What were we here for again? Oh, right. The plot for this very generic story. Bleh. It's so generic it doesn't really have a name. Just "Generic Fantasy Romance etc. etc."

In the world of Cogus, the world is divided into two halves. Well, more like three quarters and the left out quarter. No, we aren't going to talk about the misfortunates who were left out. They got lucky! Those in the other quarters got powers which means they have to fight! It's a martial arts world like from CD, WDQK, and other wuxia related stories. (Don't ask me what wuxia is, all I know is that is kicks a load of %#*. $^%#, the cursing police are on me, It's my house and I'm allowed to curse as much as I want!) Back on topic, the world is one where combat happens and people strive to reach the topic and can create prosperous families.

In this world, there was a great Four-Elemental who commanded Earth, Fire, Water, and Air to vanquish his enemies in glorious combat! It's the Avatar, NOPE. Four-Elementals typically take up commander positions so let's get that out of the way real quick. However, as with any cultivating world. For reasons of wealth and talent most people cannot master control of an element without years of study and training. Just saying, because I get bored sometimes with underdogs. Oh, they are about to lose. Nope. Deus Ex Machina guys. I hate playing with that guy, he always gets the right thing to win. Not cheating my Ass. !!! Yay, I can curse now. I feel better already.

Okay, so that Elemental named Wellson Grain had many great exploits before finally retiring and rearing himself a kid. Taking the kiddo from the confines of the city to the wastelands in the mountains (Because there always has to be mountains) he begun to teach his son everything about the four elements so that the kid will become a great fighter just like his old man. Best dad ever. (At least the kid is getting attention unlike a certain kid in TFS abridged. Come on, I want more episodes already. It's an addiction.) Now Greatson Grain, (I know right, the naming sense of this family.) is 15-16 years old and has mastered nearly all of the elements thanks to his talent when suddenly his father comes into contact with a unknown Four-Elemental who brutally kills him right in front of Greatson. (Then the kid becomes Batman! JK, the kid tears up and cries like a pansy.)

Done crying, Greatson realizes that the four elements aren't enough and works to develop a new element. Lightning! Needing vast resources he goes to the one thing every one of these stories needs. School! There is where we get the romance aspect. Inside he meets a girl who makes him practically forget about getting revenge on the man who killed his father, but he knows that the heavens are awaiting the day for his vengeance.
