《Choose 3 (Dropped)》Ch 5 - To Restore Your Pride

Back at the fountain, 207 appeared in a ray of light.
[207] "AAAAAAH."
...screaming his lungs out.
[207] "**** that ******* hurt! I'll kill that *******!"
His outburst caused all the others at the fountain to look at him in alarm.
"Boss are you okay? What happened?"
After taking deep breaths and calming down, 207 still didn't addressed his guild mates. Instead he took 5 more minutes to think about what he had just done while in the lotus position. When he was finally ready he opened his eyes, breathed a deep breath out, and addressed his guild members.
[207] "I'm fine, just a little hurt in my pride. Did you find any interesting information while I was gone?"
"Screw the information, he just killed you didn't he? We have to teach him a lesson! 351 get Group A back. 192 do you know which group the tracker is in?"
[192] "For clarification, his magic is pathfinder not tracker. And yes, he should be with Group A practicing his magic."
[351] "They're asking where they should meet up. And they have the pathfinder with them."
"Great, tell them to meet me at the south gate."
[192] "Do you want us to gather the other groups as well?"
The reason that they were able to contact the warriors so fast is because they were never disconnected. 207 had set up the system so that 4 of the people at the fountain were always in a friend chat with the other groups. Because the creatures around the village were so weak, the warriors and mages had split into 4 groups with 2 warriors and mages in each.
"No, it's just one person. It's better to have them continue farming."
[207] "I appreciate the gesture 461, but there's no need to go to these lengths. Millions of players will be joining after the beta and we'll probably never see him again. Besides, I was being too pushy and was trying to get without giving." Looks at the ground in regret. "Guess I was too excited with this new game." Sighs. Mumbles under his breath, "Grandpa was right."

[461] "That's why we have to get him now! This will be our only chance." (Doesn't hear the mumbles.)
207 Holds up his hands in a sign of surrender.
[207] "If you want to go after him I won't stop you. But I won't be part of it. As my grandfather always says 'It's not a mistake to make a mistake, but it's a mistake to repeat the same mistake.' I'll stay here and look over the data you guys have gathered."
[351] "Group A is 30 minutes from the south gate."
[461] "97 make sure to restrain him when he responds, this shouldn't take too long."
461 then turns and leaves towards the south gate.
[461] 'Crap I forgot to ask 207 how he died. But if I turn around now, I'll look uncool.' Mentally shrugs. 'Guess I'll just leave the fighting to the warriors.'
When he was about to reach the south gate, 461 heard a strange noise before rounding the corner. When he rounded the corner he didn't notice anything except for a strange marking on the ground. While he waited for Group A, he called 207 for confirmation.
[461] "I found a pentagram at the south gate. Is this where you died?"
[207] "Yeah, that's where I died. I was..."
[461] "Thanks, bye." Ends the call. 'What to do? What to do? How can I impress Group A?' Starts pacing back and forth. 'If this is 207's death marker, that means that this is the last place he saw the traitor. We're going to have to start tracking him from here. But how should I wait? Should I lean against the wall? No, that's too thug looking. Should I sit against the wall? No, that'd look lazy.' 461 continues to worry about his image while pacing back and forth. And while he was pacing, he heard the strange noise again.

The sound 461 heard was 349's spell circle. The circle's trigger was set to charge. This didn't mean that the circle would fire once and be done. This meant that the circle would continue to charge by taking mana from the air (or someone willingly providing it) and unleashing the spell at its' maximum potential.
Unfortunately for 461, he thought that the spell circle was a death marker and meant no harm. 461 had one foot in and one foot out as he leaving the circle again, so he didn't die right away. Instead of dying instantly like 207, his remaining hp dropped off slowly from having the burn status.
You have been killed.

Live by the Sword
--Follow a bandit prone to making poor choices in life. He lives in a somewhat medieval age where steel is king, blood is shed fairly lightly, and weakness gets you punished fast. But that's okay. As long as he has his sword, he'll be fine. Right? --This story is tragic and contains some depictions of violence and nudity. The attitudes of the characters don't represent my views and some of them are highly questionable. Due to these reasons, I've flagged the story as adult content. --I've been working on Live by the Sword since as far back as 2012 and it is my first actual effort at completing a book. Maybe I'll stick with it and there will be paperbacks of it some day. Who knows. Either way, I hope the words I tell give you amusement and perhaps some cause to think. Cheers.

I, Paladin (an urban fantasy novel)
I was born and raised in Guthrie, Oklahoma—a town with 10,000 people. Mama runs a vintage diner inherited from family and the farthest I’ve been from home is a thirty-minute car ride to Oklahoma City. It's been a traditional middle-America upbringing. Until I have to defend myself from a vampire at sixteen. Suddenly, life is fight training, classes about monsters, and possessing a power I don’t understand or know the origin of—all made more complicated by a crush on my instructor, Agent Thirteen. I don’t want any of this, but The Agency promises to pay Mama’s medical bills and making sure she’s taken care of always comes first. It’s only been the two of us for years. Becoming a paladin means sacrifice.

I Am Not A Humanity's Traitor (Isekai LitRPG)
Ren is a reincarnated person. His new world had the same name as his old one, Earth. But that was the extent of the resemblances. Ren has a skill as well, or at least he was told he did, but he had no inkling of how to use it. He was disheartened at first but his goal wasn't the path to power, all he wanted from this world was to continue the peaceful life, but the world didn't even provide him with that. A luminous pillar descended upon him and one of his classmates. Goddess Helastia, one of the most revered goddess, called them to herself, probably not a good news. However, there, he finds that a group of heroes has been summoned from his past world to confront the Devils that will be rising soon. But contrary to his assumption of being a hero himself, she referred to him as a reincarnated imposter. She labeled both of them as Humanity's Traitors and sends them into a dungeon where they were supposed to live. That is, with their masters and comrades, the Devils and their minions. The monsters in the dungeon were not likely to accept them as allies, instead, they were out to devour the delicacies that appeared in their home. Only despair awaited them. ---------------------------------------------------------- This novel is inspired from Neets's parallel world syndrome, Abnormal state skill and bunch of other jp novels, this is also my first time writing a web novel. Also English isn't my native language, so, sorry in advance. The pic in the cover is taken from pixabay and edited by me.
