"I said to please choose your magics. You can choose any three from the list."

"No no no. Stop. This is all wrong."

"What do you find wrong?"

"This is the beta of the newest VR. Furthermore this should be the character creation stage. Everyone knows that the character creation stage is suppose to take place in an endless void of either white or black." Pauses to take a deep breath. "SO WHY THE **** ARE WE IN AN OFFICE?!"

It's just as he said. Jack was sitting in a chair across from a woman in business attire sitting behind a large desk in a relatively small office.

"To put it simply, it's just as you stated, this is the beta. The higher ups plan to make the intro more exciting, but didn't see the need to apply it to the beta."

Mumbles "Way to get my hopes up."

"I'm sorry what was that?"

Sighs "Nothing."

"Very well, now please choose your magics."

"Aren't I suppose to choose a name first?"

"No. All beta testers are given numerical values to represent their identities while in game."

"..."

"Now, would you please choose your magics? I still have 67 more beta testers to see."

Sigh "Fine fine. Where did you say the list was?"

"It's on the desk to your right."

Picking up the list, Jack once again burst out.

"The **** is this?"

"That is the list of magics known in the game."

"There's nothing on the list! It's just a sheet of blank boxes!"

"That is because the beta has yet to open. Once the beta starts you will be given basic instruction manuals about the magics you've chosen. Once the beta is over, all the magics and races that were discovered will be available to the public."

"What's the point of that?"

"I apologize, I can't tell you anymore than that."

"...Fine, I choose these three."
