《To Be A Senior Brother》Chapter 15: Tian Lu cooking

Tian Lu had enough of the beasts coming in waves to besiege his traveling companions. He knew there were a lot of dangerous creatures in this dark forest. It was actually one of the reasons he decided on this course. It was also why he came prepared - with beast-attracting incense. He had dreams of an incense that could increase the rate of beasts appearing and with his intelligence and resources, he was able to make that a reality. He did notice that he was able to make a few things he had remembered from his past life into reality. One of those was eating beast meat.
The cultivator known as Lu wanted to try the beast’s meat and to increase his fellow disciple’s power. Mostly the beast meat, because he had read so much about it. But with this path and incense, he knew he could accomplish both. As he cooked the meat with the spices he brought, an incredible aroma started assaulting the Plum Tree Sect travelers. After being formerly assaulted by beasts, the smell of their defeat was truly enticing.
Gong Chang, who was not a monk, could eat the meat. Elder Wei, who was not a monk, could also eat the meat. Elder Fang, who was not a monk, did not particularly eat meat as she was a proponent of life being sacred. She was a sheltered cultivator as she had never killed a man nor had she killed a beast. The blood she saw just moments ago gave her glimpses of the cruel aspect of the cultivator’s path. This journey would change her.
However, as a cultivator, it was actually not that rare for cultivators to not eat, much less not eat meat, as the stronger the cultivation the less food was needed for consumption. Eating food could actually have a negative effect due to impurities found in much of qi-less nature.

Disciple Daiyu, Rang, and Mei Ahn were very much looking forward to their senior brother’s cooking. Mi Rang’s mouth watered, Mei Ahn and Ju Daiyu’s mouth will not be described because of people’s impure hearts.
After uncorking his beast repellent and then putting it away, Tian Lu asked his fellow Plum Tree sect members to clean up the beasts and to cut them cleanly. He wanted to preserve them and to eat them for later. The wagon had barrels prepared just for this occasion. Some of the beast’s bodies were unrecognizable and could not be salvaged. However, there were enough that could be eaten and preserved. Additionally, the skin, bones, teeth, and various other beast parts were usable for so much more. Especially to a man as gifted in all other aspects of life except for cultivation. So he had them diligently work on those tasks while he finished cooking.
The meal was incredible and it was the best meal any of the sect members had ever eaten. However, the actual meal, its taste and presentation, was indescribable. Words would not do it justice.
