Chapter 10: The assault and their biggest mistake.
With my weapons prepared, I then forward with my plan with three objectives at hand: one primary, the liberation of all hostages that the bandits have taken and two-second objectives of acquiring extra munition and weapons from these scoundrels.
Despite the fact that the intel I gathered earlier from the reconnaissance had a ton of holes due to the fact that the number of bandits stationed here is somewhat lesser than I thought. Either they are lounging around in the houses or they have gone out for a raid and haven’t gone back.
I then make my way to the barricaded part of the town wall, using the axe, I carefully chip away the wood planks, breaking through the barricades. Since the hole is pretty small, it can be easily covered with some debris that laid around these part.
Making my way through the cracks, I’m then well come with maze-like alleyways filled with trash and debris.
“These guys reek,” I say while pulling up my scarf, saving my nose from being continuously tortured by the smell of rotten meat.
This creates an advantage for me since the maze of trash and debris can serve as cover to help the hostages retreat if things are to go wrong.
Slowly opening each door of the houses, I begin my search for the hostages. However, in one of the houses what I found is somewhat disturbing enough to make me rethink my plan.
One of the houses has a ditch, a mass grave to be exact, filled with the inhabitants of this village and worst, they’re mostly women and children. Their appearance and wounds that are shown on their disrobed body suggest that these barbarians had committed rape and murder to these people.
Girls, as young as primary age children to women age 40s are evidently thrown into the ditch. Many have begun to oxidise, which leave a pretty nasty odour like the one that I experienced back in the cemetery.

…
This sucks really…Despite what God gave me somewhat desensitized me to blood, guts and killing, these sights really makes me feel sick…of these degenerates.
…
Unable to keep up the poker face anymore, two lines of tears drip down my cheeks, I then throw up entirely everything I had earlier today.
“UGhhh!”
This feels pathetic, here I am the hero, supported by god, crying his eyes out and puking out his dinner. Of course, at this point, I change my objective from stealthily saving these people to insanely massacring these bandits or better, to let them build a grave for these people and maybe brutally killing them wouldn’t be so bad.
I then rethink my plan, rather than going stealthily, killing them rather than leaving this compound alone. If I am to let them alive, they'll bring more harm to other people no later in the future.
Since the
And what luck, I found a few hand grenade boxes in this place. These idiots might have thought the grenades were somewhat a delicious fruit to eat and tried them, which might explain the teeth marking on them. This might also explain the broken release pin and the bent locking pin.
I should be able to make some booby traps to distract them with these. Using the utility tool on my axe, i fix three of the broken grenades together, making a bouquet, laying them down on the road. At each corners of the barricaded towns, I leave the one bouquet as a booby trap, so that if they were to run I’ll be able to close off their retreat.
Using the PDA, I then map out the paths I went by. Some how this operation reminded me of MGSV, it some what resembles a tactical espionage operation.
I take off the ACOG for the M16, add on the bayonet and fix on my EOtech reflex sight. Putting the gun on single fire mode, and plan to make good of their alienated knowledge of guns to take time and dispatch them. Both to train my marksmanship and to conserve ammo.
