"Oi! Eyepatch, i know a shortcut, follow me!" Ogai tell this to Soseki, there should be enough time for him to walks to school, he feels grateful that his watch isn't broken, and know that when people "spirited away" time moves differently over there

"Nah... I take a normal one" says Soseki,

"Cmon Eyepatch, i didn't know what happened back there, but i feel that i owe you one, so from now on, you'll be my underling" says Ogai to Soseki

"...its fine, don't bother, i don't even know what was i doing back then" Soseki replies to Ogai

Still, Ogai tries to force Soseki to go with him, in the end, Soseki decides to follow Ogai with his shortcut, this is something that he regrets.

The first shortcut that Ogai shows having road construction

The second shortcut is to muddy to walk without dirtying their clothes

The third shortcut have a longer distance than normal path

By the time they reach the school, they already late, the Teacher starts to lecture them, but Soseki gives excuse by saying "this man help me when i get lost, ah i am a new student, so this one is my fault" the way Soseki speaks right now is very different when he's talking with Ogai before, making Ogai very surprise that he lost his word to say to the teacher

"Is this true Mori-kun?" the teacher gives a stern look to Ogai

"yes, teach! i help this man shows the right path!" Ogai answers by yelling, Soseki speaks in his heart (you owe me good this time Punk) and gives an eye signal to Ogai, in which Ogai answer with another eye signal that says (i buy you some good ramen after school!)

The teacher only sigh and letting them go, unknowingly, both of them go to the same year, even though Ogai in class 2-2 while Soseki in class 2-1, they separate and Soseki enters his class

He opens the door and says "Forgive me, i am late"

The teacher gives Soseki a tired look, and let him do the introduction

Soseki facing to the student, but he sees something that surprises him

there's one student, on his back an appearance of a kid, with red skin, a bowl cut hair, and two horns show

Soseki reflexly point his finger to that student, while taking a step back and yell "ah!!!"

long silence fills the classroom while Soseki speaks in his mind (wait a minute! how come no one realizes that thing? am i the only one that able to see it?)

After a while, a voice of a young girl breaks the silence

"u...m.. hello" Izumi nod slightly, Soseki sees the girl and think (Is that Kyouka!? ah right, introduction)

"ah right, my name is Natsume Soseki, pleased to meet you all"

"Okay, then Natsume-kun, you can tell a thing or two about yourself" the teacher urges Soseki to tell something about himself

In which Soseki answer with "nothing much, from Tokyo, starts living on this island since yesterday that's all"

the Teacher introduces herself as Kuroki Kyoumi to Soseki and starts to talk again "hm~ since there's still time on Homeroom, and looks like Natsume-kun here a little bit shy, why don't you guys ask him one or two question"

Soseki in his mind, recognize that he will not get along with a teacher named Kuroki Kyoumi, and not long after the teacher says this, some students raise their hand and ask him a question

"How's Tokyo?" Soseki answer with " like what? everything looks ordinary to me"

"What's yer deal with the eyepatch?" Soseki replies with "Private matter, don't ask that question again"

"what's inside the eyepatch?" Soseki sigh, he answers with "nothing"

another student asking about the eyepatch again "if there's nothing why bother wearing it? isn't that what they call a chuunibyou?" half of the class laugh at his comment

Soseki looks slightly annoyed, taking off his eyepatch and say "because there's nothing, not even an eye, i wear the eye patch, happy?" he speaks in a monotone voice

a silence once again fills the classroom, Kyoumi even doesn't react at all to this atmosphere, since this is their first-time meet, and she doesn't know about his deal

Soseki feels he has enough guts to challenge the student that mocking him, this time he gives a smile to the student that makes a joke before while saying "Oi~ are you happy~?"

"ah! looks like Homeroom is over, Natsume-kun, you point at Kyouka-san before right? why don't you seat near her, don't worry we redo the seat every season so you'll get chance to know everyone in this class" Kyoumi speaks like this and point to the empty seat on the right side of Izumi, Izumi nods at her teacher word.

Soseki sigh, and start to walk to that seat, actually he points to the red kid that hug a boy's neck, but from others perspective, it must be like he's pointing to Izumi back then, after Soseki sits down, Kyoumi, walk out from class in her mind she speaks (another troublesome child getting thrown in my class) and lower her shoulder

"u.....m Soseki-kun.. may i call you that? .... this may come out of nowhere but have you seen a weird dream lately?" Soseki pretty surprises, the girl that called Izumi has... a little bit different persona from what he remembers on his dream, this one seems a little bit timid

"Yeah, it's fine, I'm calling you Kyouka though and yeah... blue garden, nose man, doll and something like that right? Soseki answering her question

".....so all of that is real?, unbelievable" Izumi speaks with a low voice, but Soseki still able to hear it

"hey, Kyouka, if you don't have a plan at lunch, trust me, there's a thing more unbelievable than that" Soseki says this to Kyouka, in which Kyouka replies with "....okay then, at lunch...if you're fine.....with m-"

"Hey! whatcha deal with her!?"

"how do you lose your eyes!?"

"why are you coming here!?"

"I'm sorry it was a bad joke!"

Before Kyouka able to finish her word, another student already surround Soseki, he sighs and just answers their question that's unrelated to "how he knows Kyouka" and "everything about his right eye" until the next period starts
