As we start releasing our strength, the ground under us makes a huge crater. Arcien readies his blade and prepares to jump towards me.
Seeing this, I do the same, I reinforce my fist with aura then coat it with blue flames. We jump towards each other, leaving a trail of dust behind. Arcien prepares his blade and slashes downwards at breakneck speed, expecting this much, I raise my left hand to try and grab hold of the blade, but fail and watch as the blade cuts through my shoulder.
Quickly retreating a few feet back, I let my natural regeneration take care of the wound. Seeing this chance, Arcien gets ready for another strike as he positions the blade in front him. He jumps and raises his blade to strike once more.
“the same attack won’t work twice! [FIREBALL]!!” I shout and shoot a fire ball towards him and creates an explosion, waiting for the dust to clear, I see… Nothing? A trick? As I was confused, I find my shadow growing bigger… “Above! [Fire Bullet]!!!” I start spamming fire bullets and wait for him to land.
*THUD*
“Hah! U screwed up! You can’t dodge mid-air!” I say with a grin as I wait for the dust to clear. The dust is gone and what I see in front of me makes me talk in a stupid voice. “Eh?” yes, he isn’t there, what I do see is a huge bird… while studying the bird I hear a voice behind me, “-Not unless you can use your wings!-” as soon as I snapped back to reality, I feel a burning sensation on my stomach… “okay fine, you win”

***Random forest 2, a few minutes later***

“-Dumbass! You can’t lose focus during a battle! How many times do I have to tell you ‘till you get it?” right now two boys, seemingly around 15 years old that looks exactly the same are... argueing?, yep, these two boys are our MC’s, namely Arcien and Theo. They are currently sitting near a fire while eating a bird full of.... holes…
“Ok fine, fine! Jusht save iht for later” I said while munching on bird meat. “-Anyways, what do you plan to do now?-“ Arcien asked. “well, lets travel to the nearest town and gather some information about this world… or why don’t you just tell me what you know about this world? You already know why I’m here anyways” yes, Arcien wastes his time by going through my memories…
“-Well, the world is divided into 4 continents… one in each direction… north, east, west, and south. We are in the eastern continent. Ruled by the Bloodrose Kingdom.-” Well, that explains why it’s huge…
“-All inhabitants of this world are classified by ranks, for the humanoids, its E>D>C>B>A>S>SS>SSS. And for beasts, its Magical>Demon>King>Emperor>Disaster>God>Primordial>Chaos. Though there are God>Primordial>Chaos ranks, none have been seen so far, so they’re pretty much just legends, the highest rank for beast as of now is the disaster rank and only 4 exist, Including me.-” Hmmm if disaster ranks are this strong, how about God ranked beasts? Oooh I’m getting excited just thinking of eating one.
“-Hahahaha! We’ll see if we are lucky enough to find one though, Get some rest, we have a long day tomorrow.” I walk through the forest to look for the tallest trees, sit on one of the branches and wait for the land of dreams to take my consciousness away.

This is the original version of Origin before I rewrote it. It's much more simpler, some names and personalities are a little different. THere's nowhere near as much back story or character development/interaction. But the story is essentially at the end of book one. I wrote this 15 odd years ago, and with a bit of polish it doesn't look too bad. The story like Origin is about a group of college students who find a ship that is the last remnant of an ancient human space faring civilisation, they fix her up and go back into space. Along they way they'll meet alot of aliens, religious fundamentalists and conmen.
