《HP The Birth Of Darkness》Chapter 26

After finishing the history of magic class I go to the dining room for lunch, then I plan to go to the library before the potions class with Professor Horace, today it seems that we will create our first potion
While I have lunch in the school canteen, the same routine that has happened in the last month happens again
The students of the Slytherin house run away from me like a plague, I think that a month after classes started I still have not had any conversation with a Slytherin student who is not a prefect.
"But what an honor to have with us today the famous Alexander Gaunt, hey Alexander, have you already found a distant cousin to marry or is it that the Gaunt family lineage will end with you? Hahahaha"
I almost forgot, if there is a Slytherin student talking to me, Andre Rosier, a freshman, the typical boastful and annoying idiot
I sense that he received instructions to mess with me, during my stay at Hogwarts he has been constantly harassing me with nonsense, using a lot of sarcasm and saying hurtful things in search of getting me angry,
I have faced him several times and have warned him to stop bothering me if he doesn't want to suffer the consequences.
He seems like he doesn't understand what he's up against, I'll have to take drastic measures ...
While I smiled I gave him a disinterested look at him.
"Andre, I think I have been clear repeatedly that you better stop bothering me or we will have problems, a week ago I thought I had been clear enough with you that that would be the last time you would bother me again, it seems you did not understand"
As I grabbed the last piece of chicken with my hand, I got up from the table to leave
Andre got a little confused about what he should do.
I wonder what exactly who instructed this idiot to annoy me though, I could at least find more ingenious ways ...

Nor do I detract from him for sending it, because he did manage to annoy me
Looks like I'll have to put plan A to work
There will be a change of plans for today, before going to the library I will first go to my bedroom to find what I need to fulfill my goal
After walking through the corridors, he came to the door of the Slytherin house and I said the password "CRAFTY"
when I entered the common room I see a girl sitting in an armchair reading a book, we both looked at each other for a moment and then I continued in the direction of my room
Once inside my room I put away my book and grabbed the potions book from my trunk, then I proceeded to move the mattress of the bed that was attached to the wall on the left, slightly lift the sheet on the left side of the mattress, and on it, there was a small hole, from that hole I took out the wand that was hidden, this was the wand that belonged to Morfin
Then I put the mattress back in its place, as it was at the beginning and I leave my room
Outside my room I can see that the girl is still sitting on the couch, I don't give it much importance and I keep walking to the exit
I'm on my way to the library
After about 10 minutes I was able to arrive
"Good afternoon," I said to the librarian who just glanced at me as she continued reading her book
An interesting old woman, I come to the library almost every day and I have never seen her without a book in her hand, she is always reading something, plus she spends most of the day sitting at her desk
After walking away through the shelves, I look for a lonely place with a chair and a table to do my next step.

3 weeks ago I realized that I had to find a root solution to the problem with Andre because speaking you cannot solve the problems, I also believe that it is necessary to send a message to the wizard thoroughbred families
You don't fuck with me
I investigated Andre as I could for information that will be useful to me and could use against him
I found what I needed
The next step was how to use that information to harm him
Committing a crime in Hogwart is not difficult, the really difficult thing is that they do not find out that it was you who did it
So after analyzing the situation and investigating some things I thought of the following plan
The most critical step was to learn the delussion enchantment that allows camouflaging with the environment as if it were invisibility but of low quality
I spent two weeks practicing many hours to complete the spell, but in the end, I succeeded
The normal spell is as I had said, it is a kind of poor quality invisibility if you are still it is most likely that most people do not notice you, perhaps the most observant may feel that there is something wrong but in general terms, they do not there should be problems
But thanks to my manipulation of magical energy I can inject more energy into the spell and thus increase its power
I have done some tests and the effect is much better than expected, it does not reach the point of being totally invisible but it is very difficult for people to notice me even if I pass near them
I have also studied the teachers and their routes, usually, they are in their classrooms or in their offices, depending on the teacher they can make some rounds of surveillance through the corridors in the day, which is quite rare really
After waiting about 5 minutes in silence and seeing that no one was passing by my position, I decided to start the plan
With the Morphin wand, I say the enchantment "delussion" then injected more energy than required by the spell in order to make it more powerful
After doing some testing, I was able to determine that I can sustain the spell for between 30 minutes and 1 hour, which should be long enough for what I plan to do.
Moments after performing the enchantment I begin to disappear and it is time to start my plan
I leave the library and go back to the Slytherin dorms while walking calmly through the corridors I passed some students who did not notice my presence
After a while I arrived, I am in front of the entrance of the Slytherin house, I plan to wait for a few minutes for a student to enter or leave the common room so I can enter
I can afford to wait a few minutes, the spell continues to consume my magic but at a slow pace
But I don't want to delay 1 hour out here either, if nobody comes in the next few minutes I'll go in alone
After about five minutes of waiting, no Slytherin students left or entered, I have to make the decision to enter alone
I say the password and proceed to enter, in the common room there is still the girl with the book who frowns when she sees that the door closed and no one entered
She seems like she didn't pay much attention to that as she continued with her book, walking slowly through the men's bedrooms to identify if there are more people near the scene.
I see some students but they don't represent any kind of problem
I got to Andre's room and it's time to start

Old Riding Author Lunatic Asylum
Just off the A19, in the dark, incomprehensible lands known as Yorkshire, there lies a town. A town where shadow-silent alleys glint with the secret hunger of knives. Where blood soaks the chipboard window shutters of forsaken terraces stretching off into the night. Where the smog-choked air rattles with the depraved laughter echoing out from clubs that can only generously be described as post-apocalyptic. Well, that’s Middlesbrough. But down the A19 a bit (an impossibly long way down, actually) there lies another town: Raughnen, in the ancient, forgotten Old Riding. It is an equal match in muggery and thuggery alike. It also has magic spells and pointy wizard hats. And now, across the miles and across all sensibilities, a pretty nasty power (a magic one) calls out for its pretty nasty counterpart (a decidedly unmagic one): a proper sound Boro lad. Nothing good can come of it. This is a collection of one novella and four connected short stories: I. A Yorkshire Summoning II. Old Riding Day Trip (the novella) III. Heaven is a Parmo IV. Death on the 66 V. Death on the 257 In total, this comprises 34 chapters totalling around 35,000 words, so try not to worry. It will be over relatively quickly. There are three more short stories with more tenuous links to the core collection: Rush, Paper Round and Scenario 79: Sausage Fingers, all of which can be found in my collection Short Records of Misadventure. Reading these may allow you to make more sense of certain parts of the story, if any sense is to be made at all. NOTE: There are instances of prejudice and discrimination within these stories, including elements of sexism and ageism, which are purely the thoughts and actions of the characters involved and which certainly do not reflect my own views on these matters. ANOTHER NOTE; A WARNING, PERHAPS: This can get a bit weird. In less than 150 pages, we have four viewpoints, first and third person narratives, and a completely disjointed plot with lots of gaps, dead ends and no real resolution. Also ZERO lunatic asylums. It's all a bit odd. If that sort of thing isn't your cup of tea, which it most likely isn't, it might be best to move on now.

The Chronicles of Artharian Dagworth
Back in 2020 there were many theories on how the world would end. From the many religions apocalypses, nuclear wars that would leave the planet inhabitable, global warming doing the same, biological weapons getting out of control, viruses mutating into unstoppable diseases to the dead raising to prey on humanity, either due to a virus or just because hell filled up. Also, aliens, from the war mongering kind to the ones so advanced they didn’t see us as more than worms. And of course there was the fail proof theory that the world would end when the sun died. In a bunch of billion years give or take. Althougth some new scientist were discussing if the end would be on the take side, since when the sun started dying things would go haywire on the entire solar system and we would collide with mercury or maybe mars way before the expanding sun engulfed earth. But I digress… Now, those were the mainstream theories that the everyday Joe, who didn’t know the big secret, worried about. So, if you were to ask me which theory was correct I can tell you that I haven’t seen any little green man, at least not from another planet, and so far the sun is still shining, although it’s been only 9 years since everything went to hell, not the few billions (give or take) the scientist predicted, so that one isn’t ruled out yet. These two aside, I'd say all of them. Hey everyone, this is my first attempt at writing. I have been planning to do it for a really long time, and while this is not the one epic fantasy idea I ever wanted to write, I think it's a good one. The plan is to write an end of the world urban-fantasy series. Think a world like Dresden Files, Alex Verus, Iron druid, where magic is real but exist hidden from society meets the apocalypse. It will be written in first person in the Dresden Files style, no plans for other POV for now. As you probally alredy guessed from my style, english is not my first langague, so while google corrector helps, expect grammar errors, and I'd be gratefull for anyone to point them. I plan to write 2 to 3 chapters a week, 2000-4000 words each. Might change as I get more experience and depends on my free time. Cover image from the colections of getwallpapers.com

Letters from Shanti Ashram, India
I lived in India from 1984-2005, and wrote to my parents regularly about my adventures in Indian ashrams. From 1984-1993 and again 2001-2005, I was living in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, and I am adding all of those my "Letters from India" book, which will mainly be of interest to those familiar with Prasanthi Nilayam, the ashram of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. However, from 1994-2001 I was staying at a wonderfully spiritual, quiet retreat called Shanti Ashram, and I am putting the letters I wrote to my parents while staying there, on this book. The ashram was a dream come true for sadhana. The people are welcoming, it is usually never crowded, and they offer separate cottages to aspirants. The rates are donation basis only.
