At the moment he take the kittens he can feel the twins staring at him with an evil smile on their faces before they can start making fun of him he explain :

“Grandpa take me to a soul partners shop and these little kittens are my new companion now.”

The two girls were surprise they look at each other before one them start to speak :

“We are jealous how dare you have a soul partner when we don’t have one.”

Gold was surprised :

“Uncle didn’t take you to the shop ?”

The girls nod. He was really surprised but after taking the time to think it probably one of the “test” of uncle sighing before he look at the two kittens a bit sorry for them to put them back in the bag just after taking them out.

He get out of the sofa before he turn toward the twins :

“Follow me it’s not like you will not have ask for it anyway.”

Their smiles grew even wider and as he start walking they each grab one his arms before looking at him with an innocent smile knowing it will make him into a blushing mess. Trying to ignore them he start to walk toward the “Mythical Beasts Shop”.

“So this is the shop you talked about.”

Without even letting him answer they start to drag him inside. When they enter he see the old man in a chair reading a book as he see us enter he put it on the table on his side before standing up:

“Young man why do you come back so soon do you have any problem with the two kittens ?”

Pointing at the girls :

“I’m here for them they have ask me to take them here.”

After he ear that he turn toward the two girls after taking time to inspect them he pause and take a time to think before sighing looking a bit frustrated :

“I’m sorry I don’t have anything for two you have a very rare twin constitution and the only fitting partner has been given to that young man.”

The moment he finish talking the two turn toward him with their best smile but before they can do anything the old man continue :

“I have a solution but it work only for wed people.”

When Gold and the silver headed twin instantly start to transform into tomatoes the other twin was just surprised :

“Forget it, I’m sorry I have nothing...”

But before he can finish she interrupt him :

“Perfect our wedding is planned for next month !”

The two exclaim together :

“What !!!”

She turn toward them :

“Papa and grandpa fixed the date last week I wanted to tell you before the awakening but before I can we have end up here.”

When were the two were completely dumbfound the old man was laughing :

“What a funny trio you make but I’m sorry but it’s still not possible you need to wait after the wedding. How about you let me come to your wedding and offer you to make the contract as a wedding gift. I'm sure they won't have any problem with me coming.”

After she finish talking about the details when the two other were blushing in a corner after that they finally go back to the plaza centre.

When they reach it was even more crowded than when they left Grandpa and uncle were still talking where they left them.

The two quickly spot the three kids uncle smiling turn toward them :

“Good you pass the test so how did it go.”

After giving Gold his arm back she take the letter that he give her give her from inside her robe before give it to him. Uncle frown before he take it he open it before taking the letter from inside and reading it carefully.

After he finish reading it again to make sure he has not skip anything he start to explain anything to grandpa :

“I don’t have any problem with that to be honest it’s a pretty big gift from him but let’s think about it after the ceremony.”

After closing the subject they start to wait for the beginning of the awakening and as they reach the last hour before it everyone start to calm down people not attending the ceremony slowly exiting the plaza centre.

Everybody was tense waiting for the moment that will set their life path. The sound of the ceremonial drums start to echo in the plaza.

The slow and deep sound was the only thing you could hear everything was quiet all being in a trance like state.

The patriarch coming from the main street slowly walk toward the platform being use as an altar for the ceremony.

As he stand in front of the golden statute in front of him he start to speak :

“I welcome everyone to the annual ritual of awakening.”

He take a pause his gaze falling on everyone in the plaza.

He continue :

“I hope heaven will give you a path that suit you I will now start the ceremony.”

As he say that an immense pressure fall on the plaza as the patriarch fill the altar with his Qi. The platform surface slowly illuminating has the Qi start to seep inside every centimetre of the altar.

The tension increase has the moment grow nearer finally after what seem an eternity a golden ray of light fall on one of the young men inside the plaza centre.

The young man take a deep breath and walk toward the platform stopping in front of the centre of it.

The whole altar start to shine golden become brighter and brighter until the light collapse in the centre.

In place of the golden light a golden scroll took it place it surface was completely empty. The young man in front of it touch the shining scroll two symbols appear on it :

“You have been given the path of the axe make good use of it.”

The young man after taking the time to register what happen give sight of relieve :

“Thanks patriarch.”

After that the scroll disappear inside him before he exit the plaza centre.
