《Far cry: My life in a fantasy world as a gunslinger (Idea dump go to Far cry of an anti-hero for a more refine one)》Chapter 10: Aftermath and consequences

I run around, trying to find three things, fuel, ammo and supplies. However, what I found were merely dead bodies of raped women and children, which somewhat enrages me even more. I feel like I should go back to that storehouse and skin them off their scalps. I eventually found all of the weapons in the nearby area with extra ammo, fuel, supplies,…etc.
The second grenade blows off, giving me the cue to prepare for an all-out attack.
I’m against about three dozen or more bandits with swords, bows and crossbow, what should I do? Oh god, what should I do~?
I engage them with extreme prejudice at this point of course.
Gathering all the weapons I could find, reload them and put them besides the last stand I created using wood and debris the parts in the alleyways, I prepare for the attack. Despite finding 3 mounted LMGs and TOWs, I can’t use them just yet since these guns are badly corroded and are missing a few pieces for them to work and their batteries have been badly corroded.
The bandits split up, covering many sides of the alleyways. Though this is against my plan, I would still plan to take them on, let see how long these idiots will last. Sword against bullets, mercenary against privateers…
Just to screw with them, I put my head out on each alleyway, shouting “BAKA CHIKI”, trying to enrage them enough to see if these idiots would go recklessly and rush me. And yes they did.
They rush at me, war cries loud and clear, sword and bows in hands and with a ragtag look. Aiming my m16 at them, I let out a few steady bursts of bullets and take down the three front shielded guys. Choosing the right passage, I charge at the remaining bandit, bayonet in front and axe in hand. Stabbing the next guy in the eye and shooting three shots through his eye socket, the bullets than on themselves to the guys behind them, killing one and wounding the other between the eye and the ear.
“ARGH!”
“Huk!”
“Hehe~” I let out a malicious laugh.
“He’s too strong we won’t make it out! We have to run!” one of them yells out loud from the left passages.
“Oh no, you don’t!”I jump out the other end and pull out my Ithaca shotgun.

*Bang* With the first shot, I break through the chest plate of the front bandit, sending him flying towards his friends.
*Kachink* I eject the first shell and chamber the next.
As they push their fallen brethren out of the way, I lay down the next cluster of shots, blasting them backwards, again.
*ka-ching* I eject the second shell, chamber the next and point It to my back, blowing away the jaws of one of the Assassin type bandit.
“Hahaha…” Seems like I’ve pushed them to their breaking point, their bloodshot eyes now are merely cowardice eyes of those who are about to die.
They fall down on each other, trampling on themselves trying to run away.
Still drowned my bloodlust, I pull out my knife and continue my massacre.
With my knife drawn and a loaded m92, I lay down a few shots to the staggering bandits, stabbing and shooting them to death.
After the smoke has cleared, the blood on my knife has dried out, the muzzle of my gun has cooled, and the sounds of dying bandits have stopped; I then gather my equipment and weapons.
In this skirmish, I was able to find: 3 broken mounted guns(2 50 cal machine guns and 1 tow launcher); five 5.56 assault rifles; ten 9mm handguns; four 7.72 assault rifles; three 12 gauge shotguns;six sniper rifles(4 anti-personnel rifles and 2 anti-materiel rifles); And multiple cases of ammo.
After carefully loading them through the exit, I then contact Emily.
“Emily…*Static*…I’ve dealt with the bandits…*static*…I’ve gathered quite a lot of weapons and supplies for the road, if you can come and help me bring them back that would be great…*Static*”
“*Static* Right away Mitsuha-san…*Static*.”She responds.
It’s a shame that I wasn’t able to dig proper graves for these people, they seemed to be nice folks.
“Rest in peace...”I put my hands together, and pray for them.
I then throw the lanterns near the fireplace at the wooden houses, burning the town down, hopefully, they will return to the earth and pass on…
I leave the place as the fire gets stronger and alongside I is Emily, carrying about 20 kgs of ammo. Like before I’m also amazed by this since Emily looks to be smaller than most men I saw here even though she’s taller than me. The duke was pretty tall and big, so is his wife. Anyway, Emily is stronger than she seems.

“You haul quite a lot today Mitsuha-san…”She compliments me.
“Mhh! These bandits might have robbed a military base or depot to get these weapons. I would have been dead if they knew how to use them…But luckily they don’t so here I am now.”I brag with a smug look as the sun rises behind us, giving me a sense of complete like as if I had just finished a mission in a video game.
On the way back to the campsite, I ponder about my current situation.
The sadistic tendency to leave behind me gory mutilated bodies isn’t…like me at all. I might be either crazy in the head or god might have broken my lock of emotional reservation.
Either way, I admit, killing sure was fun to a certain point, but I still would want to remain in a pacifist way to resolve my problems. And somehow I’m feeling quite dizzy as if I’m going to faint.
*thud*
And so I faint, it’s gonna be either from tetanus or the loss of blood that have been painting my military fatigues red this whole time.
Anyhow, it must be his doing. Aw well, I’d to meet him again eventually.
I once again wake up, this time with an aching shoulder from where the arrow hit.
“Welcome back! Mitsuha-san.” God greets me with a warm smile.
“Hello, god-sama~.” With a giddy attitude, I reply him.
“You seem happy today, may I know the reason why?”He asks me
“I managed to kill off many bandits…And horribly mutilated some of them fufufu~.” I show him my sadistic side, bragging about my achievement from earlier.
The face he shows after hearing that is sort of a grey area between mad and sad, rather than joy.
“Seems like I overdid on the mental block...I know what you had done Mitsuha and I’m somewhat horrified by it…I thought that you would show more remorse in killing those people…” He then gives me some malt-tea, while criticizing my judgement.
“But I did feel remorse,” I say to him. “I felt the remorse of not killing all of them, the band of bandits that attacked the carriage from morning and the prisoner we caught…”I take another sip and continue. “Wasn’t the killing and being a hero a part of this pseudo-world experience that you planned to gave me? The bandits committed rape and killing of those women and children, they already chose their fate, karma will come to them eventually; Sooner or later they’ll die but at least this way, I can make sure that their deaths were as painful as it could get…”
“I understand your feelings Mitsuha, but they are people too nonetheless. My child, they are born into the world knowing of only fulfilment and unfairness. They are merely victims of this world, they…”
“Then why didn’t you stop me? Why didn’t you let them kill me?” I interrupt him.”It was their actions and crimes that enrage me, I had to kill them or else they’ll do more harm to other innocents. If you are not to help me then please stay out of my way. And more if you’re not going to permit me to kill, I will heed your request but to cripple them enough to let them feel the pain that they had inflicted on others.”
Damn, I sound so cool.
“Oh crap. I messed up. Oh crap…I accidentally made you into a dark anti-hero like you’re from the edgy comic universe. Oh crap!” God suddenly says. “I’ve gotta fix this!”
Then in the heap of the moment, he pulls out a giant scroll and lay it out along the ground next to the table.
“I’ve gotta make you feel more remorseful after killing others; I’ll also give you one of my angels as the arch-priest who will look after you; You’ll also need a mentor for new experiences, a video game military character would do…” He hastily writes and erases lines after lines in the scroll, “You can find her in my church in a village southwest from here. You’ll also find Kirara there…”
He goes on and on rewriting parts in the scroll, I’m somewhat amazed at how fast he works. I sit there, silently watching him alter my story.
“Hoh? Somethings wrong here.” He suddenly stops.
“What’s wrong sir?”
“Your sisters, they’re here, they’re presented in this time scroll…”
