《New World +》Ch.26 A Simple Moment

Leaving his little hut Andrew walked out in and experienced what he could only described as culture shock as he watched the rapid and chaotic movements going on around him. He understood immediately why he was able to have his own house even though there were sure to have been many injured from the dragon attack. all around him where huts organized and well made with hanging gardens on them and around them there was even a rudimentary road of packed dirt slightly elevated and leading to clay troughs that lead to the many gardens and wells around the newly made town.
"How did all of this get made in three days?" Andrew felt flabbergasted as he looked around moving out of the housing area he moved to what he thought was the fields and was equally surprised by the fairly large fields and the large river that ran parallel to them it seemed that the town proper was about half a mile out from the river Andrew figured it was a measure against flooding. Moving down to the river and the fields around it he saw some people fishing by the river.
"How's it going catch anything wait is there even anything to catch?" Andrew asked as he grew closer walking up to greet the fisherman Andrew recognised Lance and Daved as well as Kyle how Andrew hadn't seen much of since that first day.
"Holy shit!" Kyle shouted as the three noticed Andrew approach "He's alive!" Kyle's loud exclamation got him a slap from Daved.
"Shut up man you'll scare the fish away." Daved hissed out as Lanced started to elbow his side, grumbling Daved took something from his pocket and gave it to Lance before turning his attention back to the river.
"Do I want to know what that was about or not?" Andrew asked as he sat next to the three of them.

"Probably not" Lance answered as he counted out what Andrew now saw was monopoly money.
"Don't you guys have better things to do then bet on people's lives?" Andrew asked sighing as Lance shrugged to answer "Honestly I don't know what to be more upset about that you only bet fifty bucks or the fact that you even have fifty bucks in monopoly money means that someone in our group has the kids version of monopoly."
"if you want something to really be upset about, how about the fact that people brought string and hooks but no one has a fishing rod. You can make string and hooks out of almost anything trying to make a good fishing rod from sticks and rocks is like ... well I don't really know what its like but its not pleasant that's for sure." Daved muttered angrily.
"What's his problem?" Andrew whispered to Lance.
"Hasn't been his day for catching fish if you get my meaning." Lance whispered back "Also he's down fifty bucks thanks to a cuerten adventures cripple, got to hand it to you though even I figured you'd be out for another day or two glad I low balled ..." Lance stopped half way as Daveds elbow landed heavily in his stomach. "Motherfucker why!!!" Lance choked out as he clutched his gut.
"That's not a funny joke." Daved replied.
"What joke!" Lance yelled.
"How are you holding up Andrew no pain I hope." Daved continued ignoring Lance as he did.
"Not bad hand still burns but that's going to go away supposedly." Andrew replied while waving his stump.
"OH right the hand sorry man." Lance apologised as Andrew shrugged it off.
"By the way why are you fishing out here like this wouldn't it be easier to just make a fish trap and then come back in a few hours?" Andrew asked trying to divert the topic.

"No they have those set up a whiles down for here were doing this for the fun of it." Daved Answered the question as he picked up one of the poorly made fishing rods and cast it's line back out into the river.
"I see." Andrew said as he turned a questioning eye to Lance that had just smacked his hand in to his face.
"So are they normally this dense or are they just in rare form today." Kyle asked Lances how simply shaked his head Daved almost always Andrew usually keeps on his toes maybe to on his toes?"... "Hey Andrew are you air headed?" Lance asked Andrew turned and glared at Lance as the boy tried to explain himself "Well you know what I meant when I said he had trouble fishing didn't apply to this right?"
"Yes I'm not an idiot." Andrew replied still glaring.
"Oh well why did you ..." Lance started before being interrupted.
"Because I wanted to know I can be curious about actual fishing you know." Andrew finished Lance just had a confused look on his face but shrugged it of. "Any way I wanted to know whats been going on in town while I was gone how did everything get to this level so quickly?"
"It's not that surprising I could just say magic but I think you'd probably hit me if I did still its not a really bad explanation using the magic circle that Lee pieced together and the magic stones that can be mined in the mountains constructing things is much easier and goes by much faster the first day you were out Lee and some of the others tried a bunch of things and the next day we were using them to build shit you should see the furnaces they've made for when we find iron it's pretty crazy." Kyle answered "Honestly I don't even understand half of how it works but apparently not knowing something isn't a limiting factor I think Lee compared it to flying or riding a bike people don't really understand why it works just that it does get it?"
"Probably." Andrew answered with a shrug. "But you answered more than I asked there." Andrew finished as he got up and started to walk away.
"Hey were you going." Daved asked as Andrew started to move.
"To meet with Lee he probably has more answers then you three stooges do." Andrew aswerd
"Well if you meet with Don tell him I would like to talk with him when hes got the time ok? Daved asked Andrew nodded in reply before walking off again.

The Good Necromancer
Hundreds of years ago, shortly after the Great Cataclysm which destroyed the Ancient World, was the Age of Heroes. One of these great heroes started off in the most hated profession of the time, Necromancer. Join him and his comrades as they accomplish the first of the Good Necromancers legendary tasks. ***** So, quick update for those who pay attention to this section. I'm finally coming out of finals for this semester, and I plan on getting the whole already posted section revised. It's taken me a while to change the necessary things, as I had to start all the way over, but I've at least got the rough drafts for all the revised chapters. These should be going up within the next week or so, still have to go to work, but I am here, I haven't forgotten or dropped the story. Just trying to make this the best work that I can produce. P.S. I will be releasing additional stories. They are all going to be in the Good Necromancer world, however the others will give you an idea on how humans in other locations survived and have thrived. Or not. =)

The Villain's Double Life
“The Villain’s Double Life as the Hero’s Mentor," “Demon Nobles Want to Live Too: A Hero-Raising Simulator for the Transmigrated Villain," “Just Because I’m a Villain Doesn’t Mean I Want the World to End!” Cyrus Calvide was the second son of an aristocratic lord; haughty, vain and power-hungry. One day, when his ancestral inheritance manifested, he discovered he was able to steal other’s powers and abilities using demonic magic. Taking this as a sign that he was destined to rule over others and become the new king of this land, he poisoned his father, killed his elder brother, and embarked on the path to greatness, taking advantage of a demonic invasion to consolidate power and harvest the abilities of others in a cruel and bloody fashion. Until he was summarily defeated by the Hero as a mid-game boss battle and executed for his crimes, of course. When a dedicated fan of the RPG “Next to Eden” awakened in the body of the cruelest future Count, four years before the beginning of the game, he pledged to live humbly. He would let his brother lead and support the Hero from the shadows to ensure the demon invasion would be defeated and he could enjoy life in peace. Rather, he would have, if he hadn’t gotten the Hero’s mentor killed in a freak monster attack before the Hero’s training could even begin. How was he supposed to live a life of peace and luxury if the Hero couldn’t stop the end of the world!? Donning a mask, Cyrus took up mentoring the Hero himself; how hard could it possibly be? . . . Four years later, the kind jack-of-all-trades hero Leon had become a twisted powerhouse: alienating his party members, clearing enemy encounters in a single magical blast, and coldly ignoring the affections of the girl whose love would have allowed him to clear the final boss. He seemed to have plastered himself to his Master’s side, instead. Cyrus bit back his despair while the hero reached out to grasp his hand. “Please stop ignoring the saint, Leon; you can't beat the Demon King by grinding stats! You need the power of love, remember?” “Don’t worry, Master,” Leon smiled as he traced the lines of Cyrus’s palm gently, almost reverently. “I have all the love I need.” VDL is two parts plot and worldbuilding, one part slow-build gay romance, starring a man far too proud to admit he's in over his head and the hero who loves him. Should be updating weekly.
