《One can only laugh in the face of destiny》5 - You can Understand me ?!

While the God of Destiny was talking to Dave the Priest, Clive the Donkey Hero, and the unwilling Frank all the other people in the Spire were just spectators. What they saw was a bit different from what you might imagine.
Clive started out covered in light and then started making all kinds of donkey facial expressions. First he looked concerned, almost frightened as his ears lowered and his bottom dropped. nEXT he scowled and shook his head back and forth. The scowling caused the entire place to be washed with the aura of oppression, as it cast over them and then all of a sudden the donkey went HEE HAW HEE HAW and it was gone just as abrupt as it arrived. Nobody in the crowd knew exactly what was happening. Some feared Clive himself was creating the aura while others thought it was the work of Demons in the shadows. The King Anthon the 13th of his name himself knew not what was going on he could only watch on and hope for the best for everyone's sake.
At the same time Frank was having his own conversation made more expressions than many had seen him make in years. His eyes remained closed but his body exploded with the aura of his emotions.
First was a blank surprised look almost a shocked unknowing. Then it quickly changed to a stern deep thought as he pressed his brows together. Next he was also forced with the same aura Clive was undergoing yet a less forceful one. He abruptly kneeled down only holding himself up by the handle of his sword as it stood in front of him, a pillar of support.
Once the aura passed he made an abrupt concerned face while shaking his head. This especially worried the King as he had never seen Frank worried, stressed and a bit doubtful for the future but never worried.
Frank switched to a scowl obviously angry with whatever was happening to him.
While Frank and Clive were having their own issues with the God of Destiny, unfortunately for Dave he actually had it the worse. He levitated and twitched in what appeared to be pain. Dave would open his mouth as if screaming but no sound would come out. As the light left Clive and Frank it imposed greatly on Dave and then his legs exploded and he was left with healed nubs somehow. It was as an explosion spell went off in his legs and then the greatest healer in the kingdom healed his legs for months. Dave never told a soul what really happened to him in this moment he would only ever laugh and reply to them “don’t ever fuck with destiny”.

While Dave abruptly lost his legs and had them replaced with nubs, the crowd all backed away from the three. No one was sure what would happen to them now that the two strongest people in the room, and the one who started this ritual all seemed to be having difficulty with whatever caused this light. Several mummers of upsetting the God of Destiny were going around but no one had ever really bought into them and were thinking Dave was faking his Godly talks.
Just as Frank and Clive finished their own talks with The God of Destiny. Frank heard a sudden mummer of laughing slowly becoming louder. He quickly opened his eyes and looked around to see where it was coming from
“HAHAHAHAHA fuck Destiny…. I really want a snack…” Clive thought depressed over his new so-called destiny.
“Maybe none of these guys know I understand them and I can sneak away quietly. If no ones looking, that's exactly what I will do.” Clive readied himself to make a break for it and searched around.
While Clive was looking around everyone else was looking at Dave who just lost his legs who seemed to be coming to consciousness again. Several people around talking to him, “you ain't got no legs Priest Dave.”
Clive was ready to turn and run this was his chance! Only he felt one set of eyes on his back. Turning he saw Frank looking at him making a stern face towards him.
“What the fuck is this ugly man looking at me for?! Just look over there so I can get away!.... You know what fuck it its just this one guy I am going to leave.” Frank started to walk away as sneakily as he could with hooves going ~~Clop Clop Squish Clop Clop Clop Squish Clop.~
Clive stopped and looked down at his hoof explaining “ew there’s still some brain left in it, hopefully no one heard that”
Frank still stared at Clive confused, “Are you the one talking?” He asked towards Clive
Clive stopped and looked back at Clive confused as to who Frank was talking to.
“Donkey are you talking to me?”
King Anthor the 13th of his name was staring at Dave wondering what the hell just happened when he heard Frank asking the Donkey if he was talking. “What the hell happened Frank?”
Clive thought to himself, “Fuck off you giant bastard! Stop attracting people's eyes I need to get out of here.”
Frank abruptly replied toward Clive, “Did you just tell me to fuck off?!”
King Anthor was taken back Frank had never talked to him this way in all their years together.

“Of course not Frank what's going on?!”
Frank walked towards Clive, forgetting to pull his sword out of the ground.
“Donkey did you just tell me to fuck off?” Frank repeated.
“Holy shit did this guy just hear my thoughts?!” Thought Clive.
Frank replied, “Holy shit how is this possible I think I can understand you if you can understand what I am saying stop your back left hoof.”
Clive confused as to how this was happening thought in reply, “Nope not going to fall for that, your gonna think I can understand you and then I can't get away.” Clive turned and started walking away trying to ignore Frank trying to find an exit.
Frank replied,”So you can hear me” Frank leaned down and picked up a stone from the ground. “I tell you what I am going to throw this stone as hard as I can and hit you on the left ass cheek you dumb ass Donkey if you don’t want to get hit youll jump out the way.”
Frank Tossed the Stone as hard as he could. King Anthor next to him wondering if Frank had gone crazy talking to a Donkey.
Clive suddenly jumped to the right. Narrowly missing getting hit with the rock as it crashed into the ground ~BOOM~ leaving a large impact crater where Clive was just standing. Clive whipped around and yelled towards Frank, “WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK WAS THAT FOR YOU ALMOST KILLED ME!”
Frank simply stared at Clive and exclaimed, “So you can understand me”
“God damn it! I was almost free!” Thought Clive. “Yes I can understand you, stop trying to kill me! How the hell can you understand me anyway I am not trying to talk with my mouth?”
Frank replied, “I am not sure the God of Destiny spoke to me and told me we are now connected and I…. I have….. I have to help you fulfill your…. Uh Destiny.”
After Dave regained consciousness everyone started to stare at Frank as he threw a stone causing the huge ~Boom~. Everyone thought he was going mad throwing a stone at a Donkey and then talking to it like the creature could understand him. Now he was going on about helping the Donkey fulfill his Destiny whatever happened must have turned him crazy.
King Anthor was very concerned for his old friend, “Frank are you alright what happened? Why are you trying to talk to the Donkey?”
Clive listened in and spoke towards Frank, “Haha no, I am leaving these people think you're crazy. This is my chance, you just stay there while I leave.”
Frank replied to King Anthon, “The God of Destiny spoke to me and confirmed this… Donkey is our hero”
“How the hell is a Donkey our hero?! It can’t even hold a sword?!” Replied King Anthon
“Your Majesty, The God of Destiny…spoke to me and has told me that the Donkey was given gifts to be the Hero.….. He also said my Destiny is to.. well he told me I am supposed to help this Donkey..”
“Why could you not just stay quiet and let me leave why do I have to be a fucking hero?!?” Clive replied obviously upset he couldn't escape from these people.
“I am just as unhappy about this as you but we need you Donkey uh Hero. I will help you on your journey and I guess we will have to fight together” Frank replied towards Clive not really sure how the hell they were going to survive.
King Anthon trusted Frank enough to take his word on what was going on. The other people in the Spire was a different story as they talked amongst themselves before someone asked Frank,
“Can you prove that he is the hero?”
Frank replied stone faced, “Well he did kick poor Quins head off easy enough and I wouldn’t discount the God of Destiny’s word from what I gather he could end this world if he so chose I am sure you all felt the immense oppressive power earlier that was his response to doubt.”
A few people shivered at the thought of the power that swept over them earlier not daring to question the source of that immense might. However one of the armored individuals, Mort , stepped forwards and asked Frank. “Can you prove it though? I mean all I see is you talking to a dumb donkey.”
As soon as Clive heard that, everyone heard Clive Hee Haw and spit towards Mort, then glance at Frank.
“Did he just call me a dumb Donkey? I am going to fucking kill him! What was your name big guy? Stank? Hold him down I am going to Kick his face in!”
Frank spoke towards Clive, “Calm down uh Hero he meant no harm he is just well we are all new to this whole thing.”
“Stop calling me hero, my name is Clive! How do we convince these idiots then? I am not doing tricks for them.. I would rather kick their heads off ” Clive responded smiling as he said the last part.
Frank shook his head not knowing how to convince these people, let alone the kingdom the hero, the one meant to save them all.. was a Donkey named Clive.
