《The Kingdom》Day 3- His name

"Come sit with us. Azzard."
The young man woke up and found himself in a bed. He could hear the neighing of horses and the chatter of people. He thought that this wasn't the town because most of the people were already dead except the children. He noticed that his upper torso was bandaged. As to why he became that way, he recollected last night's events.
-The young man saw his opportunity to save the child now that the man who held her had died. He stood up amongst all the commotion and ran to the little girl. He wanted the girl to be taken away from the altar since she could be hit by an arrow. When he arrived near the girl, he told her "It's gonna be alright. I will protect you." Momentarily the little girl stopped weeping. While the young man was busy comforting the little girl, he could not see that a man had come from behind him. It was already too late to do anything and the sword struck his back and lodged itself comfortably causing blood to flow out continuously. -
As he recalled his memories from last night, he touched his wound only to find out that it was completely healed. "Maybe someone healed me last night with divine magic", he thought.
A voice had broken his thoughts and he turned towards the source. There she was, Leila Whiteknight. She was looking at him intently as if he was a person to be wary of. "Something must have happened last night."
"Oh, you woke up. It's already past noon. Come on let's eat. We have food.", Leila said. The young man followed her out. The armored knights around him had the same reaction as Leila. They were all intently staring at him. "What happened last night?", he asked Leila. Leila stopped walking and turned around to look at him.

"I don't know. What I saw was a mystery. When you were lying down on the ground bleeding, lightning started to fill the sky." The young man listened intently.
"After that, lightning struck you 5 times. We thought you were dead but when we came near. You were starting to heal at an astonishing rate." The young man was shocked. Lightning may had help his body cells to rapidly regenerate, it was only a theory though.
"So that's why all of you were staring at me. You must think of me as a monster.", the young man said sadly.
"We don't. We're just amazed at what happened and we don't know how to take it all in.", Leila denied. The conversation stopped there and they went to get food.
As the young man sat down at the table, Leila suddenly remembered something. "By the way, what's your name?"
That question lingered on the young man's mind for a couple of seconds. He didn't know his name at all but he suddenly remembered the dream he had. He couldn't make out the people's faces but he recalled that they had called out to him. It looked so real that he thought that those were his memories and his name so he answered Leila. "My name is Azzard."
