Zain got goosebumps when he saw the cracked egg. A terrifying aura was coming from it. From the crack, a baby dragon could be seen inside, trying to break the egg shell.

After breaking the shell, it struggled due to broken pieces sticking to its body because of the fluids. It started eating the egg shell. One by one the huge chunks of eggshell disappeared into his mouth.

Finally after licking off the fluids of its body. It had black scales all over its body. It had red eyes, dagger-like claws, sharp teeth, and sharp blade-like scales on its back and tail. It was above two meters tall on all four limbs. It looked quite alarming. Zain came to know that it was a 'he' considering the two 'balls' and the 'bat' down below.

He looked straight into Zain's eyes. Zain was on his guard. He didn't know what he would do if the baby dragon were to pounce on him. He would be torn apart before even making a sound.

The dragon started moving towards him. He reached him and started rubbing his big head on Zain's chest. After Zain realised that the dragon was not hostile towards him but rather loving, he finally calmed down. But another event occurred.

'Thaaaak'

Someone broke through his room's door. It was Zeidan. His body was covered in a destruction aura. It was clear that he sensed the dragon's presence. He first looked for Zain to make sure he was alright. But the dragon jumped between him and Zain. It was as if the dragon was trying to protect Zain from Zeidan rather than being another way.

"Stop Father!!"

Zeidan had veins popping out on his forehead. It was clear that he was really angry.

"Where the hell do you find this small ass dragon?"

Yes, he said 'small ass'. It was also true. When someone thought about a dragon, it was at least a hundred times bigger than them if not a thousand. But this dragon in front was clearly a baby.

"Dad, calm down."

"CALM!!! That lizard is at the same level as me. It's a legend. It could easily flatten out this palace with hundreds of people in it included. How the fu*k do you expect me to calm down?"

Zain was shocked by this revelation. He knew how terrifying a legendary being can be. Forget about this palace even the surrounding city won't survive a single attack from a legend. But suddenly, he realised something as he looked at Dragon's back with a smile.

He walked up to the Dragon and patted him on his shoulder. As he did that the dragon turned into a docile animal. He curled around Zain, rubbing his head on Zain's body. It was a magnificent sight. It was as if the dragon was acting like a child.

Zeidan didn't expect to see this scene. He calmed down a bit but still had his guard up in case the dragon tried anything. He walked up to Dragon. The dragon was still hostile towards him.

"So, where did you get him from?" Zeidan asked as he was still observing the dragon.

"From the egg, my mother left for me."

After making sure the man was not hostile towards him and Zain, the dragon left Zain's side and curled up to sleep in a corner. Zeidan felt a little sadness hearing mother from Zain.

"Dad!"

"Ahh... Yes, your mother. She... she would always have crazy things with her. Haha... she never misses from surprising me, even when she is not here."

Zain could feel sorrow from Zeidan's words.

After talking some more about all the stuff Zain went through. About talking to his mother and the technique he got and the dragon. Finally, Zain asked a question.

"Dad, can you tell me more about my mother?"

"Yes..."

Zeidan told him about how he met her during an accident and a lot of things.

"So, you don't know where she is?"

"Yes, I know that her plane is much stronger than ours. And I think she would have broken through a Nova by now. I don't know exactly but she always said that she is in a tricky situation."

"She never liked to talk about her family, except her mother. She never gave me the coordinates of her plane. She said that you're are the one who could find her."

Zain was a little sad after hearing about his mother. He really wished she would be here with him.

"And yes, about that dragon. Take care of him. If he is an Abyssal dragon, he could easily take down a Nova. But to reach that stage, he would need a lot of energy resources. And as you know that they only feed on destructive and chaotic energy which are difficult to find."

"They are also very aggressive. Also, there hasn't been a single case where an Abyssal dragon was tamed. So, good luck with that. And now that you have got a training technique, you can start training."

Zeidan said that and looked at the dragon snoring in the corner.

"Doesn't it...."

They saw an unexpected sight. The black scales on the dragon were turning small. Dragon's whole body started shrinking. Its claws and teeth all were turning small. Finally, it turned into a four-year-old boy.

He had long black hair and an almond skin tone. His face had beautiful features. He slowly opened his eyes. His red eyes looked around curiously. He got up naked and looked at Zain. He ran into his arms and hugged him tightly.

He looked upwards into Zain's eyes with puppy eyes. A loud growl came from his stomach. Zain couldn't help but laugh.

"So, you're hungry. I will call you... Draig. Let's go find you something to eat."

Zeidan didn't want to intervene anymore. He knew that dragon wouldn't do anything at least for now. But still, he warned Zain to be careful. Zain also knew how terrifying a being on legend level could be, that's why he was trying to calm Draig.

"I will have someone send food for him."

Zeidan said before leaving the room.

"Make sure it's a lot. After all, he is a dragon."

Zain managed to remind him of the fact.
