forehead as good luck and wished him well when she had to go back to Little Bird.

"We'll see each other again Sergeant Waterson," said Sonata, "Take care and be careful!"
