I don´t trust medicine. My sister´s child was lost during her pregnancy. Doctor said that his medicine wasn´t responsible for it. I don´t trust those words even a little. Only thing I trust is herbs. Before I was married, I was doing herb gathering work to the guild. I gained trust of the people. I was even married to save and good household. He was my first infatuation. Live coundn´t have been any better to that point.
Our lives first truckle was now. My husband was hurt by sprain to the leg. He is going to be just fine, but that doesn´t relieve any pain. I would be happy to find something which could forget the pain even a moment.
I´m doing my herb collecting work as I used to. I actually am enjoying it. It is a lots of fun, but my husband isn´t happy about me working for our household. Woman should work in house and man outside of it. He should know that I worked as adventurer few years. Just for examble half of the adventurers die in their first year in field. Having over 5 years of experience makes adventurer veteran. Ten years experience tells about great skill and perseverance. 15 years means a legend. 20 years, I think that I don´t even need to explain.
I went to my usual area. Since I haven´t gone in many years, there should be a lot of herbs around. Bad thing is just time to get there. Three days walk. People might wonder why so far. Well that is simple. Everything nearby has been taken by others. From here you could take as many as you can carry. Many things has changed. There is cabin. It wasn´t there last time I was here. None of the herbs are taken. As adventure no as a human I should ask permission to take herbs. My home village is closest place here for that reason I should manage to make some deal. Pity but what can you do. It isn´t like I would murder or steal for so little reason.

When I entered I saw hallway way bigger than it should have been by looking from outside. Someone great is living here. I haven´t seen anything like this ever before.
"How may I help you?" (Voice)
I saw statue or gargoyle in front of me. Since it is opened conversation. Or it simply saw my mace. Old habit as adventurer doesn´t die easily. I knew it would be useless to bring a mace but it is sheap and easy to carry. At least it is way better weapon to uses as adventurer compared to popular choice sword.
"I´m glad for your hospitality. I was wondering. Could I take herbs outside of this building as my own and leave?" (Retired female veteran adventurer)
"You are welcome to take anything you want from outside but don´t take anything from inside with you. You are welcome to read anything you want though." (Voice)
"Not interested. Good bye." (Retired female veteran adventurer)
"Wait a moment. There are books about healthcare." (Voice)
"Not interested." (Retired female veteran adventurer)
"There are maps about this area." (Voice)
"Books about cooking, hunting, weaponry, combat techniques." (Voice)
"Not interested." (Retired female veteran adventurer)
"There are book even about botany." (Voice)
"What is that?" (Retired female veteran adventurer)
"It is study of plants which includes herbs and how they could be used. You seem to like to hear more." (Voice)
I didn´t need to ask. He simply told basics and advised me to biology area. There I found book about plants and how they could be used as medicine. Book told me how most likely my sister was over doced willow bark. This most likely caused renal failure to baby. Even more could have caused renal failure to my sister too. I could uses this as supliment to my husband´s wound. By using mountain ash tree´s berries as cure against renal failure could lessen negative effect. It seems like doctor didn´t know how his medicine might cause negative effects to his patients.

The day they became Mortal
Paladins and Vampires have always been sworn enemies. While the Paladins were blessed with the power of Apollo, made to heal and to wield the power of light itself, the vampires were immortal beings with heightened senses, strength and speed. For centuries the two lived in general peace, while the paladins built their kingdom Appollis, the vampires resided in the sanguine lands of Sareth. All changed however when an unknown paladin poisoned the special water supply of the vampires with Blackrye, a plant that to the vampire's horror removed their right to eternal life. No longer protected from illness or the relentlessness of time the vampires were forced to indulge in more blood. Soon enough a war broke out between the two kingdoms, a war that would cost the life of King Barron of Appollis and the sanity of Queen Diana of Sareth. Their heirs were too young to ascend the throne, forcing the two kingdoms to hastily form a truce until both princes were old enough to rule their lands. Five years after the blood war Arrin of Appollis and Ophyr of Sareth rule their respective kingdoms, despite having been kings for a few years and heavily disliking each other due to their past, they decided to keep the truce in place. What happens however when Arrin decides to kidnap the vampire king after he unfortunately stumbled upon Appollonian terrain?
