《Fire Magician.》Lone Survivor#Chapter IV

After hearing the report from Marcus, the temporary scout leader. Henry couldn't help but ask him to repeat the same story he told him before, just for confirmation.
"Werewolves! Each one at least 2 meters high and with a bulky build. Sharp claws, enough to shreds Goblins in a mere swipe from their powerful arms. They were massacring everyone in sight! be it Human or Goblin! Even there was a little bearded guy they didn't hesitate in killing!"
"Dwarf!" Someone helpfully replied from the back.
First Goblins, then Werewolves, what then, Vampires? Actually Dwarfs, but you get the point.
For the third time, he was glad he didn't do anything against Henry. After all, if he had decided to kill Henry in the spot with a surprise Fireball, not only would he probably fail, and if he had somehow succeeded, he would still suffer the consequences with a punishment decided by the rest of the two combined classes. Not only that but he would also have to, later on, deal with those Werewolves and Goblins, all alone. If the students didn't decide to kill him in the spot that is. The not so silent conversation led to a bigger frustration and hopelessness from the overall student group. Not only was it Goblins, most students played videogames, so fighting Goblins didn't seem that big of a deal. Don't get it wrong, it was still an unexpected and drastic situation no was, except for the most paranoid, expect. But now Werewolves were on the scene. Big ferocious beast that probably could easily shred you to strips with a mere swipe from their powerful claws. An agility and power impossible to reach by a normal Human and let's take into account their fearsome regeneration some fictions made them posses. The least willed ones started crying out of despair, while the strongest willed ones could only try to comfort them, useless, but the intention was there. Cesar had none of it, only focused on his own thoughts. Trying to come up with a plan, something that could save him if shit went south. And realizing he simply knew nothing. From his own, and real experience, he knew that the Goblins are weak. Nothing else. Are the Werewolves as powerful as their fictional part make them out to be? Do they have regeneration? Super strength? ¿Super speed? ¿A powerful nose? Are they intelligent? He only hoped that no, if those over-developed wolves are really intelligent then there's close to no hope for them, Human, which their main strength is their intelligence. ¿Do the Werewolves also have a status? That's what most concerned him, after all, if they do have a status panel, then they could also have special and unique abilities buffing them, which meant they could also throw fireballs, heal themselves, have advanced communication systems. Unpredictable. This also meant forming a plan against those Overdeveloped-Wolves would be harder than initially thought. Not only the Werewolves but what about the Dwarfs. If the whole scout team wasn't hallucinating..- Wait, ¿Did someone release a powerful hallucinogen drug in the Gym? Huh... Well... He'll discover that later, for now he'll think about the current situation. As said, if the Dwarf that the scout team previously spotted was for real, then not only Werewolves could be out there, but also Dwarfs, Elves, Kobolds, Fairies, etc... Basically there could be countless other fantasy species rounding the same school. Not only that, but those Fairy-tale intelligent humanoids could be also uncivilized, with dark customs or vile desired, such as adoring an evil god that required a thousand of students lives. Or worst. Furries.

The situation was getting desperate as more and more people among the students started letting out their newfound frustrations and fright.
Once again he frowned at the sight, disdaining them for being so weak-willed.
He remembers a she-student who cried after getting desperate because she didn't study for the exam, the teacher feeling pity for her and letting her copy from a student sheet, someone who also felt pity for her.
Oh how much he hates her, even after revealing her nudes and getting her to juvenile prison due to drug possession he couldn't help but feel an immense fury at her.
But oh well, its something from the past he already dealt with.
Cesar sighed and refocused his attention on the students, watching them, studying them, silently, picking his future pawns. First of all, he wanted Vanessa due to her unique and useful ability. Next, Carlos, a brute big guy from Mexico, not the first time he has collaborated with him.
Not only would Carlos be useful due to his great combat ability but he would also be a great motivator to make other people join, having a big, brute dude next to him is clearly a great motivator.
He turned his attention from those two, looking for other more disposable pawns, choosing them based on basic logic. Basically choosing those that were equipped with bloodied weapons, some having bloodied hockey poles while others having rusty short swords ¿Where did they pick those short swords? You may ask.
Simple, from the dead Goblins.
There were also those that were completely untouched without a scratch on them, something which could mean two things. One, they had an incredible ability or stats that made them easily defeat those Goblins without even receiving a scratch. Two, they hid and looked for cover, avoiding the previous raid from those little critters.
Mentally noting some of them, he finally decided to walk over Carlos, he would be his first choice because he's sure that Carlos would accept his proposition.
And once again, having the brute next to him would greatly motivate others in joining him.
"Enough!"
He got startled after a loud booming voice presented itself throughout the Gym. Scanning the source presented Henry standing next to the metal door, Oscar at his side and another student he didn't recognize beneath him, a black-haired student.

Studying more thoroughly the black-haired student, he couldn't help but think.
Wh-at this...-
It wasn't the fact that his clothes were completely untouched by neither blood nor scratches. No, that was too simple and many students were alike that particular student.
But what really stood out was his presence. A monstrous essence that only made him want to kneel beneath that monstrosity.
And what's that essence? That presence?
It felt too familiar, very familiar. Has he somehow achieved a ¿Strenght measuring? What's that strength even based on. Is it based on ¿Body strength? ¿From Mental-¡Mana!"
As soon as he realized that a notification popped up.
Mana Sense (Learnt)
Dismissing that message, if it's true that he's sensing the mana from that guy, then, his INT and WIS must be insane! Maybe that guy lacks a bit in WIS, after all, his mana is excelling out from his body, but still...
That guy's a Monster.
But once again, his focus was shifted by the booming voice coming from Henry, once again his voice resonating throughout the Gym.
"Dear classmates! I know the situation looks bleak" he said with a strong tone "But we must not falter!"
A long speech was held on by the obvious leader material man. While the man was talking he couldn't help but recognize that Henry is a charismatic teen.
Obviously it's not the first time he has noticed, in presentations and such, he has always taken note of Henry speech. It wasn't a rigid and boring tone as most students used, it was constantly changing depending on his words, his hand always moving, always with a clear, and loud voice, ensuring everyone could hear him correctly.
Finally, he ended with
"I can't force you to fight with me, I'm clear on that. But those that want to get stronger! Those that want to survive in this new and weird world! Come! Fight with me and let's clear it all! Let's return as heroes!"
He finished with a loud and single shout, as if in a war. Something which earning him weird looks and some phew chuckles.
The speech was a little very much exaggerated, but it certainly served it's purpose as it lifted the mood of the whole student group reunited in the Gym. No one was animated enough to follow his shout, but most, if not all, decided to move with Henry and fight along with him.
He was no different, even if it meant fighting alongside someone he hated, it was certainly one of the best ways to stay alive.
Not only that, but wasn't there a saying such as "Keep your friends close, and your enemies even closer"?
If so, he couldn't help but agree with that saying.
