‘Imbue with mana’ I almost just press it but remember the issue that happened when I suddenly made Tiara my voice, don’t want that again. Hey Tiara, could you ask Iselna if she would be okay with being a mage? “A mage? You can give us magic?” She seemed excited and ran over to the little human girl they exchange word and I see Iselna beaming a bright smile a nodding so I take that as a yes and hit the button.

Iselna cried out in pain and crumpled to the floor motionless. No! Tiara get Tommy now! Luna i don’t know if you can heal but get in the house and help the human girl the best you can, Bruce, send some bats to get any sort of healing her. You can find! I hope she’s okay, this isn’t what I expected at all.

Tommy ran inside ahead of Tiara and checked to see if Iselna was breathing. He visibly relaxes and turns to Tiara who had just shown up, “she’s just asleep, what happened?”

“Dad said he would give her magic and she said she wanted it and she just suddenly screamed and fell down” Tiara was usually well composed for a child but she doesn’t know how to candle a crisis, might need to send her out with Tommy and gang to get into some fights. See if that can keep her calm with some experience.

“This damn dungeon needs to be more careful! What happened to helping us?” Geez Tommy I never meant to hurt anyone, besides I fixed up your house and even gave you levels, I’d say I helped quite a bit.

Iselna groaned and sat up, “Iselna, are you okay?” Tommy kneeled next to her.

“Yeah, I’m fine. It just hurt for a second, I didn’t expect it to hurt. But look what I can do!” She extends her hands and a ball of water appears and she shoots it through the front door accidentally splashing both Panzer and James. “Oh sorry guys!” She calls out. “Was that you?” James yells excitedly, “you can do magic?!”

I let the kids be to enjoy their new plaything, I feel magic is something to be played with and enjoyed. As much as magic can be a dangerous weapon it can just as easily be used to heal or entertain. Uh well as long as any of my theories on magic and mana hold water. I want to try to tutor Iselna but I can’t do anything without Tiara, maybe she can become a mage too and I can teach her and have her teach Iselna? Yeah that could work hey Tiara, do you- “yes! Please! I’ve wanted to use magic for so long!” She didn’t even wait for me to finish, ugh she can hear me god, for a dungeon my members just sucks.

You do realize this isn’t going to be like becoming my voice right? According to Iselna this is gonna hurt quite a bit. “I’m ready for it if it means I can be a mage too.” She says with more resolve than expected from a young girl. Tommy looks over and can tell based on what he hears from Tiara what’s going to happened and seems to ready himself to catch her when she falls.

I focus on my voice and hit the ‘imbue with mana’ option. I feel mana drain from me but she just grimaces and stays standing, impressive kid. “We’ll it didn’t really hurt honestly, just felt like a headache but on the middle of my back” weird. It clearly hurt Iselna, maybe it’s because she has a connection to me as my voice?

Either way it’s time to do some tests and see which of my theories if any work in this world.

So after a few days of experimenting it seems Iselna has a talent for water and fire magic, I don’t know if having two opposing types is rare but it’s cool the things we found she can do with mist and steam. Tiara on the other hand is the resident healing mage, she can use most any other magics save anything too advanced for her to understand, similar to Iselna but if she and Iselna both use the same amount of mana to make a water ball Iselna’s will be bigger.

Seems in this world there’s a mix of things, the kids have skills like water ball and heal but if they concentrate and control the mana themselves they can do just about anything they can imagine so long as they have enough control and clear image. This opens up so many doors to do a lot of cool things with, Luna has a fire affinity and is pretty good at using earth magic but doesn’t have an actual talent in it, just practiced. She used it to dig more fox holes and to trap the squirrels from time to time.

I think after the girls get the hang of magic it will be time to teach them some science and see how far we can push the magic of this world, would I be able to create automatons? Could I create a magic nuke? We’ll get there eventually, and hopefully never have to actually use that nuke idea. I haven’t had any visitors besides the inspector but I’ll set a few minions around the chests, the rats have been stocking with stuff they and the bats find.

I upstage my minions a bit more and end up maxing out the rats and spiders, the spiders are now tarantulas but widow is still just a widow, if not just a bit bigger. I can’t seem to find her half the time which I suppose is good for an assassin. Bruce has been watching the yard from the roof and sending the bats out to explore and gather in my stead. Luna has been on the front line of taking care of the enemies and has gotten bigger and better with her magic, I see a tuft of fur growing by her tail, maybe we need to get a brush and take care of that or maybe she’s growing a second tail? Anything’s possible with magic I guess.

I’m happy with how things are progressing now, I have four avatars and the kids are getting stronger and smarter by the day! The only thing I’m missing now is- oh speak of the devil, a visitor.
