《Lord of cauldrons》Chapter 14: Apex Predator

The first thing Simon noticed upon waking up was a blissed-out Bai Qing laying on his stomach with his manhood still inside her.
"A good Broodslave..."
He caught the words feeling very alien on his tongue yet natural. That thought was immediately superseded by another, a ravenous hunger. So hungry, that for a fraction of a second he thought Bai Qing to be a good meal. Again he felt that sense of being in someone else's skin. But his gluttony preceded and it must be fed.
He combed through his spatial ring only to be severely disappointed by the lack of any meal. He turned to his star platform only to find it void of the nutrients he was seeking.
Simon growled in frustration, to the shock of the woman who still had him inside her. He flung her off him and flew right through the wall of his chamber breaking the enchanted stone like soft clay, two massive wings extending from his back as launched into the air. Red tinging the man's vision as he got consumed by his gluttony.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A large predator was flying in the sky, the monster's mouth salivating in hunger. The prey down bellow were living their lives unaware of the threat that loomed high above them. None of their highly attuned senses were of any help for their stalker lay high above the clouds circling them like a hawk.
The monster circling above was far and above any rule imposed by this realm and being able spot prey beyond a lair of clouds over a mile above the ground was not even child's play to this anomaly. It tracked the antelope like creatures with pinpoint precision as they bounded across the land but held it's desire to lung down in check. Though the creatures were massive they had a deceptive nimbleness to them and missing a lunge would mean an unnecessary chase that the flying creature did not have the time nor energy for. So he waited patiently for a few more seconds to see which one would lay down to rest. It would make it so the prey would need a fraction of a second more to react which was all the monster would need for guaranteed kill instead of a most likely one.

The wait was not long as within moments one of the larger specimens laid down tending to what looked like was its young. This meant even slower of a reaction which served its purposes just fine.
The massive wings closed in as it prepared for its descent. It allowed its body to naturally angle downwards and when its trajectory was a straight line to its prey it shot forward thrusting forward like a supersonic jet.
The analogy was not a metaphor for the speed at which he launched was almost a magnitude above the sound barrier and he sounded like a jet with the speed at which he displaced air.
The prey noticed the threat but could do nothing but watch as something crashed into it directly on its spine.
The impact was so great that cratered the ground and the young was flung away with the earth and rock.
It was a testament to the prey's strength that even an impact that left crater larger than itself could not do much but only shatter its spine, though mercifully the internal damage from the shrapnel of its own spine killed it almost instantly.
The much smaller creature roared in triumph and what a roar it was. The air itself quaked in submission and the entire herd fled in its wake. It might sound comical coming from a creature so small at most slightly larger than human if you did not consider wing span, but the strength of the roar belied its strength, it was king at the top of the food chain and all must bow to its tyranny.
The creature noticed all nuisances had fled and now it had a comfortable spot to enjoy its meal. Two sharp bones protruded from the tips of its leathery wings which used to tear open skin that tough enough to withstand the impact of small meteor.

The creature plunged its snout into the prey's and growled in satisfaction as the warm delicious meat started to fill its stomach. Finally, a worthy meal.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Simon burped awake feeling nauseous as one tends to do when they stuffed themselves much more than was necessary. Along with it came a deep sense of animalistic pleasure. He sat up or at least tried to. Two of his appendages were stuck on something, he grabbed both his arms finding them free and he felt his legs to be just as free. Twisting his neck he found for the first time the precarious situation he was in and the stark changes that up to this point had escaped his notice.
Two massive leathery wings had sprouted from his back and was now stuck in some sort of carcass. Of what he had no idea, it was mauled past the point of no recognition. That was not all, his awareness was now acute enough to notice his arms were covered in blood and the same could be said for the rest of his body. His arms went to his temple only to find something sticking out of it, two somethings.
What was not there, surprisingly, was panic. He was who knows where surrounded by the remains of a dead animal that was larger than a bus, his two new limbs wedged between its ribs and it all felt natural. For the first he acknowledged the feeling that had been building in his gut from the moment he woke up, he brought forth the alien sensations that had been snaking around his mind from the moment he woke up. What he found there both excited and worried him. The revelation was so great that he could no help from shouting out.
"Where did I get the soul essence of a fucking true dragon from?!"
