Mom had told us that she had receive a letter that says dad was well and he went to the frontline to keep the kingdom safe.

So I know this is weird but when she was telling us this news, I heard the voice say

*its a lie*

And somehow I knew it was telling me the truth.

My brothers was skeptical just like me so we did some investigation.

We asked the village guards for any recent visitors.

There was none.

We asked the pastor if the birds brought letters .

There was none

Asked the local witch. She laugh it off saying it wasn't her work to receive letters.

My brother pat shyly asked about the picture ball.

She laugh it off again saying it doesn't work that way.

She tried to ask us why we where doing this.

When we tried to answer her.

She was suddenly scared and shut the door on us.

We were shocked at her reaction when we haven't even told her the reason.

My brothers was fuming but what can we do?

That's when I felt a shiver run down my back.

Looking around i noticed a silhouette stood on top the hill looking straight at us.

He looked familiar.

My brother noticed it and said it was old man joe.

So it was the man who took me home?

I haven't met and say thank you to him but my brothers said they had already thanked him on my behalf.

I should thank him when I have chance.

So last stop was the village head's house.

So as usually we asked the village elder if we had any messages from the frontline.

He told us there was none.

So we where stumped not knowing where the letter came from.

Then it dawned on me.

The voice was right.
