《Nephilim: Beyond Good and Evil》Chapter 23: Development

Terios was close to his home when he came to a stop. Something felt different, he notice someone was trying hard to mask their energy though faint remains could still be sensed. He slowly turned around and looked behind him.
Someone's following me. Damn, I should have notice sooner.
"Come out! I know you're there." Terios demanded.
Revealing themselves they appeared from nowhere, standing across from Terios. The person was dressed in white robes and had glorious white wings; an Angel at its finest. Radiating from him was a pure divine energy.
"Terios Kiyomizu, Nephilim. I've been searching for you and now I've found you." The long blonde hair male spoke.
"…" Terios took a few steps back.
The Angel's gold eyes stared at the Nephilim and holding out his right hand forged a sword painted gold. It was a weapon forged in Heaven with the power to slay any race including a Nephilim.
"Since the one you call Yuki-sensei couldn't get the job done. I will have to finish you off myself." The Angel spoke.
"Don't be so sure.." He said while opening a shadow portal below, bending down to pull out one of his chokutos.
"Once I eliminate you then I'll pick off your friends and anyone related to you."
This set Terios off, he rushed at him, holding onto his lightweight sword as he swung it across. The blade clashed with the Angel's, but they both stood firm. One thing was certain this guy's strength was nothing to be taken lightly.
He gained the upper hand and shoved Terios back. Next, he swung his blade three times at the empty air and generated three light projectiles which traveled forward, darting through the air.
Leaping back, Terios avoided the first projectile and guarded against the second by swinging his blade against it to shatter the object. The last one however managed to cut him directly across his torso.
His body was burned and he grunted, holding onto the area which was struck. His guard was let down and the Angel took advantage of this, closing the distance and bringing his blade directly down upon Terios.
"Huh!?" Terios parried at the last moment, causing sparks to fly between their blades as he struggled to keep the metal off of his flesh.
"Your very existence is changing the course of history. The arrival of Nephilim only means that the world will continue to go through tragedy." The Angel announced.
"What tragedies?" Terios asked.
"Destruction. That's all you'll ever cause."
This angered Terios, causing him to force the Angel back before thrusting his blade in continuation. The Angel blocked and blocked again when Terios went in for another strike.
"You're wrong! Not all of us will cause destruction. All I want to do is live my life. The best I can and you're making it hard!"

Terios was pushed back by an angered Angel, falling onto his back. As the Angel approached he attempted one more swing with his blade, but the winged being knocked it away with his very own sword.
His blade inched towards the face of the Nephilim, gently poking his cheek, causing blood to spill from it.
"You won't heal from this. This blade is a holy weapon which can negate your healing."
"…"
Is this it? Is this how I'll die...? Just when things were getting good.
Terios closed his eyes and clenched his fists, thinking of someway to get out of this horrid situation. Before the Angel could impale him, a purple crescent sliced through the air and marked itself on the chest of the Angel who sprayed his warm blood while staggering back.
"What the...?" The Angel questioned shockingly.
Terios used this distraction to summon various shadows which quickly bound the white winged man up tightly, wrapping around his arms and legs and started to squeeze him firmly.
"That attack it came from.."
A portal appeared beside Terios and exiting from it was none other then Setsuna who carried her scythe with her. She glanced over to Terios before looking over toward the Angel. She started to slowly approach it while talking.
"I told you Teri-kun... I could help you with whatever was bothering you."
"Setsuna..."
When she came close to the winged being she slowly reached a hand out to it, placing it on his face before caressing it. "This is an Angel? This was what had you so worried?" She asked while the winged one struggled.
"Y-yeah."
"Don't worry... it won't bother you anymore. I'll make sure of it." She said while keeping her hand on the being's face. She remained completely still while her fingers dug into the creature's flesh. The being cried out in pain and continued to struggle, but there was no hope for it.
She was draining the creature of its life energy; it's soul to be clear. Soon veins would show on its face as well as on hers. Its divine energy was transferring over into her. Terios had seen this before and looked away.
When enough time went by the Angel released a ethereal shape from its mouth and soon it would travel into the mouth of the soul eater before she removed her hand from its lifeless corpse.
"Is it over...?" Terios asked.
"It is." She answered before walking over to him.
"Thanks for saving me."
"You're welcome, Teri-kun. I hope I showed you that I can be of use to you. These Angels won't touch you when I'm around. And.. I want to be around more."
What should I do? Getting her involved in this war isn't something I want to force her to do. If I say no she'll get mad at me. Either way I don't seem to get a break.

"Tch look at this. Hogging all of the fun from me?" Akemi mentioned, startling Terios.
"Huh? Akemi?" Terios glanced back at him from behind.
"I don't know what's been up with you lately, but Setsuna's been all moody. It's a real pain, y'know? So just let her help."
"You don't know what this'll mean for her."
"Teri-kun..." Setsuna whispered.
"Judging from how things went down. She's a lot stronger than you if she had to come and save your sorry ass." Akemi insulted him while giving off a smirk.
"Fine... I guess it wouldn't be wise to just leave you out."
"You mean it?" Setsuna asked.
"Yeah."
"Might as well count me in. I don't have much going on." Akemi said while crossing his arms.
"You really want to help too?" Terios faced him.
"Are you deaf? I'm not doing it for you or anything. I just feel like killin' shit."
"I guess it was foolish of me to try and do this myself. Maybe with the three of us working together and my other friends we might be able to fix things."
"You have friends?" Akemi shot the final insult.
The next morning, Terios along with Akemi and Setsuna took a trip to Kodomo's house where introductions were performed. They informed the two of the other Nephilims and how dangerous they were and what their main goal was.
"Now that we have that settled. Let's move onto your training, Terios." Kodomo stated.
"You see bro, the three of us will be training you everyday in three special areas." Ira went on. "I'll be helping you improve your abilities. Kodomo here will help you work on your extrasensory gifts and Eli will train your physical capabilities."
"Sounds reasonable."
"Yeah, we're not going to take it easy on you though so get ready." Eli said.
The first training session was with Eli, deep within the woods. Eli was a police officer so he'd probably be a good instructor. Not knowing what to prepare for, Terios awaited his orders.
"We'll be improving your strength. First I want you to carry this rock and run four laps around here." Eli said while pointing to a giant mass of rock he had found.
"Are you... crazy? I can't even lift that! Let alone run with it!"
"Not with that attitude. Back at the police academy I was broken before I was made. You won't ever be as strong as me, but I can get you pretty close."
"Oh man... four laps?"
"For today. Each day we'll increase it by two extra laps."
Terios wanted to cry and wondered if this was worth the world. He sighed before he went over to the rock and lifted it up, just barely. His arms shook violently as he struggled to keep it up.
"Alright, march! I'll run with you to motivate you!"
And they were off, Eli ran behind Terios who was running sluggishly while holding onto that heavy rock that probably weighed more than him. Sweat was already being secreted from his forehead and he was shown panting harshly.
"Come on Terios! You can do it! Don't think of how long the laps are just think how good you'll feel when you finish!"
"I'm going to die...!" Terios cried.
It took Terios four hours to make it around four times. After constantly taking breaks, dropping the rock and passing out he finally managed to finish. Once he was done he simply laid on a patch of grass, sweating profoundly.
"You did it! I knew you could and it only took you!" He checked his phone and gave a surprised expression. "Four hours...?"
"Aggggggggghhhhhhhhhh!" Terios complained.
Next on the menu was training his extrasensory abilities. Kodomo stood by the pond with Terios and Akari. He wrapped a black blindfold over his face and then he started.
"For this training you'll tell me how many fingers I'm holding up." Kodomo said.
"Sounds easy enough."
Kodomo held up a single finger infront of his face and asked. "How many?"
"Three."
"Wrong."
"Two?"
"Wrong."
"One?"
"Ding, correct."
"Hmmm."
"Now I want you to focus. Are you focusing?"
"I am..."
"Good. Now focus on the certain clothing fabric known as underwear."
Akari shot Kodomo a glance, confused to what he was getting at.
"What?"
"Don't question me, just focus."
"Ok... underwear... underwear...."
"Girl's underwear."
"Panties...?"
"Panties."
"Why am I focusing on panties...?"
"Just focus."
"Ok..."
"Now imagine a wonderful sweet smelling pair of black laced panties."
"This is getting weird..."
"Imagine those perfect panties snugged around a girl's tender frame. Just waiting to be pulled down."
"…"
"Now tell me... what color are Akari's panties?'
"Whhhhhhhaaaat!?"
Akari snapped as she kicked Kodomo in the chin multiple times before running him off.
"Kodomo you idiot!" She shouted.
"Hey. Stop. That hurts."
That training didn't seem to go as Terios had hoped. Either way the final thing to do was ability training. Ira came out to the bond and began teaching a basic lesson.
"I don't really read the bible bro, but you know the famous tale of Jesus walking on water?" Ira asked.
"Yes."
"Well we're going to walk on freaking water dude. So chill." Ira took a single step onto the pond, his feet defying the natural laws and appeared to stand on it as if it was solid.
"How did you manage that?"
"By focusing your chi young grasshopper, you can do anything."
"Focus my chi..."
"Focus it into your feet and then prepare to become Jesus."
Terios closed his eyes as he focused his energy into his feet, feeling this he smiled as he applied one foot into the pond and then... instantly sunk to the bottom.
"Uhhhm. Terios?"
