《Is this really luck?》Chapter 2 father

" " = speech
' ' = thoughts (mostly mc at the moment since she's still a baby)
Rachel woke up startled when she noticed a loud thud at the door. Alarmed she grabbed the nearest thing to her which was her mother's dress. Her mother had laid her down to sleep next to her on the bed. They were in medieval era so Rachel was on guard even if she was a baby.
Sylvia woke up when she heard the voice of the one who came through the door. A blond handsome man in his early 30s gave her a hug. Leaving Rachel stunned even as a baby because she knew who this person was. It was her father. Except without the mustache. This made her as a baby freeze in place awkwardly her father's appearance doesn't really change much.
"I'm home." (Edward)
"Welcome home honey. Look isn't her blue eyes so beautiful like yours." (Sylvia)
"No she has your beautiful hair Sylvia." (Edward)
The two being loving in front of her made her want to gag. At least act normal and not so much touching and kissing, at least not in front of this baby.
As if she wanted to get attention she started crying for her stomach also growled. Instead Rachel felt embarrassed at her being unable to control her urge as a baby. Sure she wanted attention but not in this way. Her mother picked her up gently as she gave a apologizing look to her husband.
"After feeding her why don't you let me hold her." (Edward)
Sylvia laughed but gently held the baby as she breast feed her. Rachel felt embarrassed as she was being breast feed and trying to push away her mother's body to no avail. This made her mother happy with laughter.

"Seems our daughter knows how to resist being fed." (Sylvia)
"She'll grow up to be a fine young lady. If she's this stubborn she'll be as stubborn as you when we first met." (Edward)
"Really when we met we were at the light goddess's temple. For me it was love at first sight yet this stupid fool wanted to climb the tree for the prince's kite because he requested it. (Present king ruling.)" (Sylvia)
'Why do I sense a chill from mother when she mentioned their first meeting.' (Rachel)
"Yes I remember correctly you went to flirt with the maids afterwards." (Sylvia)
Her husband felt a chill run through his back as she narrowed her eyes on him asking if he still dares to cheat on her. Rachel wanted nothing to do with this conversation yet she couldn't do anything since she was in her mother's tight grin being breastfeed. She was still a baby so she couldn't crawl away either since she was barely just a day old. Her only thought was you can't cheat a goddess that can oversee everything. If she remember correctly her mother was also the goddess of life and she controlled reincarnation cycle. No matter how you look at it if her father screwed up her mother would know.
She could only pity him for getting the goddess's attention. After all there's no running away from the goddess who could also control life. Her hands stretched out as her mother played with her.
'It's not that I'm distracted or anything it's my instincts that's isn't helping me. I can't even think straight for long like this as a baby." (Rachel)
Edward slowly approached and gestured to hold the baby which made Sylvia smile. Without another word she gently gave the baby Rachel over to her dad. Rachel blinked as he hung her over his head smiling.

"That's my little girl. You look just like your mother except for your eyes." (Edward)
"Of course she got her beauty from me." (Sylvia)
'No as a goddess if I don't look pretty then that's just messed up in itself if my mother has a gorgeous body proportions and can devastate kingdoms of the old back on Earth.' (Rachel)
Her father let out a awkward laugh as rubbed his chin against Rachel's face which caused her to cry.
"Now give me the baby. She doesn't like your rough beard that's barely growing from your chin. There there." (Sylvia)
Rachel had stopped crying as her mother took her away and patted her back. She felt her eyes were heavy again as she went back to sleep.
