The group decided to continue going through the cave in the same order they started in. Felix shot another Hellfire spell down deeper into the cave to see if there was anything up ahead before they continued, and the group decided to take the torches off the walls so they could have a light source. Brandon suggested that Ava and Felix carry a torch since they have free hands. Everyone else needed both hands readily available to fight when the time came for it. They agreed, and once Felix said it was clear they continued through the cave.

The path continued to twist and turn for several minutes until they finally hit a fork in the road. Felix, who was leading the group, decided to take a right, so the rest of the group followed suit. After about another 5 minutes of walking Felix stopped the group again, and Cillian began to growl just like before they hit the lighted area. Felix could see goblins coming towards him, but Cillian was growling towards the direction they just came from.

It appeared that goblins would be coming at the group from both sides. So, Felix, and Brandon both got into their fighting stance to prepare for battle.

"Hey Cass." Brandon said as he turned his head towards her. "Do you want to earn some extra exp?"

Cass nodded, and Brandon crouched down low to the ground holding his shield in front of him so Cass could shoot over his head.

Cass started with 500 arrows in her inventory and she technically only used one which was on the boar since all the arrows she used in the tutorial were replenished. With 499 arrows left she wasn't too worried about wasting them, but she wasn't sure how she'd get more.

Cass decided she'd wait until she could see the enemy before shooting. Even though it was dark the torch Ava was holding gave off just enough light for her eyes to adjust. She saw one approaching them and let out two arrows in quick succession striking it down

This was actually the first time she had received a notification for defeating a monster. She only was able to level up because she still received EXP from her party members kills even if she didn't participate in the fight.

Cass received the notification Goblin defeated: +25 EXP 56/200. "Oh yeah!" Cass shouted as she was filled with excitement from seeing this notification.

On the other side of the group Felix was busy fighting off his own opponents. With a torch in his left hand, he was struggling a little to fight with just the one hand.

"Oh shit!" He mumbled under his breathe. How did I get myself into this situation."

Felix stood his ground with a long line of goblins standing in front of him. He couldn't see how far the line went, but there were more then ten of them. Thankfully, they could only attack him one at a time, but they just came one right after the other that he didn't get a second to breathe.

He struck the one in front of him a couple times with a right hook, and managed to kill it, but the next one managed to get a hit on him.

He saw his HP drop down to 48/55. Felix wasn't wearing any actual armor, just this gi which gave him an extra agility boost, but that wouldn't do him any good in a situation like this. He managed to hit the second goblin twice in a row without taking anymore hits, but the next one didn't charge him; instead it shot him with a short bow, and his HP went down again.

"Ahhhh!!" Felix screamed in frustration, and used his Hellfire spell on the goblin while charging it. Once he got close he finished it off with another right hook. Unfortunately, the next goblin in the line managed to cut him with a dagger.

"My HP's almost half-way gone." Felix shouted towards the group behind him. "Tenjin, I'll need you to take over in a second." He managed to take out the goblin who had cut him, but took another blow from the goblin behind that one.

"Alright I'll take over!" Tenjin shouted as he activated his angelic wings, and came down on the goblin who had just attacked Felix from above putting himself between the goblin and Felix as Felix retreated towards the group.

"Don't worry, I can heal you." Ava shouted as she saw Felix running back towards her.

As Felix approached Ava held out her wand in front of her and chanted the words Nature's Gift once Felix stood right in front of here.

When Felix heard Ava utter those words he saw a white flower bud grow out of her wand, and as it bloomed flower petals began pouring out of it, and drifting towards him. When the flower petals reached him his whole body felt like it had just been hit by a cool breeze. It was a refreshing feeling, and he saw his HP go up by five points.

"Woah, that's awesome!" Felix stated with amazement at the new ability Ava had acquired. "I didn't know you could do that!"

"Thanks!" Ava said a little embarrassed by his sudden outburst of praise. "I just learned it when I leveled up. I figured it would come in handy."

"That was a really smart idea Ava." Felix stated again still amazed by her new ability.

Ava cracked smile while she continued to cast Nature's Gift on Felix to restore his HP to full. She had to cast it on him six times to completely restore his HP costing her 30 MP, but once she stopped casting it only took a second for her MP to slowly start restoring itself.

Meanwhile towards the back of the group Brandon and Cass were still dealing with their fair share of goblin troubles.

Cass had managed to take down the second goblin without any trouble, but the third one managed to get close enough to Brandon that she didn't have a clear shot before she could shoot off another arrow.

Brandon managed to block the goblins attack with his shield and drove his sword through its stomach, then with his sword still in the goblin he managed to lift if up by pressing his shield against the goblins body, and pushing it upwards. "Take it out Cass!" Brandon shouted while he was struggling to lift it above his head.

Cass saw the goblin impaled on Brandon's sword, with part of its body lying across Brandon's shield. She had never been so close to her prey before that she could look it in the eyes before she killed it.

She starred into its eyes. She saw the dark green iris's of the goblin, and it started back at her as it snarled and tried to scratch at her with its small claws.

"Come on Cass! I can't do this forever!" Brandin demanded while he continued to struggle to hold the goblin up. "I'm in a pretty vulnerable position you know! If another goblin comes along it'll be able to attack me without any problems."

Cass snapped back into her senses, and drew back her bow carefully aiming it right at the goblins head. She looked into its eyes one last time, then released the arrow. As it flew towards the goblin she still maintained eye contact with it, and she swore she could see the look of fear in its eyes right before the arrow pierced its head.

Once the arrow hit Brandon felt the goblins body go limp, and immediately tossed it in front of him. The goblin's body fell to the ground limp, and Brandon took a couple deep breathes before returning into his defensive stance waiting to see if anymore goblins would come.

While it seemed like Barndon and Cass's fight was over for now it was a different story for the other three. Felix and Tenjin were still taking on goblins while Ava focused on healing them. Tenjin managed to kill about five before his HP was almost half-way gone.

He wasn't as fast as Felix was, but he had a hired constitution, and a spell that increased his defense along with armor and a shield. Even though the hit Tenjin more often then Felix he still managed to take more of them out since their strength was about equal.

"Alright let's switch out!" Tenjin suggested while flying over Felix to make room for him to rush to the front so he could take over for him. "My angelic wings won't last too much longer."

"Can't you just deactivate them or something?" Ava asked wondering if he had tried that already while healing him with Nature's Gift.

"No, it doesn't work like that." He explained. "I can only activate them once a day, so if I stop using them they'll go to waste."

Felix continued to punch and kick every goblin that approached him, but this time he had an easier time moving since he decided to drop his torch on the ground before rushing to take on the hoard of goblins the second time. He managed to kill five more goblins when suddenly he noticed that he had received a notification that he had leveled up to level 3.

The last notification he saw was; Goblin defeated; +25 EXP, 122/400. He also noticed that he HP wasn't as low as he thought it would be. He still had 36 hit points left, but he expected it to be lower. He chalked it up to leveling up probably restored some of his HP since they received +5 every time they leveled up.

Felix didn't really have time to think about this since there were still goblins coming towards him, but he could see the end of the line now. There were only three more left, but he decided to let Tenjin finish them off.

They switched out one last time, and Tenjin was easily able to defeat the last three while only taking a couple hits.

Ava had finished restoring Felix's HP to full, and moved on to heal Tenjin as well.

The group decided to backtrack to the room they were in earlier, and take a short break while they distributing their available stat and skill points.
