《Warped World: The Nether Dungeon》Chapter 7 Rage to The Top Pt3

Savage Goblin Base
Off to the west of the Dungeon core’s fort directly in the middle, where the swamp meets the forest, within a former hog den a large gathering of Savage Goblins meets and plans for their future.
“Saw breeders go to swamp far away from bigger gobbos. We go swamp, find breeders and make ours.” Slurred out a Savage Goblin who was missing his left ear.
“No going to swamp not work. Mighty chittering crawly things hunt down there eat many gobbos already not worth risk.” Replied a Savage Goblin wearing two loincloths.
They had been arguing back and forth like this for quite a while. Which is impressive in and of itself when you factor in their intelligence. How is it that some of us are smart enough to form complex plans and hold conversations, yet still dumb enough to disregard safety? Sometimes I feel disgusted to know I am of the same species as them. Time to take control of this situation.
“Too much talk, need good plan to please core. Not stupid plan, or breeders, get later. Core hate us need make proud so git gud” I told them.
I should have known better, they collectively yelled back “SHUT UP SHRIVELED” I made a valid point but they all looked down on me because of my left arm. It was shriveled because I foolishly tried and failed to save one of my kin from a Mighty Crawler in the swamp. Its fangs ruined my arm when the hurt juice made contact. Now it was just a twisted husk of what it had been, scabbed and torn barely hanging on to my body, but I won’t give them the happiness of seeing it torn from my body not until they pay for treating me like a useless thing to be discarded. I will not be discarded like trash, I will make the core happy happy and I will kill anyone who tries to stop me.
“Oh ho ho, now you have some delightfully dark thoughts my weakened friend.” Came a female voice from nowhere and everywhere.
“What who say dat were you?” replied the Shriveled goblin
“Ah goblins, intelligent thoughts but poor speech. I’ve always wondered why some of you can speak actual sentences while others speak gibberish. It’s so wonderfully chaotic! I LOVE IT!” The voice said.
This is very bad for me I can’t see where she is. This dumb breeder thinks shes better than me too. “Come out fight and die. I show you I strongest here.” I screeched into the air.
“Hahaha you aren’t wrong but that is the first time I think anyone has ever called me a breeder before, I mean I have birthed over 12 children, but that's not important right now.You said you wanted to prove yourself little goblin. I can give you the power you seek and so much more. So…… Do you want this power?” The voice stated like it was that simple.

“If power so easy give power I want it.” I don't know what kind of power it is the voice offers but I wants it.
“Very well, I knew you were the right choice. Now go spread some Chaos for me.” The voice spoke one last time.
With the voice gone, the weakened goblin sat alone outside the cave entrance. It waited and felt nothing, the voice had lied to him and he was furious. He should have known a female could not give power. As he sulked and trudged away from his former home and his kin he felt heavier as he moved. No, not just heavy but a coldness seeped into his limbs and he started to stumble. He turned and looked behind himself and saw puddles of blood on the ground where he had been and another pool forming under him. He panicked and tried to run, tried to get help. All he was able to do was take another few steps before he collapsed onto the ground and started convulsing and foaming at the mouth as his body was wracked by an intense chilling pain unlike any he had felt before.
Whenever he regained control over his body and tried to stand and run for help he fell again and once more lay on the ground convulsing and foaming at the mouth while his blood seemed to take on a life of its own. As impossible as it may seem, it appears as though his blood was actively trying to kill him. The shriveled little Savage Goblin didn’t know how long he laid on the ground but to him it was an eternity of his blood leaking from his body pulling him close to death’s door, it took many tries and a load of pain but he was slowly getting better at drawing his blood back into his body whenever it poured out. This continued for hours, back and forth a near constant push and pull on his blood. On one side an unnatural force pushed his blood from the inside of his body forcing it out, on the other his will to live pulled at every drop that escaped and desperately tried to drag it back in.
“Me not die, me not die, me not die, this my body blood mine, obey me no hurt anymore.” The increasingly weak goblin muttered
Whether it was strength of will, persistence, or a higher power taking pity on the little wretch the pain stopped, and he breathed a sigh of relief. As he stood on trembling legs after what felt like hours of torture but in truth was a few minutes, not that he was in any condition to tell the correct passage of time, he cast his gaze on his body which had undergone a change. Where he was once bald his hands moved through oily black hair, where his teeth had fallen out, they grew back, and disturbingly enough all the veins on his body pushed against his skin and had turned an unpleasant scarlet red under his deep green skin, the changes had apparently fixed his body except his left arm that had faced the venom of the swamp spiders. It had turned solid black and looked as if it was rotten. The veins that ran through it glowed bright red and visibly pulsed with the beat of his heart.

Congratulations as promised by the Nether Goddess Chaos you have been granted the power of Blood Magic.
He saw the words pass in front of his vision but his fluctuating intelligence could not comprehend what it truly meant, only that the voice kept it’s word and gave him power. He could feel the changes in his body and he liked this feeling. With it came an understanding he could control blood, not just his own but the blood of others as well. A crooked smile spread across his face now was the time to take revenge on the brothers who mocked him and the spider that hurt him. Yes, he would make them pay for humiliating him and prove that he was worthy of the cores love not his hate. But before he could begin his trek back to the den and hurt them, he had to deal with the rather large white hog that walked out of the swamp. It would be an excellent test of his new powers.
The newly empowered goblin turned to face the massive white hog, and dared to make eye contact with it. The hog clearly did not like this and snorted, letting out a thick puff of smoke from its nostrils, and started pawing at the ground. As the smaller of the two the goblin acted first and tried to close the distance with the hog. As soon as he made a move the hog charged him and tried to gore him on its tusks. The two closed the distance quickly, but the hog was faster and scored a glancing blow against the goblins right leg and sent it crashing to the ground writhing in pain.
The fight was incredibly one sided, the goblin was getting his ass beat. The hog had size and speed on the goblin, but the newly empowered goblin was tenacious to say the least. He simply refused to give up and die an admirable quality to have. After being knocked to the ground by the hog’s charging for the 5th time he had enough. He screamed and shouted at the hog who had been making him look like an idiot. “Arrggghhh you stupid fat pig thing hold still and die, let me kill you!”
“This not posed to happen me get power me strong now you dumb pig you posed to die.” The goblin said as if it were a fact the hog didn’t know. Too bad the massive hog was a wild animal and couldn’t speak goblin, but even if it did it wouldn’t just sit still and let itself be killed without a fight. The drums of rage and the pulsing beat of conquest drove it forward the same as every other denizen on the 1st floor.
The hog came around for another pass, this time with the intent to finish off the annoying pest before him and feed. As the hog drew near and lowered it tusks toward the goblins soft stomach, the goblin now terrified at the monstrous hog charging towards it put its scrawny arms up to cover its face in a blocking motion. Just before the hog made contact with the goblin a sharp whistling sound was heard and then a crash. As he opened his eyes the hog lay in front of him squirming on the ground, a pool of blood forming underneath it. “What happen why piggie not kill me? How did I kill piggie?” The oblivious goblin asked the air. As he crawled up and dusted himself off, he found that his left arm was now slick with blood. Upon seeing this he freaked out and desperately began patting his arm trying to find the source of the blood. It took him a few minutes before he realized the cold numbing feeling that he associated with blood loss was not present.
As he shook his arm, he soon discovered that wherever he moved his arm the blood seemed to flow and follow it. After a hell of a lot of wasted time playing with the blood surrounding his hand and arm, he pushed his arm out and a spike of hardened blood flew out of his hand and impaled the now dead hog. Seeing this an answer finally found its way into the goblins mind. He had killed the hog with this blood power he had. A wide smile split his face as he laughed and howled with joy. He finally understood the power the voice gave him, he could control blood. With the hog dead and some control over his power he used the claws at the end of his stubby fingers to tear the head from the hog and rip off a large portion of its fur and skin. With trophies in hand and hate on his mind he returned to the den to make the others pay.

Triquetra: A Multi-Class Isekai or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Accept the End of the Multiverse
Triquetra: An Multi-Class Isekei Adventure I know, I know, you have heard it all before. Yes I was hit by a truck. Yes I ended up in a Fantastical World suspiciously similar to one of my favorite RPG’s. Yes I had access to cheats no one else possessed. Yes it was a world of classes and levels and magic powers. Finally, yes I was an overweight middle-aged loser failing to live up to my potential. Given my eclectic reading habits I should have been better prepared. Unfortunately I was not. Sure I could multi-class with reduced penalties, but my starting class was Scholar! No combat abilities and very limited spellcasting. My HUD interface costs mana to use, and my universal translation seemed to be outsourced to Giggle Translate. I’m supposed to be an OP MC! Not a slice-o- life struggling to survive in the wilderness. Not to mention the Arch-Magus who summoned me, mistimed everything, I arrived 300 years too late, after the fall of the Empire I was supposed to save. The surviving remnants have devolved into Murder Hobos. What’s worse is that the Great Devourer, Ancient Calamity, and Spawn from the Void Beyond Time, Space, and Sanity is now aware of a new world to plunder, a world called Dirt! (Told you this translator sucks) Warning Extra Crunchy Authorial Vebosity! Lots of infodump in the early chapters, but I learn my lesson and it does get better, eventually. I do not own the Cover image, found it on a free image site.

Both of them having common interest, Bobby agreed to sign over his services in exchange for phenomenal (draconic) magic. A pretty awesome deal, right? The contract put him at the top percentage of human magicians, on top of having the backing of a dragon patron, and a fantastic set of benefits befitting an esteemed contractor, so it'd be smooth sailing from then on, right? Not so. That kind of power isn't granted without strings attached, and Bobby's practically bound up in them. Following the esoteric laws set forth by magicians , juggling them with the mortal interests he still has to abide by, and finding himself at the beck and call of a fickle and opaque patron makes his life as a magician a rollercoaster of ups and downs. Delving into fantastic crimes and cracking open mysteries is just the least he can do, and he'll do it with the help of his gun, his wand, and his trusted allies both large and small. --- Cover art is of the Georgia Guidestones.
