《Beauty Perspective》Chapter 13

After a little while of reading by himself, the girls came back. With Sasha between them. 'Well this is interesting.'

Celine seemed to be in charge of, whatever was going on. "Master, Sasha has something to say." She then nudged Sasha. "Go on."

Sasha had her head lowered. "I-I'm sorry for being so rude to you."

"Okay." He went back to his book.

Sasha looked up annoyed. "That's it, okay? You're not going to say anything else?"

"I don't understand. Am I supposed to say something else." Now he was annoyed. "I don't really care if you like me or not. As long as you don't try to turn them against me, again, you can do whatever you want."

Sasha was shocked, her mouth agape. "But I uh.."

"I may have given you a bad impression, but I don't like being judged on assumptions. And I certainly don't like anyone trying to drive a wedge between me and the people I care about." He glared at her, till she looked away.

She teared up and look to Celine. Celine sighed at the situation. "Come on Sasha. Let's go talk again, okay." Sasha sniffled as she nodded. As they walked away, Lina looked back and forth. Unsure what to do.

Nolan waved her to go with them. She then went after them.

"Now your a monster." Someone called out.

"Fuck off." Nolan was quite angry at the moment. But, it seemed to amuse the crowd, since they started up laughing again. 'I hate them all.' He gave up and went to his room, to read.

Two hours later, and the girls return to the room. Celine could see Nolan just sitting on the bed and staring at the wall.

"Master, are you okay?" Celine was worried. He seemed depressed over something.

"I just got to thinking, and it led to a question." He turned to look at them. "Do you think I was in the wrong, when I killed my grandfather?"

Quickly, the girls shut the door and stood in front of him. "Master, for boars, trust is important. Without magic, we put our trust in our weapons, armor and comrades. If you can't be trusted, you are shunned. If you can't trust a cracked blade to last a fight, then why would you fight with a comrade you cannot trust? A man like him, that warped your sense of reality for so long, all for a joke. That man deserves death." Lina was very passionate with her words.

"I really need to talk with you later, about your culture. And thanks, it helps to hear something like that." He smiled to Lina.

"Master, do you hate Sasha?" Celine wasn't sure if they should associate with the girl or not.

"Yes and no. What she said was pretty bad and it pissed me off. But, she's still young and immature. She just needs to learn from her mistakes."

"Do you want us to be friends with her?"

"You don't need to be friends with her, if you don't want to. But, I do want you to have friends. It's not good if I try to make myself the center of your world. It's your choice." ... "Do you think I was being too mean to her?"

"It's not our place to judge you, master." Celine was uncomfortable with his question.

"I want both of you to give me an honest opinion. What do you think?"

"I think you were in the right, master. She was talking behind your back. If you can't forgive her, then I don't want to be around her." Lina was firm in her answer.

Celine then spoke up. "Master, I think you were a little excessive with her. I think you unintentionally put all your frustrations on her. You were alone for months, and it seemed to irritate you with how the adventurers treated us. You released your mental stress on her. She did wrong, but she apologized to you. If you really want to accept her apology, then everything is fine. If you don't, then we should find another place to stay. I do think you should give her a chance though." Celine was careful with her words, not wanting to blame her master.

"I guess you're right. I should probably apologize to her. Do you know where she is?"

"She's actually waiting outside the room, master."

"What?" He quickly moved to the door, and pulled it open. He stuck his head out to see Sasha waiting next to the door. "You heard everything, didn't you?"

"I'm sorry. I came to apologize, again." She was embarrassed and having trouble looking at him.

He let out a heavy sigh. "Actually, I should be apologizing. I was being too harsh. I'm sorry for going off on you." He then stuck out his hand. "Can we both just forget what happened today?"

"I would like that." She reached out and shook his hand, while still having trouble looking at him. "Thank you."

He paused for a moment, thinking about something's. "Lina, can you go with Sasha? I want to talk with Celine about our plans for tomorrow."

She looked upset by this. "Yes, master." She then left with Sasha.

Nolan closed the door and sat on the bed. "Master, are we really going to just talk?" Celine sounded doubtful.

"Do you actually think I lied to Lina, because I wanted to get rid of her?"

She then blushed in embarrassment.

"It's fine, but I'm not going to do something like that, with either of you. I promise to tell you if I just want to be alone with one of you. I don't want to do anything behind your backs."

"I'm sorry, master. I didn't mean to suggest that you would be dishonest with us."

"It's alright, just make sure Lina understands as well. Now that I think about it, she's probably thinking something's happening right now."

"It will be okay, master. I will make sure she understands. What did you want to talk about?"

"Well, tomorrow our gear should be ready. So we will suit up and go straight to the adventurers guild to go through their exam. I want you to figure out what perks we get for every rank. And if you can get at least D-rank, I'll give you ten gold for the library entrance fee, so you can go whenever you want."

"Thank you, master. I will do the best I can. I will also be sure to check if the library has anything useful about the guild, before we take the exam. Their might be something to help us in the exam." She was very excited now, and talking fast.

"I'm glad that you're excited about tomorrow." He laughed as he talked. "I was also thinking that it would be a good idea if you came up with our adventuring plans."

She paused and stared at him. "You're going to let me be in charge?"

"We'll discuss it as a group, but yeah. I want you to help lead us. You are the smart one of our group."

"I will do my best to live up to your expectations. I promise, you won't be disappointed."

He smiled at her determination. "I know you will. You've already helped me quite a bit. But I'd like to know, what you can do with your water magic."

"I can provide enough drinking water for us everyday, and enough to wash when traveling."

"Wait, is that how you always had a wet rag for me to clean up?"

"Yes, master. But, I'm not good enough to do anything other than that."

"The more I learn about you, the more I find you to be a bargain. You are just amazing."

"Thank you, master." Her smile beaming.

"Was the book any help?"

"Yes. I should be able to be more efficient with my magic. Maybe enough to bathe everyday."

"That's even better. Maybe I should get a tub then." He pondered the possibilities for a moment. "Can we fit a tub in a storage ring?"

"I don't know, master. When we get our things, we can ask Sven. I'm sure, if we can, they could sell us a good one."

"That would be great. Anything else you think we should talk about?"

"No, we should be good, for now."

"Alright, can you tell Lina? I'm going to try to see if I can figure out healing magic. Then I can start being useful."

"Yes, master. I'll go tell her everything."
