《Blood Drinker》back to the drawing board

Why did I stop writing? Flaws in the story, e.g. reincarnation, his past life did almost nothing besides give him maturity, I had plans to make it into a progression skill like 1/x since he asked to remember his past life but didn't specify, but I feel like "heaven" shouldn't make that type of mistake. Another thing I focused on to heavily was world building and in my opinion, I'm really bad at coming up with names. I feel like when I get back to rewriting I'll start with Adam as a teenager.
For those that read that and was curious where the story was heading.
Adam and they graduate the royal academy with high honors. As a celebration, they go hunting in the Stein family territory, it goes astray when they fight a combined skill gone wrong. An aspiring spellcaster creates a polymorph + transformation spell that makes him a half bat/man hybrid, intelligent but feral. It attacks the group, kills some of their guards before it targets Adam. Adam gets his forearm crushed from this bite, this was the cause in his vampire thrall transformation. And the cause of his disappearance soon after. Damian trails rumors of Adam's fleeting shadow eventual getting caught up elvish territory creating a Romeo/Juliet type romance splitting them by race at war, plus Vanessa still holds a grudge on the elven ambush all those years ago. I originally planned for the continuous growing soul to be what awoke Adam from his thrall status. Adams memories are fleeting at this time but he remembers bits and pieces, people he loved like his family and friends, and more primal things like hunting people for food and to create more thralls. Adam starts to hunt down the thralls he created since he has an innate connection to them, but soon realize that he can't hunt them all since spawned more. The difference between him and the "thralls" he created was that with them being a second generation the thirst for blood while it was still there it wasn't as severe as it was for him, and more importantly, they didn't become mindless slaves like him. He eventually starts to find clues from his previous haunts and thralls collecting information that a "progenitor" is out there. I haven't figured out the motive for the big bad, but of course, Adam eventually kills it. Damian helps end the war with elves and start prepping for war with other races, races not recognized by the five gods.

Sorry for the long time wasted. but when I was writing the story these other ideas kept coming to my head distracting me.
The 2 that kept coming back the most was a weapon specialist/scientist set in a cultivator world. the cultivators in this world are the type that can sweep mountains to ash and the sort since if they could do that, I would never see the mc passing the first cultivator realistically. But he starts off as a blacksmith apprentice, where he creates his first gunpowder cannon. a weak quil demon attacks the village it kills some people and he kills it and starts to mess with the new resources he finds and starts creating new things that he could never create on earth due to the monsters unique properties.
The other was basically about the "fattie" sidekick friend every wuxia/xanxia story seems to have. The mc gets put in the fattie via reincarnation. the fattie is a silkpants(spendthrift), that indulged in a variety of things like food and women for comfort. The reason being he was born with broken meridians so his body can't hold onto that energy that he cultivates through his dantian. But he starts to cultivate a different way by constantly expanding his dantian and condensing energy. Of course the other characters cultivate their dantian as well but the mc depends on it more so his control is more fine-tuned and explosive in energy.
